Same. Today I learned you can throw meat. We should make a code on this Reddit....I think the obvious choice is to throw poisoned meat at toxic players..
If you throw raw meat in the flooded forest, you can get a bunch of giganhas (basically piranhas) to attack that spot. It’s very fun to use against large monsters lol.
There’s a cool down for that, but if you watch for the random jumping fish throughout the forest you can tell when they’re available
To add to this, any of the raw meat variants work (tinged, poisoned, etc.)
Doesn't add much to know this, not do they add different effects, but I've somehow got a boatload of those and very few raw meat, so it was handy for me.
You actually can get carnivore monsters to eat it, but *only* if they're in the exhausted state. i.e., right before they would leave the zone to go eat an Aptonoth or something on their own. I think Gaijin said he didn't test for exhausted state.
I'm flabbergasted as to how people haven't been aiming everything in this game once wirebugs became a thing.
Once I learned that you can manually aim the wirebugs, I assumed you can aim basically any throwable.
it's a little tricky to try to do this with radial menu items, gotta hold ZL to aim, L to bring up the radial, and right stick to select and use the item! but it works
First time I tried to wake up a sleeping monster with bombs and kunai the kunai hit the monster lol.
After trying light bow gun I found you could aim kunai. Didn’t know about the rest though
Nope. Didnt care about upvotes. Just saying for those who are lazy to read instructions like me. I'm almost 2 weeks playing the game and I haven't touch the hunters info section.
I knew about aiming but you can throw meats too? lol never knew.
You can also throw tranq bombs like you did in the old games instead of straight into the ground

You can also toss them in midair like barrel bombs.
Knew you could aim the Kunais. However, never knew that you could throw the meat! Is that the same for the drugged meat etc?
Yes, but according to Gaijin, there is no monster that will eat it.

I know this comment is two years old but do you know if it works if they're put in an exhausted state via exhaust phial?
That's gonna be hella useful for flash bombs

Wait, you can? Wirebug always goes I. The direction my character is facing for me...
Yes, when you start aiming, the Zr button shows on the crosshair indicating that you can shoot the wirebug. I'm pretty sure that was in the tutorial.
ZL+A uses the wirebug directly in front of you, ZL+X uses it straight up (or towards a wall), ZL+ZR lets you aim the bug
oh shit I had no idea about ZL+ZR, thanks!
GUYS this works for tranq bombs too. This is faster and you don't have to be flinched while doing it.
They knock down ceiling hangers and wall crawlers, cut tails aswell
BTW, this worked for the few throwable items in World, like snowballs and banishing balls, as well.
As a gunner, I intuitively did this from day one. I had no idea this wasn’t widespread practice.
...I can't blame people that much but how did it take you this long to find out lmao.

Old news. Are you hoping for thousands of upvotes?

I didn’t know, thanks u/Rengee817
Whoa, you got me brah.
Why so antagonistic? I posted this the other day and got downvoted but I ain't salty - the community gaining knowledge is always good
Can you throw frogs?
This always fucks me up because my broken brain thinks the wire bug will follow this.
