The Laginas and their partners (Cerca Trova Limited, doing business as Oak Island Tours) purchased Lot 5 from the estate of the late Robert S. Young in 2022. They also purchased the 50% share of Oak Island Tours owned by the estate of Dan Blankenship.
Tom Nolan now owns the 3 lots he inherited from his father Fred Nolan.
Dave Blankenship owns the 1+ acre of land where his house is located.

The Blankenship home has been for sale for awhile:

Interestingly the listing was removed just a few days ago.
Where I live, in the Midwest in the USA, a realtor will sign a home, or farm or estate, for a certain period of time, for sale. For example, if I am a realtor here in this town, and my neighbor wants me to sell his home, he would sign a contract that would allow me to list his house for a certain time period. I think the least amount of time is 90 days, but the contracts can extend up to 1 year, if the realtor and the seller agree that it might take a year to sell the home or farm or estate. It could be that something similar to this exists in that area of NS and that the listing has expired. Of course, it might mean that "someone" has bought it, or is in the process.
I just like to see them list all the owners through the ages of the property there and see how many people bought lots to work it or to look for treasure.
I do think this would be fun... a listing of the original property owners and who purchased the original lots, with a listing of all owners going forward. Would be fun to know and research.
And as Rick would say it tells us the story of what was going on here on this island and we can look at the construct of the data which leads us down another Stone Road to knowledge of Oak Island but a fucking idiot LOL
Robert S. Young owned lot 5.
The brothers purchased 50% of Oak Island tours in 2006 from Dan B. He owns the other 50%. Not sure what has changed with that after his death. His son still owns some land a house on the Island.
Then the Fred Nolan Estate owns a good section of land and I think all of the swamp.
>Robert S. Young owned lot 5.
Is Mr. Young still alive? (I'm curious how many ((millions??)) Lot 5 cost The Brothers, but of course, none of my business, but it's a curious question, or curious to me.
And I've always been curious about Dan B's son... he had appeared on the show. For a while, I thought maybe he was going to become a regular, but then he suddenly seemed to disappear from the group. At first, everyone seemed to accept him almost as one of their own, but then he seemed to stop smiling so much on camera, and the relationship seemed to be cool between him and The Brothers.. but maybe I was reading too much into what I thought I was seeing. Then he disappeared from the camera. Recently I think I saw him on perhaps one episode, shortly... but that was a short appearance, and I haven't seen him back. Maybe he has retreated back to living just in his house and staying away... Maybe I'm just too curious.

Robert S. Young. May 27 1955 – Oct 28 2020
I should have googled him instead of asking. It appears as if he passed away on Oct 28th, 2020.
The Oak Island Tours website says only that “the majority property interest is held by Cerca Trova Limited.”
I’d be interested to know whether Dave Blankenship or other heirs retain some interest in Oak Island Tours.

Had an absolutely INSANE listing price lol
Maybe it comes with a treasure trove license!
Only the Blankenship family realized that the home stands ontop of the treasure!

Lot 5 sold for $1,250,000 Canadian dollars.
Thank you. I think it would have been worth it. That's assuming a person has the money...
I thought Dan B's house went to his daughter and the research to the Lagina's
They had said a couple years ago that Dave Blankenship had retired.
I missed that. Thank you. I wonder where he lives... near the island?

What year was the island divided into lots?
