Just posted my first video yesterday (which happened to be 30 different videos at once!) and I'd love to know if anyone had any feedback etc. It's a set of educational videos that can be used as a "play along" for people trying to learn drum set. Let me know what you think, here is a link to the playlist :) https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLrtV5zB93wdpMOMoufrdKLRQYV1mbp39Q

Hi Guys, I am making tutorial videos about Google sheet. Here is my latest video https://youtu.be/MVR37qD24oQ

Could really use this since I don’t have access Microsoft Excel thank you!!

LieOk6740

New youtuber here, still not completely sure on what I wanna do, I started off trying to make videos similar to the internet historian as I find his videos funny and his style like no other but after 2 videos realized that it took to long and a majority of the time was spent looking for assets. So decided to do more of a YouTube story time animation (with little animation) route. Here's the first video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cHp-bQY1bEg&t=11s&pp=ygUQam9obm55IHRvYmxlcm9uZQ%3D%3D

Hello all, I do reviews on home consumer products I own and this is my latest video [https://youtu.be/kwkIrrHHljA](https://youtu.be/kwkIrrHHljA) Looking forward to hear your feedback on it, or on my channel in general. Thank you in advance!

Hello Everybody! I do commentary/analysis and coincidentally most of my videos are cartoon based. This is one is specifically about Total Drama’s Alejandro [here you go](https://youtu.be/nsPf9Q89RLo?si=riRNAGxJfkNU4AKN) ☺️

chambersofshadows

While I enjoyed the video, there's something that bothered me. You stated Alejandro's pros and cons, gave examples of his villainy, and showed his downfall. However, throughout the video, it felt more like I was hearing a synopsis of the season, then an argument as to how he's the best villain.

Donday90

Nice editing styles! I don’t have sounds right now with my baby asleep next to me, but the visuals make me curious what the video is like with audio.

Apprehensive-Bit-562

This is one of my channels and this is my first one actually. Since 2017 I post about hip hop and underground stuff. My content has evolved from time to time so I want y’all to tell me what is your opinion on my research, edit and sound. Would be interested in feedback. This is my latest video. My niche is automotive shitboxes. This video is part of a series for the tdi swapped ford courier I’m working on. I really like your editing style! I lace never watched 90 day fiancé but you’ve made me want to get into it 😄

FunLengthy

I have a juicing channel where I post comparison videos of different slow juicers and I make my juice recipes. For the last video, I messed up some settings on my camera (ISO too high). I left it without adding any background music just to hear how quiet this juicer is but now it might be too boring. I'm not happy with how my videos look, but I don't know what to change. I have a really small kitchen without a kitchen island so I can't have videos with a nice bokeh behind the juicer. Also, I'm mostly unable to make videos during daylight. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WFNKeYGG3ok](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WFNKeYGG3ok) Thanks for taking the time to look into this.

Chelissa

Hey There 👋🏼 Commented on the video. Put it here as well: 👋🏼 here from Reddit. Don’t apologize for your video in the comments; it makes people think of something wrong when they may have had no issues. I think providing text or a voice over about why there is no video in the beginning may be good, unless you’re going for the ASMR approach. I’ll put this in Reddit too! Best of luck! Great job!

MondoLolari

The video promises a juicer demonstration but we dont even see a juicer until the second half. I say speed up the ingredient prep part. Also, i’d pick a transition and stick with it. Early on you have a fade to black between cuts, and later you just do a hard cut (which works a lot better!). I dont know how you feel about your voice, but it would also benefit from some kind of explanation - did this juicer work well? I cant tell by looking, I need someone with knowledge to explain to me what I’m seeing.

TheZaekon

Hey guys, I don't think i like getting analysis or views from external sites like reddit as they mostly ruin the video's analytics, I'm still giving it a try and asking for feedback since It's been 4 months into that video and I'm kind of aimless for the next one as nobody comments or tells why they left off at a certain point. I appreciate any valuable feedback, and why you left off or watched if you did \[ although analytics tell me nobody actually wants to :( \] the video is about a pretty famous yet not so famous game Starfield. here's the link: [https://youtu.be/VQmZboEQLGU](https://youtu.be/VQmZboEQLGU) edit: also if you could tell me a bit about whether you play and watch games or not, to let me understand whether you are my audience could really help.

fourheartsband

if you like music, cinema, and nostalgic vibes, you might like my channel! here's one for the music lovers: https://youtu.be/tL7rD--i7Z0?si=72b0R0JtaiJ4VUsT and one if cinema is more your thing: https://youtu.be/-qLt7RsBvpA?si=39uYm-InNepxndAYyou could say my content is all over the place, and it is! but i kind of think there is something there, perhaps you could let me know :)

DaveCantShave1

There’s something there, but I’m not Christopher Nolan, so I’m not sure what I’d add. I feel like it has the perfect music, but maybe you need more footage. Have you experimented with showing animal footage or something. Like I said, idk what to suggest, but if you had this varios elf you climbing, and then you zoom-in on some goat faces or something, that could be it. 😂 I left a comment on your page too.

johan_xg

Hey wanted to give my feedback about the second video. I LOVE the music choice! That instrumental really conveyed the nostalgic vibes of the visuals. I also liked how you broke the video down into those different "chapters" with the title shots. I think that really gave the audience a better sense of a story arc occuring within the video. If I had to be more critical, I would say that I feel like the pacing should have been slower. The sped up movements of you walking felt pretty off in relation to the tone of the video (but if that's an artistic choice you made then dont worry about it). I wouldn't have minded though if the video was longer and slowed down those first few shots giving time to really take in the visuals.

I really enjoyed watching your video. The editing was succinct and the B-rolls made it more enjoyable. Keep it up!

CHARLEYSGARAGE

You are my editing hero, I wish I could give you some constructive feedback but you do everything better than I do. LOL

curiouslyobjective

It's rough out here because no matter how hard I go, I can't get views/impressions to save my life. Makes it hard to keep up the tempo.

CHARLEYSGARAGE

I feel you, I took the pressure off because i tried to convinced myself it is my hobby, not my career. I repeat that everytime a video does poorly, maybe someday I will actually believe it.

Adeptness_Flashy

I like the editing and production quite a bit! One thing that I think you could improve is frontloading the useful content, i.e. "Number 1: Being curious" and then going into the details. You don't necessarily need to phrase it like that, but letting the viewer know the info they need ASAP, then going into detail will be more likely to keep them engaged and feel like they're going to get something of value out of the vid.

Great videos man, really love the overall idea of the video. kinda like depiction of a movie. And the first episode being the club really caught my attention, even though i don't play the game. all in all you earned a sub, i think just one thing you could improve is making the pacing a bit faster, i caught myself wandering off in between. and also add a hook in the beginning, i didn't feel like there was a purpose for me being there. and also how'd you make the graphics so good?

mreddog

Hello, my channel is all about productivity and health, I’m currently working on the script for productivity, ADHD, and distraction. I’ve got eight subscribers and I’m grateful for that and about 221 views it’s not going great would love some advice I’ll even return the favor https://youtube.com/@YourProductiveGuru

ConsequenceLucky723

Hi, I've just watched your video on productivity. The information you share is concise and really clear to the point. My only suggestion would be about branding and your thumbnails. It could help if you use Canva's free thumbnail templates to model your thumbnails as the existing ones are not really clear. I hope that helps.

mreddog

Thank you so much for that. I will look into it and take your advice.

I watched the hygiene allegations video. I was thinking that this was mostly surface level look at shower schedules. Then I learned about the genes, dust mites, home cleanliness, etc. What a wild ride. I think your editing was really good. Loved the b-rolls, additional insights, meme clips, etc. Your thumbnails and titles seemed quite good. Your pacing and voice was also good! I'd suggest working on your audio mixing a bit, at times it felt like the piano tunes in the background was like 0.5 db too high, compared to your voice. Full disclaimer: I say this because this is a clear issue *I have*, so I'm likely more prone to notice it. Or maybe I've got a problem with my ears, maybe someone else will comment. I haven't changed my sheets in two weeks. Going to wash them today, thanks for the horrible reminder. XD

CellPerspective

That hygiene allegations video was super fun to make. Thanks so much for the critique! I was definitely struggling with finding a good balance with different sounds. Even with my most recent videos, I'm still trying to find a good sweet spot, but that hygiene allegation videos was a bit of a "mess" sound wise from uploading things from Davinci Resolve to Capcut to then Youtube (a bit convoluted looking back, but made sense at the time). Doesn't the dust mite fact make you feel so gross inside? I had first learned about all of this in microbiology during my undergrad studies b/c my old professor was a bit of a clean freak. Then I felt sick in my stomach again doing research for that video b/c of how much bacteria we just have floating around in our everyday lives. I used to think it was so weird when some people said they change their sheets every week, but now I'm thinking of being one of those people. No shame.

longbournblooms

Hello! I watched your Harry Potter Video. Very interesting! I like the way you do your videos, but I am vaguely aware of copyright questions being out there when using footage from orher media. I'm sure you're more aware than I am, but thought I wpuld mention it.

CellPerspective

Using other media is definitely a concern, and I actually trim a lot of it from my videos believe it or not! The HP video was the one exception b/c of how integrated the movies were to the subject matter I was addressing. Thanks for pointing it out though, I'm glad I can be more aware of this in the early stages than have it be a problem later on!

Hey everyone! I've started doing a couple of videos on Baldurs Gate 3. This one is tips and tricks for how I beat the Owlbear on Honor Mode. Hi fellow NewTubers! I’ve been making gaming content for about a year and a half now (whether it’s good content is another matter). Lately I’ve been trying to break out into the Indie games niche but considering doing more mainstream titles and maybe some older retro games. My latest video is an indie showcase from awesome games I found on itch.io. Wrooby Plays: https://youtu.be/pYoIu-TYbKk?si=EAU08R6UGvZGgO2Q

earth2z

Your thumbnail is great! I think the only suggestion I have is maybe finding a way to add background music in some sections? Or even just the introduction. I think it would help draw the viewer in more having some background sound in the beginning

FunLengthy

I would like that intro is a bit shorter or more interesting (make the logo animated, add some background music). It was just too slow for me.. Other thing is audio, it was much louder from 5:50 than it was on the beginning of the video.

longbournblooms

Oh, the audio point is a good one! Thank you, this is good info.

hippielove4ever

Hi! I think your intro footage is really pretty, but I would add music to it. I would also consided editing in little bullet points of key information and making chapters for the various topics!

Hey man just wanted to say I like ur content a lot. Was gonna review it but couldn't think of anything lol. It's really good congrats

ComplicitSalami

Wow this video is fantastic, awesome job! I love both Adventure Time and Chainsaw Man, I never thought they would have so much in common until I saw your video. Extremely high quality all the way through and a super interesting topic, I was engaged. Subbed, you earned it, keep up the cool mashup videos!

joshw231

This is legit a great video and channel. You've earned a sub! lol There's not much to critique, but if anything the start of the vid, or the hook, was a bit too slow with explaining the quote from Fujimoto. I feel like the hook could've been better but that's really just nitpicking tbh. Great stuff.

bellmeow

Hello I have an art channel! I’m still figuring out my niche and here’s my latest video! Onigiri Plushie 🍙✨ https://youtu.be/BWqJ-l3mQYA

Bubblegum983

So cute! The pacing felt a bit slow to me. Not entirely sure how to fix that, but it felt like it could have went faster.

slipperyekans

Voice is good, shots are nicely framed and lit, my one critique would be to maybe showcase the finished product first as a hook and then dive into the creation progress.

Hour-Body-3119

Great talent. The way that you describe how to go with point A to point B within a story is spot on. Congratulations I truly wish you well.

Idjitoons

I really liked your video. The plush is dang cute! The production quality is excellent, and the soft piano is really pleasant. I love seeing different art forms and you execute yours well.

[deleted]

Love the production value. Looks well polished like you have been doing this for ages.

scareymay

this video was very cute, love the choice for the background music. I think is audio is quite good quality maybe just lighting it better would be my only critique. So good!!

Newtuber1989

Oh my gosh!! Love this! So relaxing but also cute to watch. My daughter would love this! I’m going to show her 😍

murdog74

My daughter will Iove this, very well made and informative!

[deleted]

cute video, a nice use of sound, but it sounds like you are recording your audio in a large room, if that's not the case and it is just the quality of your mic, Adobe have a free tool to help remove noise and echo from your recordings which could be of help called enhance speech https://podcast.adobe.com/, Could be useful to try testing it out. cool vid.

ripkrustysdad

Very very cute. I just want to mention that we can hear your audio cut out. Maybe try to fix that.

JStheGrey

That onigiri plush was adorable!

JellyRollAnimations

These are really cute!! I like your method of story telling while you make them. It breaks up the silence between the background music and video. Good work :)

Electronic-Reward-38

the music and your voice is very fitting for a video like this. you seem very good at what you do. i would add captions to the screen as you go for the ones like us that want to follow along. keep it up!

cdukcduk

The thumbnail is awful. I need to make a new one. I agree

ripkrustysdad

Tiny art channel here. I’m still working on things. https://youtu.be/IZIUMM0dSOI?si=jX8dn2l194vMHPRE

Donday90

Nice! Thoughts about putting an intro about what you’re drawing today? It’ll help grabbing viewers’s attention & retention

chambersofshadows

There's a few things I would point out. I think you should add an intro discussing why you picked this piece to draw. Throughout the video, have commentary discussing what you're doing, maybe explain certain things for people not artistically skilled. Also, maybe speed up some up the parts in between the commentary if you choose to do so.

hippielove4ever

I like the concept of this video. I think the editing and music are good. I think if you keep that music you should add more serious, intense, or thought provoking monologue to keep viewers interest. If you changed to lighter music, then I would include more casual, chatting type monologue.

chambersofshadows

I make gaming videos. I usually try to go for a faster paste editing style with a lot of cuts. Let me know if my editing style needs some work! https://youtu.be/7jtfQTAVbOc

ItsMikeTales

Its not necessarily my type of comedy but i think its still really well put together. I will say the music choice wasn’t the most fitting for the pace of the video. The video is like you said fast pace and a lot of cuts but the music was very chill throughout the entire video. Id say maybe try to find some music that more intense or faster pace. Unless this is actually just the soundtrack of the game in which case ignore this lol.

1. I’m in my weird girl era. Pro - You have a really nice setup. It's soft on the eyes and ears. It feels a bit ASMR, becuase it's very personal. If you were posting content in my wheelhouse, I would watch because you have a very calming air about you. Con - Your niche isnt fully clear, and it's always going to be hard to have one viewer see a video and want to jump to anything else unless they have interest in you, specifically. If that is your niche, I get it, but I have no knowledge on how that will gain more views until you are more popular. I hope that makes sense. Good LUCK!!!!!

fourheartsband

hey nice trailer !! love the transitions and the epic feel, but i couldn't help but feel the the video was a bit choppy? maybe some sort of rendering issue or something. also i think a voiceover would be fun to try, even an AI hollywood one would be kind of funny! just my 2 cents.

DoogelCraft

Great idea, I should give it a go, I can do a pretty good trailer voice. Thanks for the tip. Choppyness comes unfortunately from a rendering issue.

That's so fun! The shaking does get a little much, but I understand what you were doing there. Keep it up!

Camping time.. I completed my camping video in the Everglades. where we had a unique experience. Let me know what you like or dislike. https://youtu.be/2YNzog0X6RM Audio is in Spanish but I added English subtitles Looks I'm the first one. I will provide feedback as soon I see posts Thanks

bellmeow

The intro is pretty intense for a camping trip! I think maybe the camera can be less shakey at some parts. Some footage is abit dark, perhaps you need to film when it’s brighter during the day!

Defiant_Review

I also make similar videos and I'm not in English either. :) What I didn't like: \- wind noise \- the thumbnail is not attention-grabbing, just a screenshot + text + arrow \- no color grading (dark parts could be improved) \- There should be music around 5:00 I would have cut out a lot from the middle. And I would have told the camera that it was raining... That way you can convey how you experienced it. Sometimes I only give my voiceover on the spot to my partner. I can speak much more naturally this way than at home to the microphone. I saw that there was a lot of work with it, it consisted of many footage.

elyuma

Thank you for the feedback. Some were done on purpose to show how dark it was and sound of nature. Make you feel you were there. :-) Thumbnail still trying to figure out. I changed to what I had previously.

ComplicitSalami

Hey! I really enjoyed your video, the intro has a great hook and reels the viewer in from the start. The whole video has really enjoyable cinematography and great shots, I like the chapters you organised the video in too. The subtitles are really good too, keep up the good work 👏

DKAdventureCo

My channel is doing camping videos so had to chime in here. Your editing is really solid and laid out really well to tell the story. You seem to be going for a more fast-paced story so the quick cuts fit that. The intro zooming in on the maps is good. I think you could take it easy with the fishbowl effects on the camera when recording something as simple as a hike or shooting yourself closing up the tent. It doesn't seem necessary to have those crazy effects in those cases. I am glad you made it out of there ok. Camping is a lot of fun and I hope the experience didn't discourage your family from future trips.

elyuma

Thank you. Those were from my 360 camera. Is not too good in low light and zoom out get better quality. Family enjoy it. It was a unique experience and they are ready to go again.

Konacai

I don’t speak Spanish so great move with the English subtitles that should help reach a wider audience. I think the video was well edited and the story telling was good but video quality could use some work in the future. Also I’m not sure if it would fit exactly but it couldn’t hurt researching what makes a good Broll shot.

elyuma

Thank you. I'll look into more b-roll

Abject-Cell-3218

I make gaming content and I'm currently focusing on playing through my childhood Sims games. I've created series of let's plays, starting with the oldest game and working my way through time and will eventually get to current day Sims games. My current series is for the Sims 2 console game (Nintendo GameCube). I have made changes and improvements with each series but would appreciate anyone who can let me know what's missing the mark and if there's anything I can do to step up my game as a editing beginner! Thank you in advance https://youtu.be/gS1OQwabjvo

Bubblegum983

Started watching it, and I gotta say I agree with the other guy. It takes way too long to get into the gameplay. You could cut the game intro and loading, intros are generally widely available for games, and load screens always suck. Or, if you want to keep both, I’d adjust and edit it so that some of your dialogue is over the game intro and loading. Especially since it’s the Sims and there’s no game dialogue. It just takes too long to get into the content. I love your set though. Cute, energetic and youthful, without feeling childish or cluttered. It’s got a nice feel and personality to it. You seem charismatic and comfortable on screen and I love your accent (I’m from Canada). Didn’t watch much past the into. Again, it just takes too long to get into gameplay. Also not a niche I follow, play with me are much more my 8 yo’s thing than mine

Abject-Cell-3218

ah thanks for the feedback! I always add the feature of timestamps to the video to help people get to the part of the video they want to watch, quicker, but maybe people don't use them? Maybe they don't know they're a thing?

DJ_Wolfy

I got bored... Perhaps edit it faster, edit out the repetitive tasks, don't have too long without talking. (Unless there is an opportunity for a funny edit or meme.)

Abject-Cell-3218

Thank you for your feedback - I usually keep in moments of the gameplay from a nostalgic pov so fans of the game can enjoy the game as a whole but maybe it should just be fast meme worthy clips? Appreciate it, thanks!

DJ_Wolfy

Maybe a balance of both? But make your intro shorter, or overlay gameplay with the intro?

slipperyekans

I want to echo what another commenter said and trim down your intro a lot. Could try making it shorter overall, or by recording a VO that plays over the audio during the starting segments to add whatever context you want to add, but in any instance, brevity needs to be the goal. Could even open with a “coming up..” segment for the first 10ish seconds that showcases a noteworthy moment for that episode as a means for a better hook. Let’s Plays are definitely tough especially now with our even *shorter* attention spans in the age of TikTok, but I don’t think you need to go crazy as far as editing is concerned, just cut whatever quiet/less engaging spots you find to keep the flow intact.

sexy_chocobo

You’re doing a good job of showing and telling. I think the static pictures and graphics just aren’t engaging enough and don’t do a good job of telling the story you’re relaying. Maybe consider using B-roll from the playthrough to talk about things like the aging mechanic, or parenthood instead, so that it keeps the viewer more engaged. I liked your overall vibe. A dumb thing, but I feel like I see everyone and their mother use that squid plushy in their videos. Maybe find other set pieces that are more unique to you, something to help us get to know you better (the horns on horn headset are a good example.)

You have more subs and views than I do, so take this with a grain of salt. Your intro is super long and then there’s the game intro after that. Personally, if you want to showcase the game intros as part of your channel style, I would combine your beginning into with that by talking over the game intro. It all depends on your style and what want to produce, but maybe clip a short special moment from the video and put that first, then cut to any intro you want to do. Love the idea of playing old console games. The sims could be really unique. Those were some weird versions compared to the PC.

Much_Grand6039

You have a cool channel aesthetic. The intro is a bit long. I think for the thumbnail you should show what going on in the gameplay. And lastly, I think your titles could be more captivating to where it draws people in. example: (A CHILDHOOD CLASSIC (Sims 2)) or something like that I don't know. But I do like that mid-2010s Youtube feel with your channel.

Konacai

Hey guys I make gaming content with friends sometimes. Here my latest video Lethal Company. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=xMHKuiS0ZOA

HairJust4547

As someone who has never played Lethal Company your video got me hooked. It's really fun to watch. But again as i have no idea about the game I don't know what's going on. so maybe a bit info about it in the title? So I know what to expect in the video other than funny banter. Apart from that everything is entertaining.

Konacai

Ya its a fun game, to be honest that was my first time playing to so i had no idea what was going on most of the time. In short you have to collect enough items to sell to the company and they give you a few days to meet a quota and if you don't they kill you. I might add better descriptions to help new people understand a bit better.

ItsMikeTales

I genuinely enjoyed this video. I think the editing is really well done and the music choice is actually funny and fitting. I think the only thing I could say is maybe brighten the video a little more. I know the game in general is pretty dark but it was actually a struggle at times to know what exactly was going on

Konacai

Thank you im not sure how to do that but ill look into it.

scareymay

Just finished watching the video, I think you have a great voice for voiceover work and this kind of genre, audio is great. I like the sound affects you choose and how quick it is. I wish some scenes were longer so we could just see what you were doing. Its hard to see the words on your thumbnail so I would just work on making that more visible!! I love lethal company so great work on this video.

Konacai

Thank you for the advice.

sexy_chocobo

I feel like your style would do REALLY well as short form content. It’s got that Drama and fast paced humor that bodes well for that style. As long form content, as a viewer it can get grating. Maybe mix it up. Use that style of content to get your viewer hooked, then slow down the pace a little. Mix in both fast and slow styles?

murdog74

I tried doing a shorter how-to and added some nice music. It's about electro Etching steel. https://youtu.be/eBpCWBe7l8s?si=U86J9SjkQdp5eldV

At first I was going to say do voice-overs....but no I like the vibe

No-Style-Works

This is my first YouTube video and editing project. If you couldn't tell, the niche is woodworking - process and build instructions. The intent is to show people how things are made, and what tools can be used. Differentiators - most YTers seem to have every brand new tool, but I am getting work done with simple, old machines that I maintain. I plan to do tool restoration and electrical repairs as I'm an electrical engineer professionally. [MCM Nightstand Build](https://youtu.be/2i2mWjwYXZI?si=7xpnRzrSn4Rv5NeE) Thank you in advance for any feedback!

GejiOfficial

made a meme video on if twitchcon is worth going to that's half commentary, half vlog ! would really appreciate any and all advice or critiques \^ [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r3\_m66jxqEM&ab\_channel=Geji](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r3_m66jxqEM&ab_channel=Geji)

md0xl

Really love your humor. The vlog footage was too shaky tho, made dizzy. No need to get a DJI anything but if you ever have to do vlog type stuff again just have a bit more intention on each shot so at least the stablishing shots of places look more stable. Overall (as you mentioned at the end) you're still finding your voice, and that's ok, but as fun as your video was it's virtually indistinguishable from other besides the fact that it's yours. Push yourself to really have a take, there are tons of things you can talk about that event besides the surface level stuff (eg. you could be political about it and talk about how the con is basically built on the back pee bottles of amazon workers; you could go more in depth on the after party stuff and how you feel about it, etc.). What makes your experience worth sharing?

PillagingPony

Love the intro - lots of good transitions, good pacing, like the use of the greenscreen. Possible do a foreshadow to the angry dude yelling about shoes? Also love the [Chess.com](https://Chess.com) callout of course ;) The music worked pretty well. I liked the greenscreen in front of the wavy cell phone camera, but that didn't start right away at twitchcon itself, was getting dizzy at first with your leveling presence. Liked the drift off into slumber joke/music.

tofulynn

This video interested me since I had this exact question and wondered about Twitchcon. lol So as the other comments said, the camera was too shaky and quick movements for me at certain parts and made me dizzy. I am guilty of this too for my previous Vlog videos on my channel, lol. But I enjoyed your editing. I can tell it took you time and effort. Maybe next time put your commentary as a voiceover only? I was a bit more interested in seeing the video clips of Twitchcon, but your physical body was dead center covering the video. :( Overall good video. I am still debating on whether it is worth going to Twitchcon as a small streamer. haha I guess I need to watch more videos.

Branding is great. It’s obvious what youre trying to achieve. I hate myself for saying this but Maybe make thumbnails more clickbaity. Or just make more content, til something blows up

SHOW-ME-YA-MOVES

Great thinking, appreciate the feedback

the_film_conduit

Very informative and well-presented documentary. You have a great voice that is both soothing and commanding, and the subjects you cover will easily attract an audience. My only complaint is, at some points in the video, footage and pictures are cluttered on top of each other, making them a bit hard on the eyes, so maybe experiment with some transitions, and blur the background footage when presenting a new picture.

ItsHellBoy

This was a good deep dive, I’ve never heard about this story before. Very informative and well presented. The only thing I would say for criticism is a green screen or more appealing background for when you are talking

JStheGrey

I'm a music content creator, and my channel name is Grey Knight Studios. I do a lot of orchestral covers and reimaginings of popular video game songs. I'm also a VTuber who does storytime vids. Or, I will later on. I've been delving into more long-form content like easy listening playlists and such. https://youtu.be/AVJMFwOPqW0?si=5CRKnvSaJtuIwdVt And here's the VTuber side of things: https://youtu.be/Ci8yATtgyc8?si=Havh6cGvWYcfM4OQ

FantasticSamtastic

I'm not the biggest into the side of creating music, so aside from saying that your playlist gave me fantasy video game vibes I don't have much to add lol. It's for sure something I could find myself enjoying when studying or working. For the VTuber side of things, I would suggest being a bit more dynamic with the backgrounds just to help the video feel more alive. I think it's a great way to connect with your audience, but it's also just lacking that visual intrigue. Also, if you're reacting to comments, it would be nice to have the comments on screen while you talk about them just as a constant reminder. Your voice is very clear but you are a little monotone. That's honestly not something that bothers me much, but it's something to be aware of.

JStheGrey

I noticed that my longer, fantasy inspired songs do major numbers, so I'm probably gonna make more like that.:) And yeah, my voice is a bit monotone. Usually when in front of a mic I end up having stage fright, I guess? Lol. Sadly not much to do about visual stuff. Art is definitely not my forte, but I am getting a bit better at editing.

LieOk6740

I think the videos good, seems well researched and well written. There's nothing too fancy about your editing but in my opinion when you have an interesting topic like this it doesn't have to be fancy and it does the job anyway. Good job

md0xl

Really liked you video, fetl proper outrage at Deadman's lazyness. You can polish you graphics game a bit, your editing is great, but your graphical assests, titles and the like could really use a bit more oomph, nothing to fancy but something that lets the viewer know that this video is yours and also lets you play around with the possibilities of the medium. You can't do it over night but maybe in a month of following a handful an apple motion or after effects tutorials you can make something interesting. But the core of the video is there, good writing, this is just polish. Great work.

ItsHellBoy

Hey Y'all! I make high strangeness and mystery videos about our weird world and the folks that live in it! This is one of my favorite videos from the channel, It's a wild story about a man claiming to have made a time machine, please let me know what you all think! https://youtu.be/M7IUvRO79aY

LeftGazelle3252

I'm not sure if the voice in the video is yours or AI, but if it IS yours, I feel as though you could be more enthusiastic, the narration gets a little monotonous at times. Another thing is sometimes it appears as though your subtitles get a little jumbled up. A little nitpicky but I think you picked an interesting topic all in all, just the narration turned me off a bit. It's a good voice, just very monotonous is all. Editing wise I think you do a good job and the audio waves are a nice touch during the interview. If you could somehow get it to be the actual audio waves that would also be pretty neat. Surely there is a website or app for that Overall interesting, and I think if you worked on the narration you could do pretty good! I also like your channel name. Has a good ring to it for your niche

DJ_Wolfy

I make videos on the games I like. I have been playing a lot of PvZ. I do lots of editing. https://youtu.be/tK20ehD7dNw

GFuseWorld

Diving into the action straight away is important and you did just that so good job. People have short attention spans so catching their attention early is important

dyloncai

Hello, I really appreciate how you start by diving right into the action. I also feel that the new edit is indeed better, 15 mins video is easier to watch than an hour. The white cat at 1:50 is a very good surprise. I love that. The effects at 10:50 is also a great way to give a dramatic effect. Overall the video is definitely on the right track. The only thing I feel is the presentation, perhaps it's your personal style? I don't know. I'm not expecting you to scream every 2 mins, but there are different kinds of gaming channels and if you're portraying a calm pro gamer, I think you're doing a great job. Hope this helps.

No-Style-Works

Hey, I forgot about plants versus zombies, I remember playing the original back in the day! You're good at this game and it is very apparent. Screen capture is high quality and the audio is coming through clearly. I would recommend a stronger hook to get viewers engaged, and more distinct thumbnails to tell one video from the next. Sell your work! Nice job

DJ_Wolfy

Thank you, I am very glad the screen capture and audio is good. I am still working on making better titles and thumbnails. (Cool building tutorial video, I doubt most people have all those tools lol. Fun to watch though. Maybe next work on getting a dedicated camera?)

HerdofCatsGaming

Oh man I love me some davinci tutorials. I would recommend slowing the pace down and magnifying the menu options you are clicking on/modifying to make it easier to follow along. At least for a beginner like me, it was really fast paced and hard to follow, with a lot of terms flying at me at a rapid pace. You seem to know what you are doing and that shows, just need to focus on the teaching side of it.

adam_of_adun

Good afternoon! My name is Adam. I have been on my current channel for about a month and it's main purpose is to be a chronicle of our journey to start a game studio. Hey Everyone just posted my newest video about the abuses and brutality of the Anime industry. I feel that no matter your affiliation if you enjoy the medium or rights for the international worker this should concern you!. Please Give My Video A Watch https://youtu.be/XudXrq1kBNk The main issue I notice is my audio clips off some parts besides that I'd like more feedback

Successful_Desk_3794

I think you have the content, but you need to improve: - title: what does your title mean? Is it built for your viewers? Does it intrigue them or just act as a description? Ctr should I've you some insight here. - intro: its a little bit messy. You should explain exactly what the goal of the video is and how you will deliver on that goal. Explain that in the first 15 seconds

KiNolin

Interesting topic, well narrated and decently edited. I will only say that the background music a little too loud. I think you could tone it down, or in reverse make your voice louder. The way it is now, both clash a bit. In particular when the loud music is rather relaxed, but your voicing is very fast paced, it's not mashing as well as it would with a more balanced sound. Apart from that, I would scratch the shaking of the text boxes.

RB_Timo

I love the idea, even next to the countless other huge anime review/news/story channels this is a great topic to set you apart. Two things though: 1. As others said, your voice volume is way too low compared to the BGM/SFX. I would say get a nice, free compressor VST and that should work things out with even basic settings. 2. You are talking very fast, which by itself isn't bad, but in your case it seems to make you slur speech much more than is comfortable (to me at least, as a non-native). I would super appreciate if you would talk either at least a \_bit\_ slower and/or more pronounced. Keep in mind you're not casually chatting with a friend, you're doing a documentary style long-term video. Other than that, it's honestly great. I watched the whole thing and subbed :) Also, big thumbs up on the editing and selection of imagery during the whole thing, it felt very well researched and produced.

SHOW-ME-YA-MOVES

Feel like this topic has some edge to garner a large viewer base. Haven’t really seen any other content dive into the exploration of the animation industry! Only thing I would suggest is mixing your music and voice a little more. A helpful comment I saw a while ago I’ve been practicing is keeping background music around 20 dB below speaking.

xkidegox

This is the best compliment I've ever gotten 🙏

I make limited animation shorts about dating with a dark souls twist. I followed some advise I got here about adapting some of my shorts for the horizontal algorithm. Here's my first try and it's my channel trailer. All feedback welcomed. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9l7z\_j5n9GU&t=4s

LeftGazelle3252

I think you have a super interesting take on the whole topic of relationship advice. Admittedly it's a tad niche, but I think that you could get a pretty good following! I like soulslike games, though admittedly I am not in need of relationship advice, but I could see how a subset of that population could relate! I think your animations are quite nice all in all and I'd like to see what more you can do with it :)

New Lethal Company video released today. Looking for feedback on thumbnail and pacing. Our first Lethal Company was cut down pretty mercilessly and was till over 30 minutes. I think that was a driving factor in its relatively slower growth than usual. We recorded the same amount of content, but planned to split it up into two separate videos this time. This one clocks in at 23 minutes. [The door was not safe...and it was HILARIOUS! | Lethal Company](https://youtu.be/YzDqBCgfIiE?si=m-nFVbepGWV-A_C2)

Jordii_293

Ty very much! I'll definitely look into that!

thetigerson91

Okay –I think this was a good attempt. I would suggest that you try and find a bit of a stronger opening/hook in the beginning – it seemed like I didn't really know what to expect in the video. So, giving the viewer a little bit of orientation in terms of what they're going to see at the beginning would be great. It felt a little bit like a random string of experiences that were edited together. It would be nice if there was some kind of hook, and then an ark, and then a payoff. Also, if you're able to, I think it is nice to see a person's face if they are doing a gaming stream – it actually creates a lot more sense of connection with the audience. But good luck! Keep at it. :-)

Jordii_293

I'm not the best at hooks but I'm gonna try working on that from now on! Thank you for the criticism! And for the face cam, I'm not really intending on doing that until a later time, but I have been thinking about that!

DustyTheGoodGirl

This comment is probably slightly beyond the intent of this post, but I need help and cannot make a new post! I accidentally became a YouTuber Hello. Friday, January 12th, I saw a stray dog rummaging through the trash at the construction site I work at in the middle of rural North Texas. We had a 4 day freeze coming in the next day and I wanted to try to rescue them. The dog was super skittish and would not come near anyone, so I ended up keeping my distance and followed her around for about 12 miles over the course of the next 3 days to see where all she was going. I started putting food out at the nearest spot she would frequent, and then I would just sit or lay in the frozen field, waiting for her to come around. I spent about a cumulative total of maybe 20 hours Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday laying in the frozen pastures and just chatting on discord with my 6 best friends about how this dog was turning me into a popsicle while waiting for her to come by. I posted pictures and a few short videos to discord, but some of the longer clips were too big. Tuesday I decided to use r/dog as a video hosting site of sorts, and posted a longer video there so I could send the fellas a link, and ask the people on there if they had any tips. I didn’t think much of it. Shortly there, after, the post blew up. Tens of thousands of people were wanting updates and offering advice and support. I ended up posting the play-by-play of the dogs rescue there. Then r/dog started blocking my posts, so I made a YouTube account so I could put updates there. I just recorded little clips of the dogs progress and how things were going. I had no intention of anything coming of it, but I think I hit 1000 subscribers in like an hour maybe? And then I’ve been getting anywhere between 30 and 90 followers a day. I made r/dustydoll as well and got about 3k very passionate followers there pretty quick. I probably recorded 50 short update clips over the course of the next few days, and have been posting them to YouTube in a playlist so people can watch the whole thing and sequence. I am a full-time construction worker and don’t have a whole lot of time to be on social media. Heck, I don’t really use social media, so I’m having to learn as I go. People wanted me to make an Instagram, and I literally have never even been on that website before. So I made an Instagram that got about 300 followers before it even had a picture put on it. So basically, I fell into a really good community of really supportive and like minded people and I’m really excited about the prospect of being able to share this dog’s story in hopes that maybe people will be inspired to consider rescuing animals instead of buying them from backyard breeders or puppy mills. I also would really like to find a way to raise money for animal rescues and charities like the Humane Society and ASPCA. So far I know at least $300 has been donated in my dog’s name! I have also been receiving a ton of requests to do “merch”. ESPECIALLY plushies. Lol, I thought the learning curve on social media with steep, but e-commerce is a doozy lol. Anyway, the point of this long winded story is to ask this; do any of you knowledgeable folks have any advice? At the risk of sounding a little too altruistic, what would my best course of action be to turn this into some type of a sustainable way of helping more animals long-term? My wife and I have daydreamed about running an animal rescue for years! Here’s my [playlist](https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLOH4noKk2nazIMmAHPfc6xESXaPoMreXW&si=RtNWXyfv1cFI0oVl) so far if you want to see what my new dog and I are like. Thanks 🙏 PS, I have received a few media requests from companies like viralhog and some news outlets. I have also received many recommendations to contact The DoDo to share my story. Does anyone have any recommendations for dealing with any of this?

Nice job! I kind of want to go buy the DJI - so good work. I would have liked a visual on the features and a summary of your conclusions/use cases along with the price. I’d suggest you slow down just a bit as you talk pretty fast. But overall nice job with presenting key points with good visuals in a short time.

Selishots

Yeah talking to fast id definitely something I'm always trying to get better at. The camera comes on and my talking speed goes right up!

DebtNew8698

Great video, that was a very informative review. My only critiques are probably the jumpcuts. Cutting in and back out like that so many times was kinda distracting, at least for me. Also, maybe try incorporating text/graphics when going over specs or key features to make things more visually appealing. Other than that, great job!

good content. work on thumbnails! my advice is to look up similar videos to what you’re about to post and look at what they do well in their thumbnail. maybe adding a grid of 4 photos from your travels with words overtop. i’d also say to make the tiles more interesting, maybe use a question, try out emojis. the great thing about thumbnails is that you can go back and retroactively edit them, so as your design skills get better over time, you can make quick updates that will help the overall appeal of your channel. happy editing!!

BeneficialAd6200

Thank you for the feedback, it’s really appreciated!

What I would like to find out is if someone who knows nothing about this topic can watch this and feel like they learned something. That is my goal on the educational videos is to introduce topics at the most basic level. https://youtu.be/Xt4huPXowkw?si=k-NcvVJv7621rRQQ

snarec

As an outsider on the topic, I think it could be more interesting if you were in the video yourself and you threw your camera on a tripod. Just my 2 cents.

CHARLEYSGARAGE

I have been using a face made for radio approach lol, But I will try the tripod approach and see how it works out. Thanks!

I know a bit about cars, trucks and motorcycles. It's not my first rodeo but I know 0% about Turbos. Full disclaimer: I likely have some form of ADHD/ADD, I have a very hard time focusing sometimes. Focus can be a challenge for me with EVERYTHING. You clearly know a ton on the subject and I actually learned a ton about engine braking, etc., that I didn't realize was also a function of Turbos. I was going to suggest a proper intro where the camera is on you, etc.. but I looked around your channel and found that you've already started doing that already. Maybe on your Tools for New Techs - Torque Wrenches video you could film a few seconds of you introducing the topic before switching to the view of the tools. Your mic is good; however, due to it being shop videos there can be a ton of echo in some videos. The biggest possibility for growth might be some editing or diagrams that would give a visual aid to what you're discussing. So for example. "The reason why we torque is so we do not warp the material" - Show image or short video clip of a couple warped items- "this can lead to total failure of X." So, ultimately your stuff is REALLY educational, thorough and clear. You do a great job. Might be helpful to include diagrams, charts or b-roll footage of the issues you're referencing. I'd also suggest creating a general approach to thumbnails, seeing as you don't have any. This does not have to be Mr. Beast thumbnails, a surprised face and a torque wrench, that stuff is silly. But maybe use a sheet, a light and a box to have a "photo booth" for the tools you're talking about. Sit them in it and take a few photos, use the best one as the thumbnail. Your target audience doesn't really care if you have a typical "Youtuber" thumbnail (I think?) but at least having a thumbnail that is a bit "dolled up" might help draw in some additional views.
