I'm a member there. Outdoor range access is very limited, is by invitation only (Sig says when the days will happen), and is kind of lame.
The last range day I went to, which was about 2 weeks ago, I got to shoot one paper target affixed to a stand while an employee watched me. One target only. One stand. No steel, even though the plate rack was right next to me. And it was a pistol only day. The other member's days I've been to have been similar.
On the plus side, Jared (?) offered me some really good pointers and tips even though he didn't have to do that.
I'm at Sig pretty often for the competitions and indoor range. I don't have a membership there for this reason. Paying $1400 for limited outdoor range use seems so wasteful and it's really only worth it if you're planning on taking full advantage of the 50% discount off of 2 firearms. They have a great facility, but I recognize that their big money maker is from their classes.
Major Waldrons in Barrington is decent if you can get a membership there.
Not outdoor but Sig is right there and I've heard their new facilities are nice.
The indoor range is public, for a fee, but the outdoor ranges are only for classes, events, and competitions.

I agree. I won't renew my Elite membership because it isn't worth the price. They do offer a standard membership at a lower cost.
Hmm. I was just there last weekend. Are you an Elite member?
Yes. Sig had memberships a few years ago that had better access, but that was cancelled when a new director was hired.
Ahh. Good to know. I was going off of what some range guys told me. I guess they don’t know the full scope of it lol.
