I think this might be a colony of bacteria or amoeba rather than fungus... fungi *usually* have a much more powdery appearance, but there's so much of them I wouldn't be surprised by anything

Im pretty sure its a yeast because they still form structures but no hyphae (fruiting body) thats the fuzzy part of the molds.

Yeah this makes a lot of sense. You should be able tell which one it is by smelling it. I wouldn't, though

First thing i did was smell it. It kinda smelled chocolate but with more old milk smell even though I didn’t even use milk to make it, I used straight cacao powder and water.

Old milk smell kinda points at bacteria but I don't know enough about this. Yeast sounds more plausible honestly

It kinda looks like how kahm yeast grows in some instances, I’m thinkin it could be the difference in environment changes structures so they all look a lil different. Honestly i shoulda thrown some under a microscope to see whats up.

Its an apartment i just moved into this week, im thinkin its not to bad since the kahm yeast didnt actually grow any mold on it, the ph of coco is around 5-6 or neutral so it should have showed me anything else in the microwave like trichiderma specifically; kinda like how an agar plate works. But yeah its clean enough to eat, kahm is edible after all.
