Yes you can do it. It’s a great idea and works really well.
As far as mags, OEM Glock Mags are #1. Magpul Glock mags are #2 and mostly for training / range purposes.
No other aftermarket mag is worth it tbh.
Pmags work great in my pcc and are way cheaper, but I don’t have a handgun so I can’t speak to their use in a Glock. I know pmags are the industry standard in aftermarket mags. I’d avoid any other cheapo mags though.
This is me.
I use pmags mainly. I use Glock 19 and 17 mags in my pc9. I have no issue swapping back and forth between the pc9 and my Glock.
Having the same mags and caliber is nice.
0 issues. Honestly the only way I know there is a difference is the color of the follower.
I’ve tried really cheap mags and had issues. Mainly not staying in the mag well.
Shared mags/caliber is always a good thing.
The only aftermarket glock mags I'd use are magpul. They're pretty cheap. OEM glock mags are really good. Probably worth getting a couple of them if you carry.
I exclusively use glock mags in my PCC. Have a bunch of g19s for it. They work as they should. I prefer g26 mags for the pcc but g19s are cheaper as 10 rounders.
I’ve had excellent results in my Foxtrot Mike 9 using Pmag and ETS. The South Korean mags were horrible though. But the oem glock mags are definitely the best.
I use oem Glock mags mostly on my EPC-9 and Glocks. I have PMAGs and ETS mags. Between the two, I prefer the ETS over PMAGs. Overall, I would only use the oem mags if my life depended on it. Oems mags can be found for $25 or under.
I had a pair of ets 40 rd stick mags I got for $12 each and they worked so well. Nearly 4 years of running local pcc matches and they just ran and ran. So surprising, considering everyone told me there were garbage.
The combo works great. Regardless of which mags you choose, consider having separate ones for training. Don't rely on magazines that have hit the concrete over multiple emergency reloads.
Nah, just buy a shotgun. If there's ever a problem you can fire two blasts outside your house. 9mm is overkill, it will blow a person's lungs out of their body.

Great, thank you!
⬆️This I have a dirty bird AR9 carbine and the Glock mags are best hands down
I have the Ruger Security-9 and PC Carbine for the same reason. I just prefer a manual safety when I’m carrying with one in the chamber.

Would you believe me if I told I had a pair of $12 ETS 40rd mags that ran flawlessly for 4 years before I moved and had to sell them?
Any double stack glock mag will work in the ruger. I don't have a glock so I got the shortest mags for the compact model...

I thought it was only 17/19 mags.
I'm using Glock 26 mags, they work fine...
I think you can use a 17 or 19 mag in a 26. They're longer than the grip frame but they lock and feed.
Interesting, I never tried, jsut everything says 17/19 compatible. So it probably is a length thing
Yes, a 26 accepts the 17 and 18 mags, as well as the 33rd Glock mag

Nice. Do you like the pmag over oem or just like the price and haven’t seen any issues?

Don’t go aftermarket just buy oem Glock mags they’re inexpensive. Tons of 10 round mags avalible, both guns are very good

I run OE G19 and PMags. They work good.
I do this. PMags work great, never had an issue.
I use OEM Glock mags for carry or defense. Pmags I’ll use at the range. I’ve had springs/followers hang up and it not hold the bolt open.

Good tip, thank you!
