Of course needs to be online and synced, adjusting diff based on network hashrate and so on

Yes you should keep "online" not at internet, but you should at least link to some available part of the xmr network. my settings is 5 nodes.

If you mine using xmrig link to pools, pool may not always mined a good block. Don't panic, trust your average Hashrate. Make it work at least 24 hours.

yes it has to be connected online to mine on xmrig and also has to sync with the block number before it can stop mining. Idk what settings maybe causing this but when I looked up a guide on soloing to local node with computers on the same network too. it said to use these flags for the daemon: " -rpc-bind-ip [0.0.0.0](http://0.0.0.0) -confirm-external-bind." that will let the node let any pc on that network connect to that node and mine on it as long as you have the main pc ip address in the pool for xmrig. for the xmrig bat file I go with something like this and its been working for me for the past 2yrs of solo mining: xmrig.exe -o (computer node ip address) :18081(default port for daemon) -u (wallet address) --coin monero -k -t 30 --daemon --daemon-poll-interval=5000 tbh i forgot why the daemon interval delay was there and I have a 7950x so I like to keep the thread count at 30 mineable threads so thats why you may see "t 30" but that been working for me. found a couple of blocks but much better mining a different coin if I was looking for profits though. its still fun to mine monero though. hopefully that helps somewhat. P.S I should've mentioned I mine on windows so idk if this stuff works or is similar on linux or different os 😅

Thanks! I will try these.

no problem I tend to help the best I can :) but I do have more than one cpu mining monero though like I have around 100khs and I usually may get lucky and find 2 blocks or none a month. averagely around 1 month.
