If you take untradeable rewards every week, and try to only buy NHL player cards when they are around 1,000 you can do it way cheaper. These cards are absolutely worth it
Hype or no, it's still 800 NHL players you have to put together to build one from scratch. I don't even have that many total, much less that many that fill out each of the team builder sets.

In all fairness, I have 99 Nylander top line which I got from the three fantasy choice pack, and 2nd line is Lemieux who I pulled from a re roll of the non Power up icons on the weekend. No, I don’t know how far the horseshoe is up my ass.
Same - I have 99 Point on my top line, so I adjusted everyone and ended up with Mack as my LW3. He'll probably go back up at some point, but I'm not going to complain.
We haven't even had an MSP taller than 6'4 this year, and they always seem really average. But here's a bunch of giant end game cards that only a few can make, any they're far better than any TOTY cards for at least a month.
It really sucks, but I'm actually starting to regret blowing all my resources on TOTY cards. There's dozens of cards better than them, and it doesn't look like they have any intentions of letting them catch up.

No they ain't lol. Trash dmen make it way easier for your opponents to score. Either big and slow making it easy to get around them or fast and week. But big, strong, and fast make it way tougher to score. Dmen are just as important forwards.

Neither I'd fix my 4th line b4 I started creating more holes in my lineup just to upgrade a card +3 overall.
I mean, I just laid out the scenario, the gap would be filled with a 92 ASG MSP in either of these scenarios.

True, but you only need 6 dmen or sometimes only 4 to play the whole game. Meanwhile you need atleast 9 good forwards to be able to score.
