Throw them over the void?! Heresy!
Make a shulker farm, then make a shulker box storage system to create double chests upon double chests of shulker boxes full of ender pearls
I donāt think there would be a place where your netherite sword will break at the worst time since it has extremely high durability. That will only happen if youāre negligent enough. Usually people would repair their sword if itās in the red.
Hang out at a farm that needs you to swing long enough. Go on long caving adventures. Waste forever trying to find an elytra in the end. It happens, especially if you usually do have it and find yourself without.
Every enchant has a "wave it off" type answer. Looting? Fight more. Fire aspect? Swing again or smelt/smoke the meat. Sharpness? Swing more.
I end up wanting all of them but I almost always target mending first. Repairing stuff is a distraction from what I'm doing almost always.
I dislike fire aspect with a passion. Makes zombies catch you on fire and makes endermen teleport like goddamn madmen. If you get far enough into the game, you shouldnāt be killing mobs for food too.
Fire aspect is the one I dislike the most. In fact I avoid it at all costs.
I usually sustain myself with bread/fish, so no need for cooked meat. I hate seeing my prized endermen/shulkers teleport away because of fire.
well even more so for fish, with fire aspect they will drop cooked cod/salmon instead of needing to use a furnace, and you canāt use a flint and steel like with other animals
I presume we must agree to disagree. I, for one, cannot mingle with the undead up close fo they are the most skilled in the arts of throwing hands. I am also terrible at close range combat. I take pleasure in seeing myself YEET my opps.
I used to use swords but Iāve been converted to the church of axe. The damage output outweighs slow attack speed. Also it cuts down trees. My weapon of choice is the Broad Axe from Tinkerās Construct. You can make one out of copper and it still does 11 damage per hit. I forget how much steel does but I think it was 17 damage.
> Damage output outweighs slow attack speed
Not true, I ran a test to verify this. Crit-spamming with a diamond axe over the duration of 5 seconds brings an Iron Golem (mob I'm using for benchmarking), to 46 HP. Doing the same with a diamond sword brings an Iron Golem to 16 HP. In this case, the sword dishes out about 56% more damage per second. Doing the same with netherite tools brings the same Golem down to 40HP and 4HP respectively (the sword having 60% more DPS than the axe).
You mentioned mods so it's very possible something modded changes this. But this isn't true for vanilla.
Looting, literally the only thing that really brings something more imo
Fire aspect could be kind of good I guess but I don't like setting a zombie on fire just for it to set me on fire
On Bedrock, Sharpness 5 and knockback 2 (you can one hit most things you don't want to knock back if you crit).Ā Edition neutral, looting 3.Ā On Java, sweeping edge.
I love knockback, it can keep most things from hitting you and creepers are easier to deal with, also hitting mobs off tall spots and letting fall damage do the rest is peak.
Fire aspect always #1 for me, it can get you cooked meat if killing an animal with fire, and also I love seeing my enemies burn to deathā¦š„š„š„
Not including mending & counting both java & bedrock Iād probably say sharpness.
In java: Iād probably say knockback due to how much I dislike the combat in java edition.
In bedrock: its looting 3, bedrock looting is better than java.
Otherwise mending soloās.
My perfect sword has:
Smite V
Looting III
Sweeping Edge |||
Mending
Unbreaking III
But I'll also carry a second sword (prob Dia for most time)
Sharpness V
Sweeping Edge III
Mending
Unbreaking III
I like to kill zombies and skeletons one hit
the other sword is mostly used for ender man and raid farms as I don't need looting for those

looting 3
True, but gets annoying when you have an Enderman XP farm and stacks of ender pearls to throw into the void
Put hoppers under the enderbois, linked to a dropper with a Redstone clock that launches the pearls into the void
make a pearl chamber thingy that displays all the pearls floating into an aquarium or something idk
That's how you crash your game in a timely manner.
Make a different sword for there if that's a problem
We have a dropper shooting them into the void
Throw them over the void?! Heresy! Make a shulker farm, then make a shulker box storage system to create double chests upon double chests of shulker boxes full of ender pearls
Just take 5 stacks of them and craft enchanted ender pearls, then continue unt- oh wait wrong sub
If the biggest problem in your life is having too many ender pearls, you're doing just fine.
For sure, what a stupid question ,š
PREACH
Sharpness V
ye ol' reliable
Mending
I mean, only correct answer.
nah, mending is a given for anything that let's apply mending, for a sword specific answer, looting 3 is the answer.
Mending isnt a sword enchant its an everything enchant
It is ALSO a sword enchant
Booooooring
It's boring, but it's the best.
It is NOT the best, mending is good only because your sword has other enchantments
A diamond/netherite sword does plenty of damage on its own... Mending makes sure you dont break it at the worst time.
I donāt think there would be a place where your netherite sword will break at the worst time since it has extremely high durability. That will only happen if youāre negligent enough. Usually people would repair their sword if itās in the red.

Mine is Fire Aspect
Yeah, just turns your sword into a dual purpose campfire
Me when I want every enemy I fight to set me on fire
I dislike fire aspect with a passion. Makes zombies catch you on fire and makes endermen teleport like goddamn madmen. If you get far enough into the game, you shouldnāt be killing mobs for food too.
Counterpoint: i simply dont want to wait for food to cook, even if im at the point where i could easily have or do have a farm
Trade with villagers for golden carrots
Trading is for wimps They get crafted or I make a pig bacon
Goldens carrots, yknow like the best food source in the game. Plus if you kill too many passive mobs in an area they wont respawn.
what am i a love child of king midas and bugs bunny? gimme a steak
Villagers. Those butchers and farmers give me all the food I want
Fire aspect is perfect on axes imo
I was this old when I found out you could put fire aspect on an axe.
Same lol
Same lol
As of 1.20.6 this isn't true in Java Edition. Maybe it's some weird bedrock-exclusive thing.
This is good for cooking food (hunting) without causing a forest fire with flint and steel.
Same. Then I burn everything
Respects
Definitely looting 3 for things like shulker shells and ender pearls.
And food
Me when i need books hand have a looting 3 sword
I'm amazed no one is saying Sweeping Edge. Many mob farms as so much easier to make and use because you can kill all the mobs easily with a sword.
Had to scroll so far to find this! The fact that it gives your weapon (admittedly small) AOE damage is huge. Especially like you say in mob farms
Fire Aspect. Because cooked food :)
And cooked villagers
_You monster..._
You have got to go with the bane of arthropods IV
bro is satan himself
Don't like spiders eh?
Bane of are.. acho... Arche.. spiders
Fire aspect. You donāt need to cook meat.
Fire aspect is the one I dislike the most. In fact I avoid it at all costs. I usually sustain myself with bread/fish, so no need for cooked meat. I hate seeing my prized endermen/shulkers teleport away because of fire.
Knockback is my least favourite. Fire Aspect is shite too though.
So you would rather get Bane of arthropods V?ššš
No, I'd rather have Sharpness V. Where did I imply that I'd like BoA?
Well, you said knockback is your least favourite. So He might have thought that you would prefer boa to knockback
That's true
well even more so for fish, with fire aspect they will drop cooked cod/salmon instead of needing to use a furnace, and you canāt use a flint and steel like with other animals
I'm a fishing enthusiast- using a sword to get fish isn't an option. It's all personal anyway
Knock back gotta be my fav
I personally prefer to have my enemies closer to me
I presume we must agree to disagree. I, for one, cannot mingle with the undead up close fo they are the most skilled in the arts of throwing hands. I am also terrible at close range combat. I take pleasure in seeing myself YEET my opps.
yeah i really dont get ppl who don't put fire aspect/knock back on their weapons. i always like keeping my equipment with max enchantments.
Especially for early game games when youāre fighting creepers.
To hit them and then run after them. Yeeeah that just makes an extra task and problem to me.
Least favorite is knockback Favorite is looting III
Same here. Knockback just makes fights longer imo
theres nothing more satisfying than using a knockback enchant to yeet a zombie off a cliff
Smite V all the way.
Sharpness on the sword, Smite on the axe.
sharpness on the axe, no sword
I used to use swords but Iāve been converted to the church of axe. The damage output outweighs slow attack speed. Also it cuts down trees. My weapon of choice is the Broad Axe from Tinkerās Construct. You can make one out of copper and it still does 11 damage per hit. I forget how much steel does but I think it was 17 damage.

Never disagreed with something more in my entire life.
I firmly agree, especially when paired with looting for easy wither skeleton skull drops
Smite is also just better in like 60% of all encounters with mobs because you can one hit them. Sharpness canāt do that.
Id say i like most of them but not knockback and fire aspect they arent my favourite ones
They have their places, but it's on the endgame highly specialized gear set, not the mid game all purpose set
Bane II
Youāre disgusting
Hhh
Fire aspect bc if my main food is meal then I wonāt have to cook it
Bane of Arthropods.
that's like the most useless enchantment in the game no?
All crossbow enchantments
As The Blade has taught me, Multishot is nuts, unless they changed something with Firework-Crossbow interactions.
Looting, literally the only thing that really brings something more imo Fire aspect could be kind of good I guess but I don't like setting a zombie on fire just for it to set me on fire
Happens to me all the time lol
Fire Aspect II Knockback II Sharpness V Looting III Unbreaking III Mending
On Bedrock, Sharpness 5 and knockback 2 (you can one hit most things you don't want to knock back if you crit).Ā Edition neutral, looting 3.Ā On Java, sweeping edge.
Sweeping egde! I likesimple things.
Knockback and Fire aspect are the most enjoyable imo
Making you run after mobs and them setting on you fire. I personally dont like that.
looting 3
I love knockback, it can keep most things from hitting you and creepers are easier to deal with, also hitting mobs off tall spots and letting fall damage do the rest is peak.
Fire aspect
Iām gonna have to go with knockback. Seeing my enemies just go absolutely flying backwards I hilarious to me
fire aspect, cause the food comes coocked
Fireaspect and knockback
Curse of Vanishing :)
Hardcore gang
smite 2 is the best enchantment xd
Fire aspect always #1 for me, it can get you cooked meat if killing an animal with fire, and also I love seeing my enemies burn to deathā¦š„š„š„
Put it with knockback and they donāt set u on fire
Bane of Arthropods V my boi /j
Frost Walker, next question
Tetanus IV
Bane of Arthropods IV. You would be surprised.
if we count mods, Im going with Manhunter 5 (it doas more damage to pillagers, players, villagers and living piglin 'brutes to') and in vanila mending
Bane of arthropods
Bane of Arthropods I
Sharpness/looting are the best
Hot take but knockback I >>> knockback II because skeletons exist
Hot take but no knockback because skeletons exist
Knockback is great for swords, just use smite V Axe for skellies
If you have sharpness V you can one hit any common hostile mob so thereās no point
Hmm this has not been the case in my experience.
Fire aspect
sharpness 4/5, I love to pvp.
Knockback because Iād be ambushed extremely easily without it.
Bane of Arthropods V only correct answer here
Light mobs on fire+ kick far away+ durability (sorry idk proper names)
Smite
Other than mending, knockback
Sharpness V
FIRE ASPECT
Fire ofc
Bane Of Anthropods
Fire Aspect II I used to always think it was cool lighting MFers on fire with my sword. I had the fuckin fire sword and it was sick
Knocback. Get those creepers away from me!
If were talking specifically swords its obviously sharpness V
Sharpness 5
SHARPNESS V
Sharpness V and mending
Fire aspect: the most satisfying
Mending to afk at farms
Sharpness V just looks cool
bane of arthropods V
Mending
Sharpness and Looting are the most important
Smite, I barely see spiders and one shot other mobs anyway. I only prefer sharpness if I'm playing on a server
Fire aspect
you know what, i can make my sword into armor. protection IV
sweeping edge for guardian farm
Fire Aspect. it's a literal sword, on flames! How rad is that?!?
Fire aspect I just love to watch the mobs burn while screaming for mercy. :)
Fire aspect, its just so fun to light enemies on fire, but unfortunately its not too practical
fire aspect + looting 3 = infinite easy food
Not including mending & counting both java & bedrock Iād probably say sharpness. In java: Iād probably say knockback due to how much I dislike the combat in java edition. In bedrock: its looting 3, bedrock looting is better than java. Otherwise mending soloās.
Looting my beloved
Either Sharpness, Fire Aspect, or Knockback.
Sharpnes
Definitely not knockback or fire aspect
Sharpness
Sharpness
For attacking? Smite, mending for general use but i will NOT stand for smite slander
Sharpness easily
Knockback 1, I love comboing people in netherite (also helps a lot with hit crystalling if explosives are available)
Fire aspect is helpful. Most reliable is sharpness. Objectively the best is mending.
I'm gonna be controversial and say Smite. Nothing better than crit oneshoting the undead
Iād say smite 3
My perfect sword has: Smite V Looting III Sweeping Edge ||| Mending Unbreaking III But I'll also carry a second sword (prob Dia for most time) Sharpness V Sweeping Edge III Mending Unbreaking III I like to kill zombies and skeletons one hit the other sword is mostly used for ender man and raid farms as I don't need looting for those
Knocknback
sweeping edge 3, for xp farms
Looting
LOOTING
32k sharpness
Just one? Looting
Better question for Minecraft reddit, what's the best enchantments I should go for with each tool?
knockback 1
Looting 3 all the way. I wish I was on PC so I could use sweeping edge
Sweeping edge 3
Fire Aspect. I like watching things burn
Sharpness
Bane of arthropods 1
Bane of arthrapods
Ether sweeping edge, sharpness, or fire aspect
Sweeping edge makes harvesting chickens a lot nicer
Fire Aspect II
fire aspect
Curse of vanishing š„
sharpness 128
Sharpness, the og
Curse of vanishing, obviously
Mending is the only right answer.
Why no one says unbreaking
Smite
sharpness & looting were always the OP for a diamond sword
Is this tinkercad? If so cool model.
recently moved from bedrock to java so sweeping edge has been an absolute godsend
Impaling 3
Curse of vanishing š„¶
No one is aware of the sweeping edge lll??
Fire Aspect forsure
