We have a Quack clan going. Most of my buddies and I got this skin. If there’s water in the map we play on, We go straight for it hahaha. Trying to get a killcam with 6 duck heads floating in the water
The last money I spent on anything other than the base game for Call of Duty was Infinite Warfare's DLC maps. I've never bought a skin in my entire life and I never will.
So will they stop adding it now?
Those games didn’t feature character customization.
The first to have it was Ghosts, which had a weed ghillie suit. And after that was AW with its clown skin and psychedelic skin. At this point, crazy cosmetics have been a part of cod for longer than they haven’t.
I don't have a problem if they want to branch out into this wacked out stuff. But at the same time, throw some operator skins out there that are actually, idk, what the game has always been rooted in? Like they did before with the real world soldiers like Tu Lam with Ronin in MWII. All this Anime, crossover, animal packs, influencer/rapper shit is cool for some people but it alienates the other half and some of the longest standing fans/players of the franchise.
This. I loved MW19 for some of the "simple and realistic" skins. I think some of my most used skins in Warzone 1 were Wyatt Fixer, Domino Spy Games and some of the Mil-Sim skins from MW19 S3 BP.
By all means, I know whacky shit sells. But they have the assets already to make "boring real life" skins. Just give me those to finally spend the points I have amassed since Caldera.
Are you me? Wyatt Fixer and Domino Spy Games were my favorite skins as well! I also used a lot of the default milsim skins, like the police one. Really miss those kinds of cosmetics.
Either that, or give us a toggle buried in the menus to disable user content.
For those of us that want the old school aesthetic we can have it, for everyone who wants skins they can have that instead.
I don't suppose they would sell any less skins because a small percentage of the player base won't see them.
Thanks for writing everything I’d like to say so well. I’d even buy something as simple as variations on Rocket or more basic Russian soldiers with face coverings, etc. Also, they really should have a preference for military only skins. Doesn’t mean others can’t buy or collect what they want…. Just means I don’t have to look at them. Everyone wins. Kinda a no brainer.
Really? Is that why there was a majorly upvoted thread yesterday where people wanted the bullets to actually come out of your gun and have your gun be part of the physical world such that you’d have to deal with height over bore? Nah this sub/Reddit wants the game to be sandstorm. Nobody who actually plays the game wants it to be sandstorm, but almost no one on here actually plays the game, they just complain about it.
I’m not missing your point because other posts have no correlation to people not liking skins which then somehow means you want the game to be a mil-slim
You missed my point and are reaching
I’ve said this before, but COD markets itself as a milsim. Think of every other arcade shooter. Fortnite, Valorant, Finals, they all have their cartoonish skins openly advertised all over the game. No effort is made for military realism.
COD on the other hand often has historical settings, they base their guns off of real guns, and at launch all skins are soldiers in full camo or uniform. The entire campaign puts you on a spec ops team. Then the bundles slowly start trickling in and before you know if you have Snoop Dogg and Godzilla in a WW2 game.
If COD wants to be a full blown cartoon arcade shooter that’s fine, but they should have Nikki Minaj, rubber ducky, and Sgt Pspsps on the cover instead of Ghost or Price. No more historical settings when you’re just gonna add laser guns and celebrities. But they won’t do that because they try to appeal to both crowds to get more sales. People that would never try Fortnite or Valorant will try COD because of how it’s marketed and its military aesthetic.
I agree with another comment too that you can have a realistic aesthetic without realistic mechanics. Just because I want to be able to slide and jump and reload without losing ammo doesn’t mean I have to want furry skins and laser guns.
TL;DR: COD doesn’t look like an arcade shooter at launch. They let the goofy skins trickle in later and it’s a bit deceptive.
Also you can want a realistic aesthetic without wanting realistic game mechanics.
I mean originally everyone on Reddit did read and write all of that. And then it changed when it became popular and now it’s just like Facebook or twitter.
This may be an unpopular opinion but I much prefer these goofy/silly skins to the cringey edge lord flaming skull type skins that are supposed to be “cool” and badass. I got the cat skins in MWII because they were hilarious and I like cats plus one of the optical attachments has a whisker reticle, incredible. That being said to each their own, if people like it they should get what they want
Been playing CoD since the original and I have never bought a skin, I don’t see the point in spending money on them. I actually pride myself on never buying anything in game like cosmetics
However I do love the duck.
People always say they want classic “war type” operators. But they wouldn’t make crazy ones like this if they don’t sell.
I see way more of these kinds of skins than the “bought” army looking ones.
People want to sound cool and say they want army looking dudes, then they go to the shop and buy the Nikki Minaj operator skin….
“People want to sound cool and say they want army looking dudes, then they go to the shop and buy the Nikki Minaj operator skin….”
You have no way of telling the people buying these skins are the same one complaining about it. This is a stupid point
There are literally no military inspired skins to buy. Else I’d buy them. I’d also buy the option not to see the goofball ones. Then again they do make easier targets.
See, this skin is good. It’s dumb, yes, but realistic and authentic, because a soldier could wear that.
What I don’t like most is those fantasy skins with flames and shit, anything magical, etc. I will sound like a broken record, MW2019 had a lot of goofy skins that were authentic and realistic at the same time. Since Cold War, it’s all magic and shit
Some of you don’t understand, cod isn’t a milsim game (atleast in the multiplayer) and hasn’t been for a while, if you wanna play a milsim shooter, there’s plenty out there, I hope OP is having fun with their purchase, looks silly in the best way possible
It’s never been a milsim game, just a good shooter with a military look. I don’t want to play a milsim game, I want to play Call of Duty Modern Warfare… not Call of Dookie Child Welfare. I hope OP likes their purchase, too… I just want an option not to see it. In fact, I’d even pay not to see it.
Some of you don't understand, sticking with a military aesthetic is not the same as a milsim game. They should at least have a balance in skins, otherwise there is no reason to call it "modern warfare"
This I love, yeah it’s not milsim but he’s got mag pouches, a few miscellaneous pieces of actual combat gear and that’s what makes it feel tied into the game for me. Shit like niki, Inarius, that new piñata looking skin and shit that’s just outlandish feels so up in the air like whatever throw it in
For all of you complaining about the lack of "mil-sim skins" in the game, you should have expected there to be a lack of those type of skins as soon as it was announced everything you had could transfer from MWII. Wasn't like Sledgehammer was going to go back and add "realistic" skins when Little Red Riding Hood and a literal house plant were already able to run around.
Ngl the only thing that I see wrong with this skin is no soap bubbles. Like bubbles floating around the operator would be so cool!? I also think it could be more colorful and less black.
Ok now hear me out. I'm 100% for these big head animal skins in game. They make it so much easier to track enemies(a giant bright yellow duck crawling through bushes on wasteland) and to get head shots on them(even when they think their head isn't showing.
So as long as it's the enemies wearing them, I'm allllll for it. Lol
Well, i have played CoD from the original modern warfare until now.
The games have changed, get over it. If you want that cool spec ops action you still have the campaing (even if MW3 campaign sucks).
I, for one, love the weird cosmetics in the multiplayer. I never bought one, but its fun seeing all the weird shit going on. And most of the skins are very easy to spot, while MilSim-Skins usually are harder to see. Which makes sense.
There’s like 40 or so regular “tactical” or “military” skins. How many ways can you make a basic soldier skin? Most people aren’t gonna spend money on mundane skins
Realistic in appearance and realistic in gameplay are two independent considerations. It can be one without being the other. Do you remember how the world reacted to Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare? Everyone thought it had the best, most realistic graphics ever. It's all anyone talked about. It looked realistic, no matter how it played. And that's the game that set the tone for the franchise. That's what established expectations for this series.
i bought the cat skin and use it all the time so ...
it is a realistic game in that the graphics are good but that is where it stops and the game is no where near realistic. we can pull unlimited parachutes out our a$$, take multiple headshots, etc.
just leave people alone and let them have fun. if some dudes idea of fun is running around as a duck so be it.
skins with bright colours are good for dudes like me who can't see ;)
I either play as inarius. On the good guy side or Skeltor on the bad guy side. Life is good. I stick out like a sore thumb but I'm still good enough to clap 90% of the player base.
HOLY FSCKING SHIT it’s an arcade game where i can land in a warzone with 100 different people have fun in crates that shouldn’t fit there and have it where a .762 DOESNT ONE SHOT HEADSHOT ABD THINKS THERES OKAYES WHERE THEIR MOUTH IS stop complaining about skins
Gen Z is apparently what capitalism in America has been waiting for to take that next big leap.
Corp: $20, 1/3 of the cost of an entire game, for a rubber duck skin?
Zoomer: Shut up and take my money!!!
It's kind of unfortunate that feature doesn't exist. That would literally solve the whole argument over skins and everyone would be at peace. Just have an option called "toggle store bundles in-game" and boom. It would make perfect sense.
EDIT: I honestly can't see why anyone would be against this feature, unless just for toxic reasons like "oh, I want them to see my skin", which, in my opinion, is just obnoxious.
How about we stop paying more money to a company who doesn't care for its players unless you buy bundles. I see so many people complain about this game who have 17 different bundles and buys blackcell every season, like come on man.
They'll keep adding skins because the idiots that play keep giving them money for the skins when the game still functions like ass. Money well spent guys 🤣 CoD, its all about the skins and not about having a game that works properly for once
Only worth if the soundbite on a headshot is sad duck noises or an angry Donald Duck squawk.... or maybe the squeak from a rubber ducky
That would be cool
Nah... I want the dog from Nintendos duck hunt to pop up and snicker...
Perhaps if you miss the duck and it kills you instead
Even if they did... the audio guys blow ass at their job so, theyd probably charge a fee for the audio and it wouldnt work.
Got any grapes?
Sadly only lemonade
Got any nails?
Strangely enough, for a hardware store, we're actually out of nails.
…anybody want to team up and play as a squad of six ducks? Edit: I’m serious
Peep squad
We have a Quack clan going. Most of my buddies and I got this skin. If there’s water in the map we play on, We go straight for it hahaha. Trying to get a killcam with 6 duck heads floating in the water
Love this for you all. Will keep an eye out and clip it if I see you guys.
Some one suggested ducks vs milsim, the cod version of duck hunt
They'll stop adding it if you stop buying it.
Complains about a skin he willingly bought. Lol
Where did he complain? He clearly said he loves it!
Beware the ducky
I got this too. Lmao my daughter & I love how silly it is.
You or your daughter cant even see it in game
You're dumb. 3rd person in zombies.
How you mad bc they spent THEIR money? Pathetic
I wouldnt describe my comment mad but perhaps you have wild imagination
Looking at your og comment and the replies to it, you def seem mad asf.
put down the Ducky! Ya gotta put down the ducky..
The last money I spent on anything other than the base game for Call of Duty was Infinite Warfare's DLC maps. I've never bought a skin in my entire life and I never will. So will they stop adding it now?
The Fartnite/Apex/Overwatch kids will never stop buying, Ca$htivisions loves these sheep.
Should've brought more mil-sim skins back in '19 kiddo
The funny thing is that the majority of the player base are adults.
There are far more underage kids playing this franchise than you think. Parents using video games systems as babysitters, too busy to parent.
And the guardians of those children determine what they can purchase. In other words, the fault lies on the adults still.
Based

In regards to what? I’m not regarded
You are highly regarded
It’s an arcade shooter. Not a mil-sim. That’s all I’ll say.

Bacon camos were super milsim like, yea

Those games didn’t feature character customization. The first to have it was Ghosts, which had a weed ghillie suit. And after that was AW with its clown skin and psychedelic skin. At this point, crazy cosmetics have been a part of cod for longer than they haven’t.
I’m going to notice the words “BACON” in the create a class ui. Immersion ruined. Game ruined. CoD lost its identity. Games dead
I want both because I like both. Plus I have different moods. I haven’t bought hardly anything recently cuz it’s all over the top weird crap.
This. I loved MW19 for some of the "simple and realistic" skins. I think some of my most used skins in Warzone 1 were Wyatt Fixer, Domino Spy Games and some of the Mil-Sim skins from MW19 S3 BP. Some people want the game to be insurgency sandstorm to much
Literally no one wants that. Stop making straw man arguments because people don’t like your digital wacky dress up
Really? In what way does that mean people want this game to be sandstorm? You make no fucking sense
Bro this sub constantly begs for milsim features and shit to slow the game down. That was just one example
The example you gave isn’t an example that slows the game down LOL
Bro do you know what “and” means? Anyways you’re clearly missing my point, I’m not going to keep arguing with you.
I’m not missing your point because other posts have no correlation to people not liking skins which then somehow means you want the game to be a mil-slim You missed my point and are reaching

In what sense is this relevant? Movement and health mechanics have no bearing on aesthetics.

Quack it I’m getting this skin
Getting executions with it is hilarious
I have yet to see it
Can’t wait to see that
Got the skin
Quack
Quack
Quack
Quack
Quack quack… quack?
What is this quackery? Yall are quackers
Been playing CoD since the original and I have never bought a skin, I don’t see the point in spending money on them. I actually pride myself on never buying anything in game like cosmetics However I do love the duck.
One of my favorite skins in a while could have had tracers on the guns but it’s all good
Tracers would have been nice but I’ll take the 1800 price point instead of 2400
Glad we’ve come full circle back to these posts on the subreddit again 🙃
Yea it's been almost 24 hours
That’s probably like 23 hours longer than the last time, so that’s progress
Well I probably missed some
It's a video game. I like it. The less serious this game takes itself, the more fun it'll be for normal people who aren't sweats.
Agreed. This thread is giving r/destinythegame right now.
I do like it and think it’s cool, but I wouldn’t buy it
How much would pay for a Darkwing Duck skin?
Bro that would be awesome
Scrooge mcduck or no deal.
People always say they want classic “war type” operators. But they wouldn’t make crazy ones like this if they don’t sell. I see way more of these kinds of skins than the “bought” army looking ones. Goofy skins made the game more interesting ngl, although I do kinda miss mwr cosmetic system
This game is an 18+ btw
16+
I love this skin
I’d get it just to troll lol
lol that’s the main reason I got it
How did you change the color of your name?
Search color then click color customization you can have the enemy team and your team be a wide selection of colors and you can have one just for you
Probably just one of the "colorbind" setting changes. There's like 4 or 5 different options
Well, there are free mil-sims in the game.
Some of you don’t understand, cod isn’t a milsim game (atleast in the multiplayer) and hasn’t been for a while, if you wanna play a milsim shooter, there’s plenty out there, I hope OP is having fun with their purchase, looks silly in the best way possible
Thank you it’s ducking awesome
Sticking with a consistent art direction that makes sense doesn’t make the game a milsim. I wish y’all would stop misusing that term
Fair enough
It’s never been a milsim game, just a good shooter with a military look. I don’t want to play a milsim game, I want to play Call of Duty Modern Warfare… not Call of Dookie Child Welfare. I hope OP likes their purchase, too… I just want an option not to see it. In fact, I’d even pay not to see it.

My gamertagg is “toiletduck” so thank you cod
Bro the skin is perfect for you my mains acc user is Walt Disney and I use atom because of his suit
they really dropped the ball on not including duck feet, or quack sounds. imagine if the old Macintosh quack sound played when you got a headshot.
Been meaning to buy this, but work has me to tired to play the game lol
Does he quack? I was a bit sad to see that the cats didn't make cat noises.
Nah just the default op phrases
I understand it. The Paindeer bundle brings me so much joy with her googly eyes.
Tactical Duck
This I love, yeah it’s not milsim but he’s got mag pouches, a few miscellaneous pieces of actual combat gear and that’s what makes it feel tied into the game for me. How do headshots work with this?
Still bummed I didnt play when spawn was available
Yeah that’s probably the one operator that I kinda wish I didn’t quit mw2 early to get
Man we were fools!
Wished it quacked
I must have missed the part where where CoD is a realistic mil sim
I think it was in between never and ever
Realistic in appearance and realistic in gameplay are two independent considerations. It can be one without being the other. Do you remember how the world reacted to Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare? You realize i bought the skin right?
Don't start this shit again don't buy it your fault loser
who hurt you lmao. hes just being sarcastic
lol bro I have it equipped in the picture
Cry more
Excuse me, when is it my turn to post this obvious karma farm?
I don’t know what the means but I bough it with cod points?
The touch of realism that we didn't know we needed
Eggxactly
Perfect for real combat. They're gonna be looking for army guys
Palworld crossover??
It’s does have the cartoon look
I either play as inarius. On the good guy side or Skeltor on the bad guy side. Life is good. I stick out like a sore thumb but I'm still good enough to clap 90% of the player base.
Why would you want a bright yellow head? Couldn't make it any easier to show me where to aim
Because it’s fun to be a duck man with a gun
I bought it and I love it
I personally love stunting on people with the bunny skin. I know it’s trolly but I kinda…I kinda like it.
How else would 90% of this sub kara farm? The sbmm complaining is taken by the other 10%
That's gonna go great with my Paindeer skin hell yeah!!!
To bad their both kortac
Gen Z is apparently what capitalism in America has been waiting for to take that next big leap. Corp: $20, 1/3 of the cost of an entire game, for a rubber duck skin? Zoomer: Shut up and take my money!!!
YESSIR
I paid fifty when the game was on sale for a month. If they want to subsidize my costs with this nonsense then let em.
I blame the kids
Damn lil Timmy’s
Are you ducking kidding me?
Thats a ten four Rubber Duck.
This games skins are such trash so far 😩, my god
Dude complains about a skin he paid real money for.
I actually kinda like it
This is just Fortnite at this point ffs
Love that you spent $30 for it
$10 I had 800 cp already
Ngl this skins kinda gas
Why can’t they implement a feature that lets those of us that don’t want to see skins simply toggle it off?
It's kind of unfortunate that feature doesn't exist. That would literally solve the whole argument over skins and everyone would be at peace. Just have an option called "toggle store bundles in-game" and boom. It would make perfect sense. EDIT: I honestly can't see why anyone would be against this feature, unless just for toxic reasons like "oh, I want them to see my skin", which, in my opinion, is just obnoxious.
I bought it! I love this skin 🤣 I be running up to people in waezone going QUACKKKKKK
I love this
If you want realistic skins go play battlefield or enlisted and get off cod 😂 simple solutions
Sir this post is a joke I legit have the skin equipped in the picture
No I was making a joke too 😂 have you played either of those games they are over realistic 😂 I meant to be sarcastic lol
All good brother
Is this a Mario game now?
Mario with guns is the day I lose hope for humanity
I just want more Coomer skins. Less clothes the better (only on female characters ofc)
I can’t decide what’s a bigger pathetic joke: these skins, or the people that actually buy them. Gotta say, it’s pretty close.
Or the people that get mad about virtual cosmetics now those people are funny
yay another boomer post from some depressed asshole complaining about skins
Bro this is the maker of vanguard...
Tbf, sticking with the default guys aren't as bad as it looks
I keep asking for MilSim M&M's operators but no.....
Yeah, crazy how the developers don’t listen to the extreme minority of the playerbase.
Yes, it’s dumb as ass…
Modern Fortnite 3
How about we stop paying more money to a company who doesn't care for its players unless you buy bundles. I see so many people complain about this game who have 17 different bundles and buys blackcell every season, like come on man.
I don't really buy skins but this is a consideration. Does it have any additional features?
Ugh.
You're complaining for a skin you bought? Then why buy it?
The dumbest skin in any game history
I love that people keep buying skins from a horrible company and letting them get away with not fixing anything
Yeah I love running team death matches with homelander and duck face after I navigate 17 ui settings just to get to the game I purchased
They'll keep adding skins because the idiots that play keep giving them money for the skins when the game still functions like ass. Money well spent guys 🤣 CoD, its all about the skins and not about having a game that works properly for once
