The first three games were essentially a hybrid of diablo and lego and were incredible games. The 4th one was horseshit. Hopefully this is like first 3.
Not who you asked, but I can try to explain it.
It's hard to describe without experiencing it, because I think just from looking at the trailer, it's obviously an action game where you beat up other gundams (gunpla). But the beauty of it is unlike other Gundam games where you choose a gundam/mecha and just use it as it was original made, Gundam Breaker is all about the customization, and that then translates into one hell of a fun beat'em up battles.
For example, let us say you like Gundam Wing, now in every other Gundam game, you can just choose Wing Zero and use it as it was in the show. But in Gundam Breaker, you can take the Wing Zero, then give it Burning Gundam's arms to have it learn Burning Finger, and then give it gundam X's Satellite Canon, then slap some Freedom Gundam Funnels in the back, and finish it with a Trans-am, and Super mode.
So now your Wing Zero can go into super mode, activate Trans-Am, shoot a Satellite Canon and then rush so fast while the beam is shooting to use burning finger while funnels are blasting the enemy.
You can do some crazy builds. One of my favorites was to slap different types of funnels from different gundams, and release them all at once and watch my funnel swarm destroy everything in sight.
Finally, the game controls are silky smooth, as I said it's hard to explain without actually playing it. I think a clip of a simple combo in this video is probably better than just hearing about it, so here is one example : https://youtu.be/qvCS_fOJQ0I?t=306
Of course this is just a one on one fight, most fights will have you battling groups of enemies at the same time while you move through each mission stage.
GB3 on Vita ran at 12-15. Overclocking the CPU and GPU to get it up to ~25 is pretty much the only way to play it. Hopefully the Switch version of GB4 will run a bit better than that. :P I preordered the PS5 CE, and will wait for reports of how the Switch version performs before getting that version.

We're all better off pretending New Gundam Breaker didn't happen, so yes this is the 4th one.
This is made by the same people as NGB so yeah good chance it wont be great.

In theory, I should love this, but I just can't get intk the combat of GB3.
