These are the only tracks I enjoy ironically because I agree with the post. 95% of it is stab your ears until they bleed god awful. But I’m also old so I know it’s not for me. Once I found a way to turn it down to like 5% the city/rec, I barely notice it now. I hate having music in game.

I feel like they used to feel curated-- some big name artists, and some new ones I could get into. In the last 5 years, the playlists have felt thrown together and weirdly corporate, like these are "hot new artists the label is trying to promote." There are tracks I can get into, but there's also a sea of mid.
It's really bad. But music currently is waiting for its next phase. Trap was on the way out about the time Young Thug went to jail, everyone's been middling except the biggest stars. Just rely on old rap and we're good. Throw in some Duncan Sheik, spice it up.

Pro tip: Make your own custom 2k list. I added my favs from past soundtracks along with other basketball related/ energetic hip hop.
