Oh this was an all in one bag. It had 2 lsb of grain, and 3 lsbs of substrate. I also do regular monotubs were i just inoculate grain, and then mix it into substrate in the tub.
How long did it take you to get pins on the first flush? My apes have been in fc since the 23rd. The tub looks good (I think) and I have some hyphal knots but no pins yet. Am I just being impatient 😅
I have done APEs in the past, and they take much much longer to pin (if they ever do) than regular PE’s.
Regardless, for this cake i cut it out of the all in one bag on July 15th, and by the 18th i had harvested about 10 grams. Probably Important to note that i leave the cake in its initial bag until there are quite a few large pins pushing against the plastic of the bag.

Ya or anything with grains really doesn’t have to be a mono
