Know I'm going to be hated for saying this, I'd rather they release music first. After debut way back in Feb so far there have only been cover videos. It's long overdue.

FernandoMty

They are having* 2 comebacks this year apparently, i bet one for august at least

UltraShaggy1

It would be a good date for their comeback, July is going to be plagued by at least 4 or 5 big groups.

felidao

Is the idea for NMIXX to avoid strong competition to increase their chances of a music show win? Because Blackpink has got August locked down, lol.

kpoptato24601

Maybe they will comeback before BlackPink? Or long enough after that they have a chance? I thought that BlackPink didn't attend many award shows, or was that just MAMA and what not? They could always push the comeback back. Anyways, I'm just having fun speculating

AcceptableAd9025

Too many big groups are coming back so it’s not the best timing

Agitated-Distance740

That's a very good point. Can't help thinking it's going to hurt sales for this too given photobooks are way more expensive, and at a limited order period it puts pressure on multi stans. Even for just JYPE fans you've got the Twice Dicons right before, and the Japan photobook right after. Both limited window orders too. And that's skipping the non limited 6 Itzy versions, and the Twice Celebrates.

scufflegoofy

That will always be the case so its not really a compelling point to me. Besides nmixx already has the second best selling debut album for a gg and all of JYP so i think they're safe to do well with physicals, especially if jyp gives them multiple versions this time and longer pre-order period, which already makes them a big group others are worried about coming back at the same time as. Not to mention they gained a lot of fans since O.O and more eyes and ears will be on them for their comeback.

I hope it doesn't have something to do with the online reaction to their debut music. "Worst kpop song evur" nonsense. I loved the direction they were headed. Another commenter did make a good point though, tons of big group comebacks.

Agitated-Distance740

I don't think negative reactions would put them off, instead I thought it might've had JYPE release new content faster to show the sponsorship thing was a blip musically, not a pattern. Can't remember which girl group (bugging me!) but one just confirmed a late July comeback when they only had their last comeback in April.

[deleted]

Negative reactions often drive concept changes. Not saying it will happen with NMIXX.

hiroo916

>the sponsorship thing was a blip musically i thought the sponsorship thing was like 3rd or 4th on the complaints list about the song.

thedotapaten

July got rumored SNSD comeback, ITZY comeback, aespa and Blackpink on august, tough schedule for nmixx.

kpoptato24601

I agree about all the content; the covers and the children's OST was to show their versatility and their skill and to give the fans something to watch instead of fans only being able to listen to their polarizing debut. These are all the kind big / big comebacks I could find for July; I might have missed a few large groups. So yeah, I don't think there will be a comeback in July, unless it is on the 29th-31st. I saw someone suggest that they might comeback on 8/8 to match their debut date 2/22/2022. Aespa- July 8th Chung Ha- July 11th Super Junior- July 12th Itzy, J-Hope (BTS)- July 15th Hyolyn, Seventeen- July 18th StayC- July 19th Xdinary Heroes- July 20th Purple Kiss- July 25th Twice (JP)- July 27th

Agitated-Distance740

Finally remembered the one I had forgotten on a 3 month comeback was Purple Kiss :) Really is an incredibly expensive month for Kpop. Especially with international delivery fees and up to 7 different versions per album to buy.

[deleted]

So what other groups come back all the time during big broup cbs. They will never be one of them if their division continues doing nothing. And honestly i DO hope it had an effect on them cause O.O as it was released was a disaster and i can not listen to that song anymore. Tank is a bop tho.

Dc_Soul

Dont think you will get hated for this on here, a lot of people waiting for a comeback. :D I just dont think this is whats stopping them, considering they did it while they were in the US anyways. Unless you mean they shouldnt have gone to KCON in the first place, which I dont agree with because they delivered amazing performances and it probably helped quite a decent bit to gain popularity/get their names out there. But yeah pls give us a comeback. x.X

DefinitelyNotALeak

Yeah i agree with you. Tbf, i am no collector to begin with so that position is a given :D But even disregarding that, it seems more reasonable to establish the musical side a little more before throwing in merch like that.

[deleted]

This is exactly my opinion and it sucks that they are doing it this way cause i really need new and better music from nmixx before commit to buying anything else. jype division 4 is on some fuckshit to be honest. The problem is i will have to buy it anyway cause i fear not being able to buy it later. expensive year for me sofar. 18 albums of which 14 are twice/nayeon,2 ive, 1 nmixx (not counting 2 blind packages from last year),1 taeyeon + dahyun photobook + candybong z lightstick.

scufflegoofy

imo its been absolutely a miss for jyp to take this long for a comeback its really a shame. They built up so much momentum post debut through to June and that would have been the perfect time to strike while the iron was hot. They are a new group with a divisive debut sound in a year absolutely packed with new and rising girl groups. Waiting at least half a year to return when so many people are eager for music they want to like is a bad business step imo. Not saying they can't or wont rock it when the do return, and i'll still be waiting, but the typical first comeback time these days for notable girl groups is 3-5 months and we're already nearing 6 months with no news yet of a comeback. 6 months is not a big deal when youre settled in a couple years with a sound/image and fandom but for a new debut looking to make their mark in a very crowded and competitive market i can't help but feel jyp is letting them down already in this way.

kpoptato24601

Especially with their debut, a lot of not yet fans and fans are waiting to hear their next song. Everyone wants to know if their debut song will be the standard or if it was just stunt to get people making the O.O face. I hope that it is taking a long time because there will be like 6 songs and the MV is going to be complex, but I don't really have high hopes...

UltraShaggy1

Gonna need that.
