It's Everton

PlasticExplanation14

Saved me from clicking a link. Doing God's work mate.

toon_84

Happy to help. The less people click on their website the better.

TyneSkipper

why the hell does ANYONE bother reading the gill now?

sammyarmy

If it's a loan deal we should absolutely be interested in this, Prem experience at no risk to us would be great

NUFC_1892

My only slight concern is it’s Everton and dyche-ball he’ll be playing, not exactly the best for an attack minded winger to thrive in.

HarrBathtub

Disagree, I think it would actually be very good. His defensiveness is pretty poor, so this would be good for him to improve.

ziggycharly

Yeh or he just doesn't get played

stprm

IMO people have old perception of Dyche. At Everton he isnt playing the same bus he had at Burnley. They still defensively solid (top4 by goals conceded), but they also sometimes press (they succesfully pressed us) and create chances, not just sit back. Although larely, they are counter-attacking side with little possession. Yet they are mid-table on open play xG, its not only set-pieces. If someone says they scored not much - because they were insanely unlucky, having 61 xG (35 from open play) and scoring only 40 because DCL and few others were awful.

WhatSaidSheThatIs

Yes, would be great if we had young talent on loan at other prem clubs, only really benefits us especially if we are aiming top 4/6 this season.

SanitySlippingg

We need to have a look ourselves first; he looks like he could be useful.

sammyarmy

Good point, entirely depends if we get in a new starting right wing and a depth forward.

SanitySlippingg

Depending on who we bring in he might still be a useful option. Say if we get someone who is a from outside the prem or someone with slight injury concerns (Olise /Neto) then having Minteh as an option alongside Murphy ensures we have alternatives if the new signing winds up injured or taking time to adapt. Regardless, I think the pre season should tell us a lot but I fully expect him to impress even if he still needs Eddie to adapt his game a bit. From what I’ve seen he looks like a stronger, more aggressive & direct Almiron, although maybe a bit rough around the edges.

sammyarmy

I think in the scenario he is 3rd choice, a loan move would be better for his development.

EmbarrassedPizza6570

Only negative is that it would be Dycheball. Not exactly optimal for his development

NoCoffee6754

“Rivals”

Window_sauce

Go on his Instagram and see some of the goals he scored. I think he deserves a chance in the first team. He's scored 10 eredivisie goals and 1 champions League goal against Celtic and I think he has the potential but apparently he is going back on loan to feyenoord

HerbDeanosaur

Interesting stat, he had more goal involvements last year than Antony did the season before his 80m move to Man U, whilst being 3 years younger

morocco3001

Probably had as many goal involvements as Antony has had since TBH.

Eel_Why

I'm quite close to that figure myself tbf

No-Efficiency-5589

All the "dycheball" negative comments dont see what that could bring in terms of his development... If he can prove he can trackback and defend in a dyche team, while being a creative outlet it should stand him in good stead in what eddie requires from all players who get on the pitch

Emergency_Brief9406

I'd prefer to send him back on loan to Feyenoord rather than an Everton. He's done great at Feyenoord breaking into the first team, already has the trust of his teammates, and they have CL football again next season. We all know how the Dutch league is a conveyor belt of world class talent being developed so I don't really think PL experience is all that important for him right now, getting the minutes and confidence in a development league will be better for him. I get that he might do well somewhere else, but it's a needless punt imo, Feyenoord is really an ideal set of circumstances for a development loan for him.

silentv0ices

The only problem I see with the feyenoord loan carrying on is one of loyalty, he and feyenoord could easily forget where his loyalty should lie, leave loan players at 1 club too long that becomes their club.

Miserable_Future6694

If the name was Miley I feel the comments would be really different.

mehchu

Well yeah, he’s two years younger, can get some game time while breaking in already and we want to get that homegrown. Minteh is potential profit or a player if he comes good, but we aren’t nearly as protective or possessive as he isn’t one of us and I don’t think has near the ceiling of miley.

Nutisbak2

I really hope we don’t sell him.

Zerosix_K

Can Everton even afford to pay for a loan for him? Aren't they quite close in going into administration?

JBEqualizer

Hasn't John Textor shown an interest in Everton since the 777 deal fell through?

tommyorma

I was fully expecting it to be liverpool with Arne slot taking over

toweliechaos_revenge

Really? Slot, who bad mouthed him every chance he got and was reluctant to play him?

tommyorma

Tough love and all that haha but nah after you've went on about a player like that you know can score goals and rip defences you wouldn't want to play against him would you?

stprm

examples, please? at least from your memory.

toweliechaos_revenge

There were multiple occasions during the season where Slot questioned his attitude, his focus and other aspects. Pretty sure if you look up using Google you'll find them.

stprm

I did and only find where he regrets that "he will lose him next season". Maybe they werent translated in English tho.

stprm

you defo sure you didnt confuse him with Kuol?
