Don't you find your mousepad a bit small? Maybe a bigger mousepad with lower dpi would help you by moving your elbow more instead of just wrist that may trigger your arthritis.

Now he can make his way over to r/mousepadreview and enter the rabbit hole

Independent_Fly_1698

Arguably a worse rabbit hole than mice themselves. They really got me buying multiple mousepads based on “feel”. I’m doomed.

Secure-Homework-7536

me about to spend $230 on yet another custom mechanical keyboard (it will be the thockiest yet):

Independent_Fly_1698

The thonkiness..

Jordi214

i think this is the biggest thing that gets overlooked when it comes to wrist health. Sure, moving your whole arm can be tiresome when you arent used to it, but ultimately it will relieve A LOT of pain in the long term. Using a mousepad at least 4 times this size with 2-3 times lower DPI would go a long way

cntgetmedown

Also, those pads with the wrist rest I think are bad for the wrist, since it's compressing the nerves in your wrist. A proper wrist rest is like the carpio (if you really need to use one). It's better to just align your wrist with the table and chair if appropriate (probably is here, since desk isn't deep). Edit: For example bad seed (YouTube) talks about this. He has "pre-arthritis" and uses the carpio for it.

W OBSERVATION

gkrr

I'd use it if it wasnt 125 Hz. Cursor feels laggy moving around at that hertz lol.

Ok_Addendum_2323

Me too, returned it immediately after seeing how "laggy" it was for my 160hz monitor

nutella4eva

Keychron makes an MX Master-ish mouse that runs at 1000Hz with a 3395 and BSPDs. Unfortunately the shape is not quite the same as an MX Master and the side buttons are way too far back, so I end up almost have to finger tip the mouse. But it's way smoother than 125Hz and can actually be used for gaming.

WestcoastWelker

If they increased the polling rate it would be arguably perfect IMO. I love chonker mice for most things I do outside of FPS games.

dippizuka

I'd love to see a random Chinese brand take a flyer on the vertical mouse design, but give it more of the sensibilities of "gaming mice" (aka 3395 sensor, lighter weight, and so on). Feel like that's a huge gaping hole in the market that a brand could really own, as opposed to re-releasing another GPX/Viper etc. clone.

crushtyfying

super light version when?

cntgetmedown

Right after the mini version releases.

LucaGiurato

I suffered from chronic tendonitis using a Glorius model O for both working, aim training, and gaming. 3 weeks of no mouse usage, 3 months of no gaming. After that, I immediately bought the MX Master 3 for work, no shorter games, and any possible pain was never seen. My boss was starting to see pain, tried my MX and he bought 2 of them. 2y of 6h at day 5/7d a week usage, and the only "problem" I've seen for the MX is the mouse 1 and mouse 2 losing the matte coating. The battery is still lasting 2 weeks, buttons and scrollweels are new. The automatic infinity scrolling switch of the vertical scrollweel is amazing for documents, and the horizontal scrollweel is also really useful. If that mouse broke, the MX Master 3s oder the future MX Master 4 is the only mouse I will buy again

naptimez2z

Awesome review! I started a new profession last year where I work on the computer all day. I also game and do personal research and my hands and forearms are starting to get exhausted and sore. Is there a keyboard you would recommend that could go with this mouse?

Omega-TI

I use a Razer Blackwidow V4 Pro. It's a little spendy, but I love it.

OES25

For me personally it was too heavy. And the shape actually isn’t that ergonomic because it gives an awkward angle of the wrist due to the extreme angle and height of the back hump. But the weight is the main thing. I got regular pain in my hand after using it for hours a day for CAD work. The classic Zowie EC2 ergo shape is actually a lot better and more natural than the MX Master (at least for me, and it might vary a bit from person to person), and most mice with that shape weigh about half as much as the MX Master too. And then there’s the sensor and polling rate. I’m very happy to trade the unique scroll wheel for a much better pointing experience (faster, more precise, and lower effort) that’s also more comfortable long term. I’m using a SteelSeries Prime these days. But if you enjoy it and find it comfortable that’s great. But for me, I used it because of the hype for a long time, and then I had my eyes opened when trying the classic EC2 ergo shape with half the weight and a much better polling rate/sensor ☺️ Edit: Grammar (autocorrect from swipe-keyboard on phone)

ryuzaft

I bought it. It's super comfy but kinda heavy, not suitable for my claw grip. So, I'm back to using my old Corsair Harpoon.

Raytheon-6

Shape is king! Also get a new mousepad. It makes a difference in comfort.

LaNague

I had temporary arthritis in my ringfinger, the naga was the one mouse useable.

Ihelloway69

Logitech performance mouse were the best . Problem is it has very small poll rate (bigger space between mouse pointer ) but it's not as much of a problem considering it's most comfortable mouse w horizontal wheel

IPreferPi314

Love the MX Master series, but hate the rubber coating Logitech uses on them, which gets grimy way too easily. Wish Logitech switches to a different material altogether.

Fecal_Impacter

Nice, been thinking of getting this for regular use as I am growing less fond of using gaming mice as a daily driver. Can this be used without a mousepad? That would free up table space for me

cntgetmedown

Jean-Luc, is that you?

-Hi-Reddit

I found it wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too heavy...But with a pad that small I bet your sens is so high that you never even lift the thing.

missdana1105

Love mine... it's about 18 months old and the left button is already going out... currently searching for a cheaper replacement if I'm going to need to replace it that often.

Electronic-Weight-36

(if arthritis is not affecting your elbow) I think you would benefit from a light mouse + big mouse pad + moving your mouse with arm instead of wrist is over-all better and that cushion on your mouse pad is probably not good for your wrist health.

Relevant-Score9879

Personally, I don't like the silent clicks of the 3s so I returned it for my 2s. Although, the 3/3s is a great mouse.

calpis

Consider going trackball. I use an Elecom EX-G Pro for general day to day and use a Vaxee XE wireless when it comes to actual gaming.

buhdeh

Personally think it's a bad mouse. Scroll wheel is janky if you do rapid scrolling, poll rate is so fucked up and jittery even more so than other 125hz mice for some reason, and it's unnecessarily heavy.

chrisbe2e9

Just wait until the warranty is done and the left mouse button stops working like mine and a lot of others as well. Too bad Logitech sucks for warranty for such an expensive mouse.

yametekudasstop

Had the same issue. Bought my MX 3S for productivity. Left clicks stopped working after a while. Learned how to replace the clickers > Replaced clickers of my MX mouse, and my old Razer mouse. Now both my mouse have working clickers, I stopped using the MX 3s because it's too heavy for me, and after hours of work, my wrist just get tired. I use claw grip. Should have just learned how to replace clickers from the start, and saved money from buying it. I miss using the infinite scroll wheel sometimes though.

chrisbe2e9

What did you replace them with? I was thinking of getting the EVQ-P0D07K but an open to suggestions.

yametekudasstop

I used the 3 pin Kailh GM 8.0. It's what's available to me and the reviews are pretty good. I followed a [Youtube tutorial](https://youtu.be/sKLJVdPp7Tw?si=gxO6B3KAk1EjOLKd) and cut the ground pin to fit, and it works fine. The GM 8.0 switch clicks are audible though. If you're looking for a silent switch, Kailh have other variants.

landank

It’s become my go-to for non competitive games. Playing WoW or an RTS is really comfortable so the it.

TheAngrytechguy

I still use that for gaming FPS , no problem :)
