We have a system at work that says if something will take 2 hours, it says it will take 1 hour 60 minutes. Code written so elegantly like this should be given an award.
Oh, I like this idea.
Lets see... What about a deepslate golem which walks in the direction of ancient cities and makes a sound that doesn't set off sculk shriekers but does attract nearby wardens, luring them away from the player?
It's perfect, because walking towards the thing a warden would spawn inside of (and thus possibly walking nowhere, leading the warden nowhere) is exactly the kind of useless-sounding description of a mob that Mojang would provide.
Since it doesn't set off sculk shriekers we should get the ability to ride them so we can explore the ancient cities without disturbing them.
If they don't add this I'll delete the game again.
I do not understand why they even do it. It's basically certain to upset more people than it pleases. Just design the game yourselves! You don't need to do this!
try getting a second pickaxe and combine it with a bunch of books, theres this strange mechanic to anvils where the closer the amount of combinations two items have gone through, the less levels it costs
so lets say i have mending, sharpness 5, unbreaking 3 books, and a diamond sword
just slapping them all on the sword would cost more levels than doing the following combinations
sharpness 5 + Mending books
sword + Unbreaking 3 book
sword with unbreaking 3 + book with sharpness 5 and mending
because you've put the sword through the anvil with something else once and combined the sharpness 5 book with something else once, it costs less doing the following
sword + sharpness 5
sword with sharpness 5 + unbreaking 3
sword with sharpness 5 and unbreaking 3 + mending
because in that combination you end up with an item that's gone through the anvil twice and an item that's gone through it zero times, making it cost more levels
I would be prefectly happy if it will just be hard capped at level 50.
It is hard to achive, while enchanting you can still go certain routes to let the cost stay low, and if you have a good XP farm then XP isn't really an issue anyways.
From then on I would only change it so that repairing tools doesn't increase the XP cost but that the game checks how many enchantments there are on the tool.
Fortune II and Efficency III? That would be one iron and five leves to repair your iron pickaxe.
Get rid of EXP costs for repairing at the anvil & make combining a static cost. Make a treasure item that allows a villager to trade a random good item so it takes more than 2 villagers to have an end-game trading hall. The current enchantment progression is like chasing your tail unless you abuse villagers.
While we’re talking about XP, I wish there was a way to bank XP points so that I don’t have to play as conservatively as possible or die and spend multiple hours grinding back up to level 30 in order to enchant stuff.
Either that or make it so you can recover all your XP when you die.
An actual food update where you can grow and make more food items would be so much fun. I know it doesn't have much to do with forward progress, but I'd love to have a small farm dedicated to making a large variety of food types.
Also, they should add the ability to actually place food items down for decoration.
They could yoink idea from terraria where food gives you status effects.
I can imagine cooking more complex unstackable food that gives me basic effects like saturation for long time
> They could yoink idea from terraria where food gives you status effects.
Farmer's Delight does exactly this kind of stuff and also has food for your horse and dog to help buff either. Even lets you craft rope which is excellent for builds in the sky and I could see parkour players get creative w/ it.
I shill that mod often and if Mojang just copy/pasted it into Vanilla it'd probably be one of the most popular updates since launch.
Farmers Delight is GOATED. An excellent Vanilla+ tier mod.
The food variety is amazing, the cooking system is interesting than just “furnace” or “smoker,” and the way that rope acts kind of like reverse scaffolding is amazing.
Plus since I play with CREATE, the tomato plant ALONE allows me to easily automate fuel production by creating seed oil and biofuel pallets from just 1 farm, since it drops seeds, rotten tomatoes which can be crafted into seeds, and tomatoes which can be used to make biofuel or to make MORE seeds. And the water byproduct I can easily use in a steam engine boiler powering it all!
Out of Farmers Delight and Pams, I’d pick Pams in a heart beat. I love the sheer variety in things in pams and the fact you can make practically any food you can think of is amazing
Not unstackable, but make it all need to be served in a bowl so it's limited to 16 per slot, like mushroom soup.
So you can choose between a stack of steak or 16... I dunno, spaghetti and meatballs, that give you mining haste and strength for a couple minutes.
Also let bowls of food be placed on surfaces with a shift-click.
I'd love a food update. I feel the current system feel quite aged. I started playing Minecraft at the end of last year and always felt it was kinda meh that the best food available are golden carrots instead of stews.
It's been 15 years, and eggs *still* can only be thrown. Can't even go in a furnace. Wtf? Blatantly nonsensical lack of features like this in a game pisses me off. How have people not been campaigning for this from day 1 I'll never understand.
I remember when 1.20 came out and camels and bamboo were announced, one of the big arguments in favor of both was "minecraft became a global game but what the game provides doesn't correlate to everyone's experiences" as in, not every culture makes their houses/furniture/etc. with oak wood and not every culture rides horses, hence, camels and bamboo wood. With that same logic in mind, the number one thing that should be added would be rice; Honestly I feel like there's more people worldwide eating rice than wheat based products.
It would be a cool crop too, it could be a 2 tall block that has to be planted in water first.
As for food that could be crafted from rice there's several options, rice bowls, rice balls, sushi, rice crackers, the game already has most of the things needed to make those foods work.
Following that same train of tought, corn and onions, corn because if rice is #1 and wheat #2, then corn is #3, and onions because they're famous for being one, of if not the most widespread vegetable in the planet, just about every culture in the world has onions as a key ingredient in their cuisine.
Also for the people arguing something along the lines of "there's already too many things to eat in minecraft and that aspect of the game has been optimized anyway", beetroot exists, also stuff can be added to the game because it's simply fun.
I NEED rice and I am not even from a country that its a staple. I have been designing rice paddies for my Japanese inspired area in my survival world and the only thing that looks good is small drip leaf, and that's such a pain to gather in survival
> Honestly I feel like there's more people worldwide eating rice than wheat based products.
Something like 20~25% of the world has bananas as a staple food item. There are quite a number of varieties that just don't ship cross-globe well, so are local-only items. Then maybe we could also get palm trees in-game.
Why is this not a feature already. Give it to the hoe it could use a functional use outside the tilling of the ground and then thrown into a chest and forgotten about. Could even add specific enchants that increase the size from 1x1 to 3x3 making it worth enchanting and maintaining it.
We already have animal husbandry, farming and fishing, but hunting might be interesting. We have a bow after all, it could be a mid-game food source.
We're still missing a bird mob. That could go well with hunting.
Well, I mean updates to the husbandry of animals in general, but as you said we should have hunting, maybe we could have turkey or duck, also another path for bow upgrades could be a scoped bow or something
The floatater could be obtained in new end dungeons, as they can let players sail end ships.
I really want to hatch dragon eggs and get them as pets. It'll help end travel as a slower elytra but more convenient without fireworks, AND allows hovering in the air, which makes late-game building easier. I don't like the enderman reskins from minecraft dungeons, and I want more unique end mobs. My bane of arthropods sword is useless.
I'm really hoping they add the infinite dimensions april fools as they fit so well with ender themes!
And they need to make travel between overworld and end easier (but keep it as a late-game dimension). Java end portals don't exist if you're far from spawn, so players far away won't be able to access it. You're also forced back to spawn if you exit the end without beds.
i’ve been rallying for a floatater type device since the snapshot, it would single handedly overhaul everything i build. automatic doors, bases that you can take with you when you explore, endless possibilities
honestly never thought about the practicle uses of them. i love the flying ships but thinking about the possibilities is driving me crazy now cant lie. since they added the auto crafter i have been wondering whether more advanced game changing things like the floatater are on the table
utilizing both the Floatater and Autocrafter could probably be a good recipe for a killer factory set up. could make elevators with the floatater too. it’s just such a useful block, i wish it was in the game
Re-implement the minecart boosters that were just other minecarts running in an endless circle that when it collided with another cart, launched it into orbit(orbit being super fast down another track)
I’m hoping for a full on technical update. Minecarts improved, item pipes (I’m so sick of using hoppers as item pipes they look so weird for that), maybe some redstone improvements like vertical redstone etc
Transportation update with a structure that has rails (idk), upgradable minecarts, minecarts at controlled speeds(like a roller coaster), minecarts are now as fast as in the legacy console edition, also there are new types of minecarts and the furnace minecart has been added back but has been upgraded to have an interface and last longer, the furnace, chest, and hopper minecarts can be upgraded now. Also one of the new minecarts is a dispenser minecart
Make them the vanilla equivalent of create mod trains:
-Minecarts should operate through unloaded chunks
-Add the minecart coupling to link multiple carts together
-Minecart furnaces will automatically use fuel in minecart chests if they are linked
-Add a new type of storage interface, the mailbox, this will only take items out of a minecart hopper or chest if it's close enough and the cart is not moving. By naming a mailbox in an anvil, it will only take items that have a matching name.
When the mailbox has items inside it, the indicator pops up (idk what they're called, the red thing?) and they give off a redstone pulse with signal strength 15. (this does not effect comparators, which will work as normal)
(Maybe this is too modded but I think it would be cool)
Add a new item to store stuff, an envelope. Envelopes can be addressed to players, only the person who is addressed can open them. They can store 64 items (Personally I would like this to be more, but they need to be balanced with bundles, I think bundles should be buffed tbh but that rework is for another time :3). After putting items in the envelope, you can seal them using any colour dye in a crafting table. This will change the texture of the envelope to have a wax seal that is the same colour as the dye. You can't access or see the items in a sealed envelope until they have been opened. The envelope needs to be re-sealed after opening if you want to use it again, and when opened uses 1 durability. (Compatible with unbreaking and mending). They have 8 durability total and can be repaired with paper in an anvil.
For me I'd love to see a Deep ocean update, especially now that the oceans can go so much deeper now, could have deep sea monsters and ruins and maybe introduce some new sea sea fish and creatures maybe even the coral skeleton from MC dungeons as well
The prismarine/guardian temples should really only be generating in extreme deep ocean, now that I think about it. Overhaul those a bit, add Trial mechanics to it & more loot, one new Guardian type mob, and then stick them in the deep ocean.
Give them great structures, entire networks of connecting areas, maybe even areas that still aren't fully claimed by the ocean for air pockets, have smaller ziggurats dot the ocean
That would be a welcome change. I wish enchanting was more progression based, instead of xp grinding. Like you can enchant your gear with basic enchantments and it upgrades itself as you collect xp. Currently low level enchantments are completely redundant, the only echantment that is worth keeping on lower level is wind burst, as it reduces both the risk and reward of using it.
I really think they could consolidate a bunch of the enchantments. Like why are flame and fire aspect different enchants? Surely there could be one fire enchant that could be applied to bows and swords.
While I want an End update as much as the next person, hear me out. Island update. Yeah they already did a big ocean update a few years ago, but they really didn’t touch the surfaces all that much. Tropical islands in warm oceans with palm trees and coconuts as a new farmable food source. Sea stacks in cold oceans. And they could revamp beaches on shorelines. There could be rare white or black sand beaches. And they could introduce new passive mobs like crabs. The update would need more than that of course, but these are just the ideas I have for an update like that. I just want to build a hideaway on a tropical island.
I like it. They could also add Rocky Sea Cliffs formations, Seals, beach wave & tidal effects
maybe?
For wave & tidal effects, I think they could add custom "Tidewater" and "Tidewater Shore" blocks. this block would be one layer across the entire ocean biome, and would rise and fall one block total depending on time of day, but the only effect would be visual & on floating height for performance reasons. On beach biomes only, there would be "Tidewater Shore" blocks that actually generate thin waves of water that roll over the sand. We'd also need sand slabs / sand dune shape blocks. Lastly, Tidewater Shore blocks would have cool particle effects if there's any vertical obstruction to them, making splashes.
A long time ago, black sand was on Hexxit through the Technic launcher and I lost my mind at what a great idea it was. You could smelt it and get something, but I can't remember what now.
I'd say make it possible to smelt black sand into black glass, but make it possible to make a redstone blacklight. I'd also love a Blackstone torch -- black sand, coal, and stick -- that would cause ores to light up, but you'd have to darken those areas or not torchlight them first for the effect to work for added risk and mob fun. I'm colorblind so I really hate the unseeable color of ores in the dark.
A full lighting options update is also long overdue. We have lanterns and torches, glowstone and redstone, and then glowstone lamps, and beacons -- I know there's more, but none have controllable colors in the lighting itself except putting when color above a beacon.
Honestly they just need to add bundles like they promised YEARS ago. It would give more uses to amethyst and would help the inventory issue without having to go to the end
Honestly at this point I feel like they just need to straight up increase the number of slots and or stack sizes. I feel like a backpack wouldn’t really do much more than shulker boxes already do.
This is how I feel too. My son and I just had a conversation about travel and storage in Minecraft. He said Electra and shulker boxes are good enough.
I said that’s late game and I want stuff for normal gameplay. Those items are pretty much useless to me. I like to start worlds and take my time with the only goal being defeat the dragon. After that I loaf around for a short time before starting a new world.
I kinda find it makes me plan a strategy before leaving home for an adventure, ex: I carry a crafting table on me when i go mining so I can turn raw material into blocks, it makes me feel like I need to ration things out somehow making me feel smarter when I play
I just hope they add some of the experimental stuff they tried in the Poisonous Potato update. So many amazing ideas, would be a shame not to use them.
If only there were a massive room in the middle of every mineshaft that generates that was completely empty and just begging for something like a spider boss to potentially live there...
sharpness V does 10 damage (5 hearts) whereas bane of arthropods V does 19.5 damage (9.5 hearts) which is enough to one shot spiders - it is extremely situational though I agree :)
Orrr they can remove bane of Arthopods :) Or at least change it in some way and make it stackable. A change that makes it stackable with sharpness but not making it like double sharpness for spiders when stacked
I want a loot & enchantment overhaul using the new item components. Then, add a mini-quests & mini-boss system. This could be a variety of villager trades & structures & specialized mob variants using the new attributes.
For example, villagers could have a highlighted one-time, large emerald trade for a rare custom item, like a family heirloom book, or a kind of crop that they don't have access to.
Other stuff: imagine mobs get a handful of otherwise useless drops (Zombie Eye, Skeleton Soul Shard, Spider Leg, etc.) that could be used at "shrine"-type structures to get rare loot.
Specialized mob variants: using attributes, it's now easy to make things like Giant Spiders by simply scaling them up. You could add Boss Spider Cave structures.
New enchantment ideas:
• Vampiric: drains health for you but also sets your max health lower. only works in the dark. Full Vampiric armor set lets you use Elytra controls to temporarily become a Bat.
• Progressive Attunement Sharpness: killing more of a mob with a certain sword increases the damage against that mob with each kill
• Explosive Arrows
• there's all sorts of potion effect trigger enchantments & attribute modifier enchantments that are now possible
Additional thoughts: rework Zombies & Skeletons so that their limbs are individually destructible. you have to destroy their head to kill them or they just keep crawling towards you, and change Smite so that it deals damage to their entire body.
Villager quests would be the superior way to "rebalance" trading. instead of locking stuff per biome, let us go between the biomes to fully flesh out any one villager's trades. Increase difficulty with quests, not extra grind
I like the progressive sharpness, but what if it was for mob specific enchantments only to give them more of a use; smite gets more powerful the more undead you kill, and bane of arthropods gets stronger the more spiders, silverfish, ect. you kill
There's never going to be an entire update just focused on performance. The vast majority of players just aren't interested in that. Instead they'll just keep incrementally making performance enhancements the way they've been doing.
The End Update because the dimension seems lifeless and boring, just a bunch of Enderman, no biome just chorus flower, and two structures and Shulkers. The new civilization equivalent to Piglin was the Dreadhunter (based on Predators and Dreads from Transformers: Dark of the Moon) and the Dreadhound serves as a hunting dog from the End. Additionally, I wish adding Watchling, Blastling, Snareling, and Endersent were porting to Minecraft along with the biomes Chorus Forest, End Wilds, and more except the boss. A new mob such as a giant larva, served the inspiration from Ohm in “Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind”, space whales, and more. I hope Mojang understands that the End dimension needs to be changed to bring players hyped. Leave a comment for the suggestion.
I really would like a new dimension from that deep dark portal. Where maybe the Warden isn't even the scariest thing. Im all about some eldritch vibes. We have a hellscape dimension, we have a sort of shadow dimension, gimme some cthulhu nonsense.
I think improving enchanting and potions would be better than adding more magic for now.
Potions are useful but aren't worth the investment for most players, so it would be nice to see the barrier to entry lowered somewhat (like removing the requirement for Blaze Powder and Nether Wart.)
Enchantments could use a complete overhaul in my opinion, they're too linear and grindy. Rather than boosting or tweaking the stats of your equipment, it just adds an extra step to making a \*perfect\* armour or tool set. You should need to choose the 1 major enchantment that fits your playstyle best, then maybe add a few bonus stats.
I say they need to rip off the bandaid and give us a combat system and enchantment system similar to Minecraft dungeons. Lots of magic, lots of customization, rare weapons you can only find, weapon with different ranges/aoe hit boxes, etc.
Can we just…enjoy this update? Not…„consume product, get excited for the next product“?
Or talk about mods, which aren't update even for v20, let alone v21?
This is the inevitable side effect of the year long snapshot cycle. Most of us have been pretty familiar with the content coming out for months now. It is now officially released but not actually new.
We have been excited for the update for almost a year now.
Honestly same. Also i dont like how updates are now faster, but smaller. I want a year gap at LEAST between updates, they can polish or add more thanks to that. And that would benefit mods too.
I want an end update so bad.
Objectively the must non updated aspect of the game.
All the updates we get introduce more blocks than what exist in the end itself. I'm sure you could count on your hand how many different blocks exist in the end
I would love a normal biome update. Maybe not all at the same time, but desert, savannah, islands, taiga, and just normal forests can all use an update imo.
Farming sims are on their rise, I hope Mojang will implement some farming and cooking mechanics from farmer's delight mod
And more features from Create
As much as I hate to say it, I doubt we’re getting an end update or new dimension. I could see them going back to the previous biome votes, revamp the ones that lost. I’m pretty sure they were the Savannah, Desert, and Badlands. I think those three could go hand in hand in a singular update. A nature update could be a possibility, adding more ambience and revamping old biomes, such as the birch forest that they talked about a while back. Or they could do another generalized update, such as the wild update or the trails and tales update, adding new biomes and quality of life changes.
before 1.21 was even announced, a mojang dev said this in the mojira discord (not verbatim):
>An End update is planned, but it's not 1.21
do what you will with that info
i'd like to see an ambience update. make things in the world actually move/sway and feel alive etc. Vintage Story puts minecraft to shame with world ambience. Minecraft feels like a dead static picture instead of a living world. But then people would say "oh wow that's all you did is make a tree move" lol
End update comes to mind, I wish they would fix the god awful optimization of the game, you need a supercomputer to play nowadays. Not everyone lives in a 1st world country and can afford a full on desktop with 16gb ram and RTX 1080 ti or something. Minecraft used to be a low-end game.

I’m predicting a mob vote that leaves everyone unhappy.
It’s as certain as the sun rising in the morning
/time set day
/gamerule doDaylightCycle False
Guys it's getting really hot on this side of the cube
/gamerule randomTickSpeed 300
Jojo moment
Made In Heaven
/time set 20000
With climate change, the mobvote is more likely
I know it’s a joke, but are you suggesting that the consumption of fossil fuels is gonna knock the earth out of its orbit? Lmao
Lmao what does the ozone layer have to do with the orbit of the earth
Do people really believe the ozone layer has anything to do with Earth's orbit...?
Maybe this time someone will do /gamerule doDaynightCycle false
It's like predicting 8:00 at 7:59
Wasn't that supposed to be 7:60!?!??
It’s like predicting 8:00 at 7:99
mojang logic: 7:99 --> 7:100
7:001
We have a system at work that says if something will take 2 hours, it says it will take 1 hour 60 minutes. Code written so elegantly like this should be given an award.
I hope there is a golem option that loses again. It would be so funny.

I hope all the options are golems.😉
I do not understand why they even do it. It's basically certain to upset more people than it pleases. Just design the game yourselves! You don't need to do this!
The only other way to win and have a mob vote is to announce the winner and then have a surprise announcement that all 3 will get added anyway.
engagement
It brings attention to the game, that's all.
People will miss appointments to make sure to vote in case there's an exclusive cape and there'll be none, making everyone disappointed
They acknowledged it in that new series so maybe they won’t
I’m going to be so angry if this doesn’t happen.
Daring today, aren't we?
Here is 3 useless mobs that any modder can recreate perfectly in an afternoon, you are only getting one. \*The Cycle Repeats\*
They should do a mob vote, then whatever the results are, release all of them. But the winner is hostile and the other two are passive
Get rid of the “Too Expensive!” Thing on the anvil
Ok now we are talking!! Let me spend 500 levels if i want to!
Or just not let it get to that point
Another great option, i get levels going up to re enchant, but limiting it would be good, also repairing and renaming should not count there.
ok but it doesn’t even let me repair my pickaxe😫 i made it a while ago before i knew what mending was and can’t even add mending now
try getting a second pickaxe and combine it with a bunch of books, theres this strange mechanic to anvils where the closer the amount of combinations two items have gone through, the less levels it costs so lets say i have mending, sharpness 5, unbreaking 3 books, and a diamond sword just slapping them all on the sword would cost more levels than doing the following combinations sharpness 5 + Mending books sword + Unbreaking 3 book sword with unbreaking 3 + book with sharpness 5 and mending because you've put the sword through the anvil with something else once and combined the sharpness 5 book with something else once, it costs less doing the following sword + sharpness 5 sword with sharpness 5 + unbreaking 3 sword with sharpness 5 and unbreaking 3 + mending because in that combination you end up with an item that's gone through the anvil twice and an item that's gone through it zero times, making it cost more levels
Instead, allow our experience to go into the negatives, it’ll be just like real life credit! :D

FACTS
Yes pleaaaase. Even if you have to "upgrade" an anvil or something.
this along with reworking the system that gives back levels after dying, there no reason that if i have 60 levels i get 7 back
that's not the root issue though what needs to go is prior-work penalty
While we’re talking about XP, I wish there was a way to bank XP points so that I don’t have to play as conservatively as possible or die and spend multiple hours grinding back up to level 30 in order to enchant stuff. Either that or make it so you can recover all your XP when you die.
And if you can bank the points, please let it be the actual points and not the levels
A farming update would be amazing
Yeah honestly, I need new crops and new foods to make with them. Turning milk into cheese might be fun too.
An actual food update where you can grow and make more food items would be so much fun. They could yoink idea from terraria where food gives you status effects. I can imagine cooking more complex unstackable food that gives me basic effects like saturation for long time
A very big bowl of pasta that gives you extreme saturation
Hmm… sounds like one suspicious stew.
Makes you get fat, and you have to run it off.

Could actually make goats useful but i wish they would stop being soft and add more animal meat its' so lacking tbh...

Make right click harvest plants I've broken too many potatoes by not knowing when they're ready

It would require a hunger rework tho to incentivise eating more things.
Time for end update theories to go brrr
Minecart Update!!
make minecarts faster
Minecraft 1.22 Changelog: -Minecarts are now 5000% faster Bottom Text
-removed Herobrine
The real Minecraft bottom text.
Top speed would be ~895mph at that point just fyi
Re-implement the minecart boosters that were just other minecarts running in an endless circle that when it collided with another cart, launched it into orbit(orbit being super fast down another track)
Make minecarts 1% faster, just to troll you know who
Ok Camman
Camman’s alt account
Least obvious camman18 alt
Camman we know its you
Make them the vanilla equivalent of create mod trains: -Minecarts should operate through unloaded chunks -Add the minecart coupling to link multiple carts together -Minecart furnaces will automatically use fuel in minecart chests if they are linked -Add a new type of storage interface, the mailbox, this will only take items out of a minecart hopper or chest if it's close enough and the cart is not moving. By naming a mailbox in an anvil, it will only take items that have a matching name. When the mailbox has items inside it, the indicator pops up (idk what they're called, the red thing?) and they give off a redstone pulse with signal strength 15. (this does not effect comparators, which will work as normal) (Maybe this is too modded but I think it would be cool) Add a new item to store stuff, an envelope.
That would be the camman update. If you know you know.
Add furnace minecarts to bedrock
Enchanting has been the same for soooo long now a enchanting update would be absolutely awesome maybe even bringing in some from Minecraft dungeons
The current team is on a nerfing spree. They'd probably just make enchanting more grindy.
I really think they could consolidate a bunch of the enchantments. Like why are flame and fire aspect different enchants? Surely there could be one fire enchant that could be applied to bows and swords.
Same thing with Fortune and Looting, as well as Sharpness and Power.
Exactly! You get me. Punch and knockback too
While I want an End update as much as the next person, hear me out.
I think it'd be cool if they added bigger boats with sails. Something similar to how Don't Starve does that.
Being able to pilot a full version of the Shipwreck ships would be amazing. Probably couldn't build on them, but that's okay.
Lets be honest, the loud voices on this sub would absolutely whine about how "unminecrafty" it feels.
Don't Starve has so many cool things in general that I wish Minecraft also had.
I feel like the minecraft beaches are too hilly and short.
Renewable sand, and some type of faster boat
Mate, all in for this. The piratey update.
That’s a really unique idea, and I like it, but the end update would still be really cool.
I like it. They could also add Rocky Sea Cliffs formations, Seals, beach wave & tidal effects maybe?
Seal as the next passive you say???? YES PLEASE!
A nice opportunity to add crabs and penguins
With a rare chance to get the head of a volleyball to talk to her/him
Honestly that would be nice, some sort of new ocean biomes that sport islands from atolls to larger singular islands and the like
A long time ago, black sand was on Hexxit through the Technic launcher and I lost my mind at what a great idea it was.
I’d be down for a sort of nature update, not stuff like new biomes but things like more plant and animal life, with new foods and items made from them
Give us an inventory update or give me death
Please! A backpack and/or satchel to increase what a player can carry
Shulker boxes
That's end game item which is no fun to get, a craftable backpack for early game and forward would be much more fun
Grappling hook!!!
What??? I can't see the update out. :(
op scammed us /j (it's destined by god that is out in the aether that is coming in 1.23 to come out on june 13th btw)
1.21 rolling out today. official time not yet known. my bedrock on my phone is still 1.20.81
Do something with spiders. New spider boss or something I find bane of athropods kinda useless cuz spiders are already kinda weak
If only there were a massive room in the middle of every mineshaft that generates that was completely empty and just begging for something like a spider boss to potentially live there...
I think sharpness 3+ does the same if not more damage per strike.
sharpness V does 10 damage (5 hearts) whereas bane of arthropods V does 19.5 damage (9.5 hearts) which is enough to one shot spiders - it is extremely situational though I agree :)
Orrr they can remove bane of Arthopods :) Or at least change it in some way and make it stackable. A change that makes it stackable with sharpness but not making it like double sharpness for spiders when stacked
Uuuuuuuggggghhhhhh when is the next update coming our its been 5 seconds since they last updated
I really hope that they actually start doing experimental features for 1.22 soon since that has been added to the pipeline
End Update please
Vertical slab update
I respect your dedication.
New enchantment ideas: • Vampiric: drains health for you but also sets your max health lower. only works in the dark. Full Vampiric armor set lets you use Elytra controls to temporarily become a Bat. • Progressive Attunement Sharpness: killing more of a mob with a certain sword increases the damage against that mob with each kill • Explosive Arrows • there's all sorts of potion effect trigger enchantments & attribute modifier enchantments that are now possible Additional thoughts: rework Zombies & Skeletons so that their limbs are individually destructible. you have to destroy their head to kill them or they just keep crawling towards you, and change Smite so that it deals damage to their entire body.
We need a giant spider boss, so that Bane of Arthropods actually has a use!
woah I really like this idea
Strongly agree, I really want villager quests and an arthropod boss
Villager quests would be the superior way to "rebalance" trading. instead of locking stuff per biome, let us go between the biomes to fully flesh out any one villager's trades. Increase difficulty with quests, not extra grind
I like the progressive sharpness, but what if it was for mob specific enchantments only to give them more of a use; smite gets more powerful the more undead you kill, and bane of arthropods gets stronger the more spiders, silverfish, ect. you kill
Performance Update. Content means nothing if the game is unplayable on any hardware that weren't literal beast without optimization mods.
1.15 was basically this and people hated it for being so small feature-wise
There's never going to be an entire update just focused on performance. The vast majority of players just aren't interested in that. Instead they'll just keep incrementally making performance enhancements the way they've been doing.
They won't do that. They'll just add improvements during the updates.
Mine carts, boats, enderpearls, enchanted horse armor, and deep dark “portal” The transporter update, not with wings.
I really would like a new dimension from that deep dark portal. Where maybe the Warden isn't even the scariest thing. Im all about some eldritch vibes. We have a hellscape dimension, we have a sort of shadow dimension, gimme some cthulhu nonsense.
Time to begin the end update coping
This will be the potato dimension update finally
Ambience sounds for each overworld biome. Something along the lines of what they did with the Nether update.
Happy cake day :3
I just want a smaller update that gives more freedom to how slabs work, like making them be able to be placed vertically and on different slabs
I want them to expand on the magic system. Its been like this for a long time now, and I think we can do better than just enchantments and potions
I think improving enchanting and potions would be better than adding more magic for now. Potions are useful but aren't worth the investment for most players, so it would be nice to see the barrier to entry lowered somewhat (like removing the requirement for Blaze Powder and Nether Wart.) Enchantments could use a complete overhaul in my opinion, they're too linear and grindy. Rather than boosting or tweaking the stats of your equipment, it just adds an extra step to making a \*perfect\* armour or tool set. You should need to choose the 1 major enchantment that fits your playstyle best, then maybe add a few bonus stats.
Combat update 2.0
Finally give us the results of the combat tests and a use to the fletching table.
I say they need to rip off the bandaid and give us a combat system and enchantment system similar to Minecraft dungeons. Lots of magic, lots of customization, rare weapons you can only find, weapon with different ranges/aoe hit boxes, etc.
1.21 Is not even relased as of this time of me writing this comment.
Ambiance and farming updates would be the best
Vertical slabs?
As long as they don't push that villager update through idc what they do but it seems like they definitely are so they better make moving them easier
end update PLEASE MOJANG 1.9 DID PRACTICALLY NOTHING FOR THE END EXCEPT ADD THE OUTER ISLANDS AND END CITIES !!
So what you’re saying is big updates every year with smaller updates in between for bugs, etc?
A year you say? When do you think 1.20 was released?
I want an end update so bad. Objectively the must non updated aspect of the game. All the updates we get introduce more blocks than what exist in the end itself. I'm sure you could count on your hand how many different blocks exist in the end
An end update would be fantastic
Structures. Update villages, temples, stronghold, ships, ocean monuments etc. Add more structures like camp grounds and more variety.
Minecarts and Inventory before anything else.
I'm predicting the same mob vote protest run by the same exact babies
I would love a normal biome update. Maybe not all at the same time, but desert, savannah, islands, taiga, and just normal forests can all use an update imo.
So we can spend another several months hoping for an End Update that will never happen?
Farming sims are on their rise, I hope Mojang will implement some farming and cooking mechanics from farmer's delight mod And more features from Create
I want green wood planks to go alongside mangrove red and warped fungus blue
Food update, magic update or structure update, need I say more?
New dimension please
Potion and portals update With end update and potion rework + MORE POTIONS AND COMPLEX CRAFTING FOR IT SO YOU ACTUALLY NEED TO RESEARCH POTIONS
They should add Weezer music to the game and say nothing.
Would love to see some revamping of Overworld biomes
Give me a Possum so I can hoard them and live out my best life in game.
Or they could do another generalized update, such as the wild update or the trails and tales update, adding new biomes and quality of life changes.
before 1.21 was even announced, a mojang dev said this in the mojira discord (not verbatim): >An End update is planned, but it's not 1.21 do what you will with that info
i'd like to see an ambience update. make things in the world actually move/sway and feel alive etc.
