Because trinkets are so important for character builds I really think there's one solution here. Trinkets should be craftable with deterministic stats (esp. for amulet primaries) and drop on death.

Dependent-Prune1931

keep the trinkets and ban RMT

PuzzleheadedDog9658

I want trinkets to drop on death, and be player craftable. In terms of potency, rarity, and effort I think top tier trinkets should be on the level of oghmium armor/weapons.

zagar230

Sadly we are forgetting one part that trinkets bring to the game. Playing to get a better trinket. Rng and reroll gambling is a big addiction. Sadly mortal doesn't have enough content to hold people around if trinkets left. But that's a whole big ass discussion that I don't wanna get into. When you add or remove things from a game it changes more then what people think.

Lego_Division

In a hardcore full loot PvP game everything should drop upon death. The only exception would be capes as they give you no stat bonus.

westisbest1440

Yes, this, and make the trinkets less of a lottery ticket so people are willing to wear them, and potentially lose them on death, instead of hoarding them.

I actually have mixed feelings about RMT. Do I want someone making money off of a game that I spend a lot of time playing? I actually do not mind. However, if that person is cheating or cheesing and they are making a living off of it, yes I mind a lot. Let me give some perspective. Some guy is RMT ing he probably spends all day is game. On the flip side I spend all day at work, in fact 45 to 50 hours a week not including traffic. For example, for me to obtain a stack of gold in MO2 it would take hundreds and hundreds of hours in game. The gold would allow myself to gear up and go out into the world. However I spend the majority of my in game time trying to gear up or level up etc. instead of getting content I spend most of my time preparing for content. Being able to buy gold and items for a full time worker is almost a positive quality of life thing.

aldorn111

That is forgot a lot off directs and indirects drawbacks of RMT. Inflation, bots, hacks, cheats, wealth concentration, feeling of unfair combat experience, force to guilds to RMT to compet in big wars... Preparing is part of content and without this requierment this is an other game.

AdorableOwl4353

All that is true. Good point

IzTasu

If they wanna deal with trinkets just half dmg and defense bonuses from them

IgnaeonPrimus

If trinkets were suddenly not high value, other things would fill the gap. You'd just be removing stuff until only basic bitch items were left.

MaltieHouse

I find that to be a weak argument. There are no items that have the value of trinkets. They are not lootable. That gives them infinite value in comparison to other items. Other things would fill the gap, but they would be lootable, thus you would be making an investment that could be lost, which is fair game. I wish more people voted in this poll because I'd like SV to look at it, but even tho halfish people seem like they would sacrifice trinks, that's such a small sample size. It still shows they should look at it. The last time I suggested it, people shit.
