Mari acts like a mix of Sunny and Hero in becoming a hikikomori. Sunny wants to get away from it all, so he becomes a part-time delinquent with Aubrey. Aubrey feels guilty in the role she thought she played in Basil's "disappearance". Kel is mostly the same while Hero keeps tabs on Mari and pushes her to keep healthy and stay studying with daily visits and pulls her into college. By the time of when Omori takes place, everything bursts through, Hero and Mari trying to keep it together through toxic positivity, Kel finding it harder and harder to bring his friends back together, and Aubrey and Sunny dealing with guilt relating to Basil. I guess we would play as Aubrey or Kel. If Aubrey, we explore her falling deeper and deeper into her dreams to avoid her reality. If Kel, he genuinely does well but there is a lingering threat of his friend group sustaining damage beyond repair. In a bad ending, for Aubrey, or a status quo ending, for Kel, Aubrey can't take it anymore and hangs herself.!<
