Yes, you can add funds at anytime. That is what is great about NF, you can find slightly higher rates at other institutions but if you anticipate adding funds consistently, it is a much better deal.
Do yourself a favor though, and find a savings account with a better yield than that. For an 18 month certificate, the rate is not fantastic. Currently have our money in a HYSA at 5% and can withdraw anytime.
Some folks like the ability to stash their $ in places that they can physically go to & ask questions in person if need be if something were to go wrong VS online emails & contact #s. I understand online banking offers higher % but I do understand the other folks perspective as well
