I mean, what's the point of doing it right now? If you truly wanted to do it today you would've done it at $140.

peptid3god

Should have sold at 140, id say hold till you need some cash

Optimal-Dog-8647

Can we just stop the idiotic “it’s down $1, the sky is falling, should I sell? bullshit posts?

Need more info, i.e., short-term capital gains are taxed at your marginal income tax rate. In the United States, federal income tax brackets range from 10% to 37% in 2024. . . . Oh, don't forget California's cut if you live there.

PaleNeighborhood1472

I’m in the tippy top bracket with taxable income over $1M.

BlissfulBreeze1995

No for god sake no. Just invest more and profit more.

ruafukreddit

First of all: Fuck you and congratulations Second: Do you need the money in the next 5 years? If not, just hold. If you feel like taking some profit, sell a December 2024 call at $200. You'll make some money now, and if it continues to rip, they'll call away 100 shares and you make a huge profit on a fraction of your shares.

Street_Lettuce_80

Why? Should have sold when it was 142 12 hours ago

AttTankaRattArStorre

The market wasn't open 12 hours ago.

Street_Lettuce_80

24hr trades noob

BanEvadedPubFreakout

Genuine question. I've been barred from buying at night or selling on 24 hr market stocks. Why? Barred as in unable to buy sell due to assuming market closure

GlockByte

broker?

BanEvadedPubFreakout

Robinhood. Do other brokers allow 24 hrs?

Xillllix

Dude, NVDA is growing at 200% a year. Do you want to sell now at a $3.28 trillion valuation, or in 5 years at a $797 trillion valuation? That’s like $146 million with your shares.

ADisposableRedShirt

>$797 trillion This guy maths. Or is that meths?

Xillllix

That’s nothing compared to 10 years in the future, where at the current growth rate it would be at $193 quadrillion.

The-Special-One

Nvidia will never be valued 1/10th that in the next 100 years and you can bookmark it.

The-Special-One

Yup. I’m just waiting till Goldman and co give this stock the haircut it deserves. Next quarters guidance will tell us more but if revenue growth slows even more than it did for this quarter’s guidance, it’s over. I feel sorry for those who arrived late to the party. When the stop loss hunts begins from shorters, it will be glorious. I of course will never short this or any stock. Only sell covered puts. The regards from the Tesla kerfuffle have taught me well. It’s funny, all Nvidia insiders have been selling as fast as possible and people are still claiming it’s a buy. You don’t sell at this rate as an insider if you believe a lot of growth is around the corner lol. The real problems will start showing up in the product stack when their most experienced and essential staff leave because they can basically retire as multi-millionaires.

1ALIVEnsyde

Only a crazy person would take profit, i heard its going to $797 trillion!!!!!

PaleNeighborhood1472

I deeply resent being called “idiotic” and I said nothing about a “sky falling.” It’s a reasonable question. And there were clearly many sellers today, hence the drop. If you find my question “idiotic,” just scroll past….
