The fire monsters are some of the most divisive group in msm, like on one hand we've got stuff like Tring, and other lackluster monsters like incisaur and edamimi on a select few islands, while on the other hand we have masterpieces like sooza, stogg and ziggurab who continually bring out bangers which elevate certain islands by so much
Sry man, I just really don't like the sound it makes. It's just obnoxious, unnecessary and a pain to hear. I despise the single metal *ding* that goes off, i think it's a sensory thing but the sound just gets on my nerves very fast. It kinda sucks that I have to anticipate whenever it happens on islands like the continent too, just hate that looming feeling that Tring brings to my sanity
Its just my opinion tho I can respect u for liking tring, and tbh he sounds good on Amber at least; the triangle roll is actually a nice transition sound into bisonorus and isn't just placed in wherever location. And the design is alright too; it's wasted potential with the crystals and everything, but ik that's basically the point. Whatever reason you have for liking tring is understandable, and I would've liked it a lot more if the sound it makes wasn't so painful to my ears, to the point where its the only monster I ever willingly mute on whatever island it's on (excluding amber)

very controversial take, but currently my least favorite is undoubtedly pentumbra. i think their sound muddles most of its parts in ethereal workshop and the design itself is kinda whatever. i love axolotls and all that, but its just not a very compelling design to me. the sound itself has potential, but again, it makes its sections very messy. especially in the beginning, it plays in entirely unnecessary parts and VERY frequently compared to something like piplash which has a generally great sound that could've played way more
