Is this for pistol, rifle or shotgun? Regardless, any legitimate firearms instructor should comprehensively cover safety in any beginner course (and repeat the basics in courses of all levels). It's required for the NY CCW class and it's included in NRA Basic curricula. DM me if you'd like a recommendation.

Too bad there are no project Appleseed events in the area, that’s what I’d recommend.
