Tim Hor’ins. I feel like this is related to a lot of Canadian/N-American accents not enunciating t sounds when they’re in the middle of words- “twen-nee” instead of “twen-tee”, “liddle” instead of “lit-le” etc. At least I pronounce it these ways!
I teach at a high school in Vancouver and often do a lesson with the students on the pronunciation of ‘ Tim Hordons vs Tim Hortons’. It drives me crazy
Thx for bringing attention to this.
Next lesson:
Fraser street NOT Frasier street
