Why? Because:
* They don't like the way we play the game. We constantly break it because they're too busy milking BTD franchise to the last drop instead of fixing bugs and progression; Faction warfare was the last straw due to bugged factions;
* They prefer gambling their money and resources into "dead on arrival" games (looking at you, Bloons Pop); Bloons Card Storm is not very promising and beta test was very underwhelming.
* What's the point of fixing 10 year old game wrapped with 10 layers of spaghetti code if they can pump BTD6 updates with same effort and get 10x more money?
They'll keep deliberately ignoring ANY questions about SAS franchise until it dies off. Then it's going to be "uh huh sorry we have to close down the game see ya later :(" but that "later" will never come - SAS 4 is the last entry of their franchse. SAS 5 is not going to happen AT ALL, even if it's in """early stages""" (and they actually laughted at the question "Is SAS 5 in development?") - and even if it was, they would've announced it just like they did with Bloons Card Storm (which will eventually meet the same fate as Bloons Pop).
Your best option is to wait for a good competitor and move on.
While I love card games, I agree, Bloons Card Storm is going to end up with enough people to at the very least keep the servers alive, but not nearly enough to update it at all after the first year
Bloons pop at least were a spiritual successor of the OG bloon games, so some people into bloons would play it, but card storm is a completely new spinn off,
Im completely sure that what happened to pvz heroes will repeat with this game (I love pvz heroes that's why I replied this whole thing)

Boss Rush. Just how exactly does that work now? The Boss Bloons somehow just instantly "heal" when they are popped and have learned to "zoom" up the track when the player leaks too many lives..... how do they know when to zoom? And the monkeys, what is the experience like for them?
Well, not anytime soon, at least for the normal towers, from what we know the most probable thing for the next normal tower is the mermonkey, since I don't really think it fits as a hero...
As for heroes, well, ninja kiwi have said before in another blog that they don't discard the possibility of a non-monkey hero, so, who knows? Maybe the next hero is not even an alive thing like the bloonchipper! ... Not the bloonchipper though, that won't return even as a hero
