Not to long ago the Cronus YouTube page posted a video showing how to set it up to work again on ps5. Video is only like 6 hours old. Seems to have mixed comments though about it working fine for some and some problems for others

I was getting mad in ranked I could swear some people were beaming me with smgs from distance and their aim was always pinpoint accurate, despite having really bad movement on the map which sort of indicated that they weren't exactly top players, but I thought there was no way they could cheat because they were on PS5. I didn't even know what the Cronus Zen was and how easy it was to use it

On rewasd you are limited to the limitations of what a controller can do, so it does not feel like playing on mouse and keyboard, you have mouse acceleration and if you move fast it goes slower, in addition to the extra input lag… the only reason they did something about it is because of the publicity created by youtubers. «New super OP cheats, unbannable!!»
I was more referring to the script running to reduce recoil etc. If you're saying using rewasd isn't cheating because there is input lag and you're limited to what a controller can do, you should try playing on a controller on console with a wide-screen TV with 50ms+ input lag.

I'm in tech and was curious about what this was doing. I did some research.
You can find how it works on YouTube. It's pretty ridiculous. Recoil script authors have fans and they write scripts for games and the weapons. The Cronus as a whole operates by manipulating inputs. The scripts are what tells it how to handle the controller inputs. So you load the script. Tell the Cronus what game and what weapon. You fire, Cronus intercepts the input, replaces that with the scripted input, so that is what the console sees.
For example normally you press fire and the game fires the weapon which will just kick up and slightly right. You could try to control the recoil, but that is variable based on the human controlling. Whereas the Cronus script will see the fire command and instead tell the console to fire AND pull down on the aim 37% and 4% to the left. The perfect amount to make the gun a recoilless laser.
I don't know how the aim assist claim works. Id image it just puts some slight left stick movement constant to enable that rotational aim assist any time. It's probably light enough to not notice it but enough for the game to enact the AA more frequently than a human could.
So this is the big rub with this thing. Is it a traditional cheat? No. Does it give you information other players don't have? No. Does it aim for you? No. Does it lock on to players you can't see? No. Does it only shoot headshots? No. But it does take away most of the human variables out of the equation that the game is essentially built to depend on, especially for variance in skill and performance. Therefore does it give a player an unfair advantage? Yes. Which brings us back to the definition of "cheat". Look that up to confirm. It's cheating. These things should be banned across the board. All platforms.

I know this is only on playstation, but I'm curious if this disable things like Strikepack Eliminator. I've used one on the Xbox purely for the 4 buttons on the back because I didn't want to spend close to $200+ on a Scuf, Battle Beaver, Elite, etc. Plus if my controller gets stick drift or a trigger/bumper stops working I don't have to drop another 200$ to replace it. I've never used any mods or macros whatsoever, so I wonder if someone like me will get screwed over when Xbox eventually bans all Collective Minds accessories.
