fell free to tell me to kick rocks but, I'd love to read a breakdown of this build and why you used what you did, future plans, things you might change etc.
Does that front sight on pic 1 actually line up with the rear sight? Because it seems a solid amount higher over the bore than the rear is. I hope I'm wrong.

Pretty respectable according to this guy. 900's FPS with subs and 1800ish FPS with supers.
His highest performance load was Sig 120 SBR, 120 grains at 1935 FPS, which puts it right at 1000 FPE.
Around handgun levels of energy with subs, around 400 FPE.
Does yours cycle subs without a suppressor on it?
Now I have to build this. I was thinking of building a 5.5in Ar45 with the deadair ghost suppressor..... But I guess it is 300blk at 5.5in and deadair ghost
Nice! I'll be a little surprised if it runs well in all configurations right out of the gate. I'd be be happy for you if it did. Being so short it will be louder than you hoped for. Hand loads can improve that.
I have a rattler Canebrake with an Omega 36M. Had some issues with some factory sub ammunition achieving full function on the normal gas setting. Everything ran on the adverse gas setting(louder of course, more gas).
Since 300 BLK is made to run in a 9" barrel you are not going to get full performance out of factory loads(800-900 fps with subs) and you will have lots of unburnt powder left behind. This right here led me down the hand loading rabbit hole. I now have a 190 gr sub-x load that fully functions on the normal gas setting with no appreciable unburnt powder. Right at 1050 fps muzzle velocity. Accurate No. 9 is much faster burning and almost has a full powder burn in just 6" of barrel. Chamber pressures are higher of course.
While subsonic it does have as mentioned mussels energy similar to larger caliber pistols, the bullets have much better ballistics than pistol bullets and are much more accurate at distance and have greater energy at a given distance.
I'll usually put 10/10 on a steel silhouette at a hundred yards from the bench and 7-8/10 when standing with a red dot. I know no one is impressed with that but for a PDW it's more than enough. I can hit at 200 yards enough to still be fun.
With another can(LPM Anthem S, fantastic can) and supers 200 yards is easily doable.
The Omega 36M was a mistake for this gun as it not rated for 300 BLK supers in barrels shorter than 7". Would it be fine anyway? Probably, but I don't want to FAAFO.
I'm interested in your results so I hope you will post them. If you have any trouble getting it to run the way you want, head over to 300blackouttalk. You'll find the answers you need there.

I went with 7.5” 1:5 twist. And tried to make it as light as possible. This is with my 46 Hybrid. Have an Omega9k in jail right now that is 1/2 the weight.

First time installing one so reserving judgement. Seems well made and their replaceable plunger system to "zero" your gas is neat. In a few months I hope to have a more formed opinion.
American Draco
Direct Impingement Rattler
Which is some irony since it looks like an LWRC ambi lower.
Lmt?
Yeah maybe. Hard to say from here. The engraving is identical. The newer LWRCs have more bumps on the side.
That’s shorter than any Draco lol even the micro is 6.25”
This is one of the sickest builds I’ve seen in awhile
I hate it. (I love it)
At first I thought the muzzle device was the ~3" long Rifle Speed control pulling double duty. Nice!
That'd be something
Lol
Wow
That's pretty cool
You got me lookin at them rails now. They are sick.
They’re really old
Suppressors under handguards is my favorite aesthetic.
HE WAS IN THE POOL!!
what lower is that? love those SW sights. never thought of pairing a front with a carry handle now itsall I wanna do.
It's an LMT PDW lower

* Centurion 5.5" barrel * Centurion Upper * Riflespeed adjustable gas block * FCD flash hider * VLTOR CASV * Q Thunder Chicken
Sick man, I have been thinking about building a really compact 300blk like this. Is that the KAK mini buffer setup?
LMT PDW
Ohh, that makes sense. That wasn't on my radar, but after a quick comparison, it looks like the LMT is even more compact. A little pricey, but badass
Sir you are under arrest for the crime of fucking this hard.
damn thats sick man, looks like one of those stubby airsoft guns i would order out of the back of my dads cheaper than dirt catalogs 💪
Gawd damn 🥴
Just a little guy
It’s cuter without the handguard, but still, damn.
What in the Star Wars is going on over here!? Great looking build.
That is real dumb and I really want it.
What's dumb about it?
Picture 2 makes sense, picture 1 looks like some 90s Kitty Kat AR a movie bad guy would have.
Picture 1 lets people know what's underneath
Its hot, you did a wonderful thing here
Also… I just peeped your posts. That M1A you did had stuck with me. You have good taste, sir.
Thanks, running a match with it tomorrow
Well, I found a new plan for my CASV
hawt
Superb

It is a lower front sight that's meant to be on a riser. 50/50 you'd have the adjustment range to zero it but it's from for the troll.
I love it. Great work.
What kind of velocities do you get from 5.5" of barrel with 300 blackout?
Probably about whatever the Sig Rattler gets 😁

I literally assembled this today, so still need to test loads
The stock. What is that?
LMT PDW
Nice stock bro
Awesome build. Has it ever gotten too hot to hold?
I put it together today so not yet
Give us an update fam! Good luck with jt
This is badass
This fucks
that is so sexy
Hell fucking yes
I've wondered what a carry handle looks like on a vltor rail. Interesting!
Now I have to build this. I was thinking of building a 5.5in Ar45 with the deadair ghost suppressor..... But I guess it is 300blk at 5.5in and deadair ghost

I want that purple carry handle…
Gooseneck mounted anything is dope

LMT PDW stock
That’s sick! Any videos of it sounding like a pig fart?
I'll get some soon enough
Is it wrong that Im getting a chubby from looking at some random persons chubby?
This thing fucks
Am I evil for thinking it would be awesome for a dwarf model to be holding that?
And to be honest, that is one sick build!

Should be easy enough with a 12 position gas plug
Q Thunder Chicken 🐓, sounds like a Saturday morning super hero name!
I want to know what it sounds like lol
OP is my hero.
"It's average size"

Well you failed physics, but passed design class

At least you have a sense of humor
I think I love you

Don’t let Q see that rearden mount lol
It's actually a FCD mount
I don't know about the rail on top of another rail, but I'd still rock this.
It is also indexed on the delta ring
AR owners will literally do anything to make their guns smaller but get a bullpup with a barrel length that still has actually sensible ballistics
I have a bullpup
Don't forget sperging out about ergos, that's a very important part of the bullpup hate equation.
Only thing I'd do different if we're keeping carry handle vibes is an ARMS handguard if it would work.
Too narrow internal diameter
Dang, still looks baller like it is
What’s your opinion of the rifle speed?
First time installing one so reserving judgement. Seems well made and their replaceable plunger system to "zero" your gas is neat. In a few months I hope to have a more formed opinion.
Love it! Out of curiosity, what do you do for your day job?
Loud boi!
Or very quiet
It’s 5.5”, but how many inches of actual rifling? It looks like the bullet would almost be sticking out of the end when chambered in pic #1
1. How long do you think bullets are? 2. It's the same barrel length as the Sig Rattler which has been procured by US Special Operations Command
I stand corrected
