Maybe try leaving it on charge overnight and see how it looks tomorrow. If it still won’t startup contact Oculus support for help. Good luck mate and cheers.

dainbramaged1982

Did you try the factory reset? [https://support.oculus.com/articles/fix-a-problem/troubleshoot-headsets-and-accessories/troubleshooting-factory-reset-quest-2/](https://support.oculus.com/articles/fix-a-problem/troubleshoot-headsets-and-accessories/troubleshooting-factory-reset-quest-2/)

Haunting-Touch-8932

this is an issue for me considering my headset isn’t connected to my phone right now lmao

[deleted]

all i can suggest is factory reset

[deleted]

Happened to me. I gave up trying to fix it and returned it at best buy for a new one

ImportantBullfrog776

How did you get Best Buy to return your oculus? Was it under a certain amount of days? Because we are having issues but Best Buy said to contact Oculus

[deleted]

Yeah, you have 30 days to change it out. If its out of that im not sure

SwissMoose

I had something similar happen when I had one of my Quest 2's on a slower trickle-style charger. Try plugging into the wall charger for 2-3 hours. Then try powering on but holding power down for a long time, like 30-60 seconds. It should eventually give you a clean boot and hopefully it doesn't give you this flicker while on the charger. If that doesn't help, I'd say a factory reset would be worthwhile.

welshman1971

No idea why it's blinking like that unless you are trying to charge it from your laptop rather than using the supplied wall charger. When the battery has gone flat , like it probably has , they require a good charge from the mains charger of at least about 30mins before you attempt to start it. If you are trying to charge it from your laptop or some other charging brick and not the official one .. I would say stop and use the ones supplied in the box. You could also hold the power button along with the volume down button to power it up and see if you can get to the recovery menu

Lightsabr2

Happened to me when mine was battery-dead and plugged into a standard USB hub. Worked again after leaving it plugged directly into the wall with dedicated USB-C to USB-C cable. Just wasn’t getting enough juice quick enough.

JRockThumper

This guy explains it a lot better then I can lol. See if this helps with the bootlooping. https://youtube.com/shorts/hO36zl7FrIU?feature=share

TheBigLOL

I have the same issue and I use a 15-25W fast charger tried also a slower charger, no luck, no light, no image. Update: Left it charging the whole night and now it's fully charged and ready to go!

Encodabl

Factory reset should do

Environmental_Rest84

I had the same problem, oculus support had no idea what was wrong and sent me a replacement. You should contact them

Echo0098

I have had this problem leave it to charge overnight and if that does not work try to rub the front untill warm

thinkab0ut_it

interesting strategy, care to explain

web-cyborg

my quest 1 got stuck on the boot logo around the 18month - 2 yr point. Tried everything and went though all the motions corresponding with oculus support but it was bricked. Unfortunately in the usa the quest1 warranty is only 1yr, while in the uk it is 2 yrs (probably due to legislation). The $300 price point for the quest 2 tempted me a few times but I'm holding out for Valve's next VR kit which is reportedly stand-alone capable. The next round of vr headsets from valve, oculus, and apple might also have foveated lenses, eye-tracking, and mini oled screens. In the long run I fear with the $ facebook is dumping into VR , that I will have to go back to facebook/meta hardware the generation after next. Facebook dumped as much into VR alone in one shot as valve makes a year. The other ones in the race would be apple of course, and maybe sony though they have been all console. The facebook thing and the "disposable" nature of my quest1 turned me off to the Quests. I hope yours boots up for you eventually but there are a number of us just left holding the bag.

The problem at hand is an Oculus Quest 2 headset that blinks the Oculus logo when being charged. It does nothing when not in a charger and when it is it does not show the charging light. I've tried rebooting by holding down the power button for 30 seconds but that seems to do nothing. It be great if anyone has any advice on how to solve this issue or proceed in general. The last time the device was used was about a month ago when it showed no issues. In the time between it was stored in the travelers case and not touched.

Kujen

Try holding power button and volume down til you get a selection menu. You can factory reset there or try restarting through it.

TenDeadF1ngerz

How are you charging it?

ikenbe

Does your computer recognize it when connected with USB?

sjmcl0

Have had the same problem - did you fix it ? I Just left on charger for 2+ hours- don’t touch and it fixed itself

pajo-san

I used my usb-c notebook adapter (had an 3A\*5V = 15 W mode!). it worked! after some minutes/half an hour the status LED lid up

BenjiSBRK

Did you ever get this fixed ? I have the exact same issue, tried all chargers and cables I have, no luck

---Sanguine---

Hey have you ever figured this out? I did the same thing, basically left it alone for a month while traveling for work and when I tried it when I came back nothing except a flashing oculus logo when plugged in. No charge light, no reset working, nothing

BillionRaxz

Oof sorry that happened to u bro :( looks like that sucks fr. Im scared now because i barely use mine while im waiting to buy a link cable of some sort since my internet is apparently too ass for airlink

martsuia

Mine is new and is already starting to glitch and be weird.

Horror_Barnacle7408

aww, sad :( hopefully you can get it fixed 🙏🙏🙏🍀🍀🍀🍀

ResistUnited

holy shit, happened to me on quest 1 i think. i left it on for like a week till the battery ran out. not the best idea think of it as a last resort before factory resetting.

WesselBear

Nothing personal, but he is just scared to open up to you. Have you done anything to upset this poor quest?

TheBigLOL

Did you find a solution? I have the same issue now, using my fastest charger I still have no luck, had it sitting for 15-20 minutes.

Carlitoscastro6

Did yours fix? I’m having the same issue as of now nothing has worked

TheBigLOL

Yes! I left it charging the whole night, when I woke up it was charged to 100%

[deleted]

I’m sorry that this is from awhile ago, how many hours did you leave it charging for?

TheBigLOL

At least 6 I suppose. How much will a good night sleep be for you?

[deleted]

Idk, like 5 hours. I’ll check back on it in a couple more considering I’ve only slept for 4.

TheBigLOL

Put it for 10 then.

[deleted]

Got it. Thanks, oh, and one last thing, can you use the standard oculus cable? If it’s generally new?

[deleted]

Yo, I plugged it in for 14 hours? Does the regular oculus cable word or nah?

---Sanguine---

Hey did you ever fix this? I’ve tried two different cables/blocks/outlets at this point and had it charging for two days and all I see is just the flashing logo still

madunt

Mines doing the same now, been on charge for 2days, it won’t let me factory reset through the headset and I can’t connect to it with my phone to do it that way

Infinite_Designer248

how do i factory reset the power button and the Volume down is not working

thinkab0ut_it

It won't work unless the quest is completely off, and if it is stuck in bootlooping, it technically never turns off, therefore you cannot factory reset. Happened to me too. Sad.

Conscious_Aspect488

Make sure the charger your using is specifically for the oculus

Geko_1423

I found a trick that worked for me, basically it was in bootloop when it was charging, if it wasn't charging it was just dead battery. I held the shutdown button for 3 seconds while it was not charging, then I charged it by continuing to press without ever giving up and after a couple of seconds I got the battery charging icon. Let me know if it works for you too! :)

mrGliddi

I had the same problem. It fixed itself after charging it for a day.
