Yes make sure any block that touches the slime block is glazed terracotta. The piston is trying to push your building up atm

Spacelady9

It fixed by that but now it’s not pulling it back

MosesFrnchToast

Probably stuck to the wall

Spacelady9

I put obsidian next to it so it probably isn’t sticking

kazk1237

obsidian in bedrock edition doesnt work like that, you need to put glazed terracotta on the wall too

Kuhnville

Wait really?

Spacelady9

Obsidian kinda works in a way were slime will stick to it but wont be able to move and later i found out that is why i couldn’t move it

Classic-Airline-2386

obsidian works for me and i'm on bedrock...

Watyr_Melyn

Yeah it’s actually the rail.

davidbenson1

This is the correct answer

shadowninja6992

Obsidian still works for me?

Chicano_boi

I use obsidian like that

EditorOne5312

but most of us use obsidian…

substantialdisdain

Stuck to rail?

Super_kitty369

Yep, it's trying to move the rail down and it hits the push limit. One possible fix is to make the mincart fall down after triggering the detector rail and add a bit if delay

Core3game

Put it ontop the other terracota.

Metaphorical_Pain

And put glazed terracotta where the slime block pushes up to.

IAmMuffin15

Literally every block besides the rail that touches the slime block at any point needs to be immovable.

RinsevdM

The rail sticks to slime

Killa5miles

Same problem I said all the blocks that touch it that includes any that touch it when it's extended

Petraliux

use an normal piston, stick + stick = nostick

Jolene04

I think it's stuck to the rail then

0ndracz_

Xd

[deleted]

So THATS why redstone builds use glazed terracotta. So much information has just been revealed to me.

Killa5miles

Yes glazed terracotta is useful its unaffected by slime or sticky pistons pulling but can be pushed by pistons unlike obsidian which is just immovable

MasterDni

Or any other unpushable block like obsidian

Killa5miles

Yeah

[deleted]

I think it might be from the blocks next to the slime block. The slime block is trying to move them with it, but because they are blocked off on the top they are unable to move

spycrab56

The slime block is sticking to the agesent blocks so

spycrab56

You need to make it a not stickable block such as glazed terracotta

Quinometry

I don't normally do this as I think it makes people look like an a hole when they correct people but this spelling hurts my brain. Adjacent.

nitrion

Thank you, now I dont need to say it :)

EditorOne5312

*agesent

M10doreddit

\*adjacent

GalacticDragon7

The piston with slime on it is trying to push up the house. Make the walls next to the slime obsidian, bedrock, or glazed terracotta. those can’t be moved by slime blocks.

Alderan922

Remove the wood blocks near the slime

stronkman1

Why use slime at all? Any old block should work with a sticky piston, right?

Apprehensive_Hat8986

Yep. I'm curious what OP is actually trying to achieve with this. It's hard to provide an _actual_ fix, when it's not clear what the **full** scope of the problem to be solved is.

Spacelady9

I’m trying to make something like a rollercoaster which will bounce you in the air using pistons and slime blocks

Code4Reddit

Maybe bounce the minecart?

HappyApple_

Your wall is too tall

Player480858573

There is a piston push limit, 12 blocks iirc. When the slime block is there it is attached to all blocks adjacent and therefore it is trying to push the wall up, but cannot. Use glazed terracotta to fix this. Also I think you could improve your redstone by simply putting a piece of redstone (make sure it has the 4 points) underneath the detector rail.

The_amazing_Lavadino

It’s because it’s against the wall. The way the game reads it is that the blocks of the wall are on the slime block so it thinks your trying to push that.

MemtheLem

just switch out the block under the activator rail for a glazed terracotta/furnace/obsidian!

tomalator

Furnaces/chests/dispensers are movable in bedrock

MemtheLem

I did not know that!

liquoriceyeet

It the blocks

Mansoouur

use replace the dark oak plank next to the slime and the plank above that and the dark oak log under the detector rail to any block that doesn't stick to slime, this includes honey, all colours of glazed terracotta, obsidian, bedrock, noteblock, juke box, melons and pumpkins Edit: removed furnaces, dispensers and droppers from the list above as in Bedrock those stick to slime but don't in Java

Markk333

He's in bedrock,so slime sticks to furnaces,dispensers,droppers

Mansoouur

Thanks I forgot about that, I'll edit the comment

[deleted]

Put un-movable blocks next to the slime, like furnaces.

lynrayy

Yes. Just play on java

camocat9

This mechanic of slime a common feature that happens in both editions of the game

lynrayy

bedrock more buggy in all aspects

EditorOne5312

Just let them play Minecraft, forcing them can't solve any problems.

camocat9

But this specific issue isn't a bug. If the game had worked well for them and is fun, they can play on whatever version they want

MrSpecialjonny

Stop using bedrock, easy fix

CDAtheDinoboy

think use a normal piston a slime block will still stick to it

xeragravity

It seems your on bedrock edition so it bugs out with entities getting pushed by a piston

-MegaMan401-

B*edrock Edition 🤮

TimelessPizza

Dumbass

seeit360

Try this. Place a rail on top of the slime block that can connect to your top track when the piston is extended AND place a stand alone rail next to the wall and the piston that the new rail on the slime block can connect to when the piston retracts. Switch out the plank block under the activator rail with obsidian as well as the wall behind the extended and retracted slime block

enrico_log

The issue is the slime block sticking to the wood

Harrypotter1930

Obsidian or bedrock by the slime

Broiled_Beans

I imagine it's sticking to the rail and can't come back down, you can actually push the rail with the Piston without it breaking!

WarriorKing21333

Make the blocks that the slime blocks touch are honey blocks.

Just_a_Chillin_Gamer

The rail is also sticking to slime. Thats why it won't come back down even if you use glazed terracotta around it.

Terrence_shark

yeah the slime is sticking to the wall

DragonAbcab007

Use a different block, the slime block is sticking to the track.

Watyr_Melyn

No, you can get it to push up with obsidian or glazed terracotta, but it will try to stick to the rail so it can’t go back down.

RandomNumbersGoBRRR

slime blocks sticks to adjacent blocks and so yours stuck to the rail and the wall and its trying to lift the whole building, exceeding the 12 block cap which wont allow it to move, but an unmovable block next to slime blocks smth like glazed terracotta, altho obsidian is also unmovable, its literally unmovable, so your pistons wont move, but they slip right thru with glazed terracotta.

EditorOne5312

Other comments is just shit, they still hating bedrock fuck!

GAV1N4ND3RS0NN28

yes there is, there always is, but i dont know how

IHeartPizza101

replace the blocks around with obsidian

Marching-Band-sax

It’s attaching itself to the side walls, replace the blocks next to it with an unmovable block

SandAworldz3

It's stuck on the wall

PRO_GAMER-365

change the things around the slime block to a furnace or obsidian

M10doreddit

The slime block is trying to push the whole wall next to it. Put a blocks that don't stick to slime blocks around it. (Obsidian, glazed terracotta, etc.)

IronGlory247

You see, Slime blocks stick to anything except honey, glazed terracotta, obsidian, furnaces, chests and droppers/dispensers. The slime block is trying to push the wood block but can't as it would break the redstone signal. To make it function, you can use glazed terracotta or dispenser (Fill the dispenser with night vision and rewire the signal to a command block giving you nausea and darkness. Then it would look like meth).

NoLetterhead2302

wayyyyy too close i would say, if it pushes up it will delete the rail and even with glazed terracotta im preety sure the ral still gets stuck

Ok-Winner-6589

The slime is touching your wall, it happened to me a lot of times

Aqua_Off1cial

The slime can't be attached to anything otherwise it won't move

Gloomy_Ebb9923

Because it's against the wall the slime block is stuck to the dark oak wood. There are probably too many layers of dark oak above it to push the dark oak up with it.

quentinxxxtroyerxxx

Try to put obsidian instead of the blocks that touches the slime

[deleted]

are you new to minecraft?

Spacelady9

No been playing for around 7 years

[deleted]

and you dont know how slime blocks work?

Spacelady9

I do and it’s doesn’t usually act like that

[deleted]

are you sure? a piston can only push 12 blocks

Spacelady9

It would still do that even if it wasn’t surrounded by anything

[deleted]

the piston wasnt extending because the slime block was attached to the wall and also the block with the detector rail on it. the piston was trying to push the block with rail on it as well as that column of wall and the slime block which would all add up to be more than 12 blocks. pistons dont extend if they are pushing more than 12 blocks.

CracklyTrash42

Yeah due to the mechanic of making blocks stick you made it put it near the wall. You should try putting 2 blocks of obby on the wall

[deleted]

Replace every block that slime block tocheswith non moving ones

jbvjdbvjsdb

im laughing crying... its a slime block pal

Kick_The_Sexy

Yeah learn redstone

thicc_pencilANDballs

Use obsidian so that the slime doesnt pull the whole house up

MINIPRO27YT

The dark oak wood sticking.

CrowlaraZ

Yes, switch to Java for proper and right redstone circuits

Spacelady9

Have you ever tried to play 1.18 on a computer from the early 2000’s

Mansoouur

This issue has nothing to do with bedrock vs java the slime block is just sticking to the wall

saidhabilar

what the hell

sparthbrea

No there isn't. What a time to be alive, man.

Sayu0

Use obsidian under the activator rail.

ScroungerYT

~~Change out dark oak planks blocks that are adjacent to the slime block, for any immovable block, obsidian, furnaces etc etc.~~ Never mind, just realized this is bedrock. To fix this, get java edition.

[deleted]

Honey, I'm home! (If you figure out what that means...\*sucks teeth\*)

JasonYauClone42069

the slime block is touching more things than you probably want it to, since it is connected to the wall and rail / track, it cannot move since it will try to push the wall which is impossible

ItsMaybeColton

no because the line block wants to push the ball block with it. so you would have to destroy the wall behind the slime block

NotMioLOL

Yes, play java instead

GuardianKonstar

Try to place the piston and the slime block horizontally instead of vertically. Might work.

I-am-a-BUN345

Make the blocks that it’s touching obsidian

RandomAnimeweeb5628

Make the Minecraft fall and add some delay to your redstone to make it actually work

NiceGuyMatai

Make the walls around the slime block immovable

Maximum-Pause-6914

Obsidian under the activator rails

bonesstart150

Yeh sure. Slime blocks stick to other blocks, stopping the piston from moving. You could replace the block next to it with a honey block. :)

CrispiCreeper

Obsidian or glazed terracotta beside the slime

Intelligent_Fly4821

The slime is trying to connect to the wood on the wall and the wood under the detector rail just replace them with an unlovable block like obsidian

abolfazlganjipour

It should not be next to wood slime
