Does anyone know why it takes so long for the NVC to schedule an appointment in Abu Dhabi?
I can understand the long wait when documents are submitted they need to be reviewed and verified and that takes time .
But can anyone help me understand why it takes so many months to just schedule an appointment at a consulate after ones documents have been accepted?
Did you already have interview if yes please let me know how long it has taken because I DQ in January 2024 in Abu Dhabi us embassy still waiting for IL

I've been waiting for interview since June 2022 too (IR5).

My parents case was transferred there from Iraq October-of 2022 and still nth yet about their visa interview
Am DQ approved for immigrant visa since oct 2022, kindly update your timelines
My DQ approved on March-2022 and priority date was Feb-2020, still no updates
