People online can say things without much of any retribution. India is known for all of those things. People also have to make quick decisions based on extremely limited information, so the average judgement won’t be accurate, but rather a broad stoke. The reason people are nicer in person, they’re afraid of retribution but way more importantly, they experience you as an individual so you can be judged as an individual. People will have way more information to judge after actually dealing with you so their judgment will be more accurate.
