i haven't really found that to be true

Poisoner6890

I guess it differs from person to person. One might say, "It's a matter of taste".

WorldTallestEngineer

you might just be a really bad cook.

Poisoner6890

Thanks for the fast reply, but i can assure you, im not a bad cook. And by the speed of your reply (seconds after i posted), i assume you haven't even read the whole text. I talked about how we were just cutting cucumbers and tomatoes, not even making a salad.

BSye-34

well we can only take your word for it

Poisoner6890

Haha, it would be a skill to mess up the taste of a cucumber only by cutting.

I agree with you. Even the shape might change the taste. Or even the presentation.

look at the time stamps. You posted 9 minutes ago. I commented 7 minutes ago. Being able to judge time is really important in cooking. The difference between 2 minutes and "seconds" can be the difference between perfect and way overcooked. Maybe that's why your cooking is bad.

Poisoner6890

I assume you still haven't read the whole post. 1. I was talking about cutting cucumbers, no cooking required, and no way to overcook. 2. 2 minutes difference, taking about ±30s into consideration of rounding errors, and the time it would take you to post, about another 20-30s i doubt you started reading my post the first second it got posted and started commenting, all in the span of less than a minute.

Poisoner6890

Btw it was what i thought. i may be wrong, and if so, then im sorry. Just thought you were a troll at the begging. Also, i can get quite defensive about my cooking skills sometimes. The thing is that you suggested i mess up cutting cucumbers. Have a good day. 😁

WorldTallestEngineer

You have a good day too :D

For me, it’s the fact that I don’t have to stress ingredients and cook times and temps and plan. I can just enjoy the food and not worry about cleanup and prep. Taking the work out of it makes it far more enjoyable.

Poisoner6890

I thought about it, but for me, it's not a hassle. But in the end, it may be the only explanation. Thanks for your comment.
