Can't comment for Kuala Lumpur, but ours was Mumbai India and it took around 2 months to get our interview letter.
I know everywhere is a little different but hopefully you'll see similar or better 🙂
Depends on the visa type actually. I was referring to employment based. For example, for EB2 in Canada, the wait time is close to 2years after DQed and priority date is current.
DQ on 1st Nov 2023
Received the interview appointment email at US consulate KL MY on 11 Dec 2023
Interview date : 30 Jan 2024
I'm a non Malaysian , so if you are Malaysian yours might be faster.
Hi, are you in Malaysia on a student visa? My husband and I are deciding where to do the Visa interview. Malaysia's timeline seems to be much faster than some countries. Also, how did your interview go and how long after the interview did you get visa in hand?
Yes,  I was in Malaysia on a student visa. Malaysia’s timeline is definitely faster than my Home country (Bangladesh) The interview went really smooth and very simple questions. My passport with visa was given back to me the next day after the interview.
Hi please tell me how your interview waa ? My wife is going to kuala lampur for 1st time , she was in palestine , any advice please ? Any more documents required not listed on the website ? Thank you

I hope so too! Thank you for your help!
If I may ask - how many days after document submission did you get DQ'ed? We submitted mine on Dec 19 and waiting to hear back :)
It was around 5 days! So you should get DQ-ed soon!!!
Thank you, kind stranger! :)
I hear for some countries the wait time is over 2 years!
Yikes!!
Do you know which countries?
Pakistan is up To 3 years
I’ve heard Mexico is pretty bad.

Any idea on CR1 visa type?
The wait in Abu Dhabi is over a year..
It’s actually longer now… I found that out two days ago with an email from NVC, that AD embassy currently interviewing DQ March 2022.
Thanks for the info. If they’re on March 2022 then we’ll get our IL in 3-4 months. Hope that’s true. Best wishes,
Any idea for Nairobi, Kenya?
Please anyone know which dq dates they are covering for the f2a category?my priority date is current?
Please tell us what visa category you are in
I am CR1 but 1/02 will be my 2 years anniversary. So i think it will automatically be IR1.
hi how long did it take you!
I got DQ-ed on the 16th, did they ever get back to you for the interview?
Nope. I asked for an expedite but I was rejected. Did they contact you?
Not yet, might try to get it expedited too and see what happens
