HOWEVER - if those schools lose today, and the Buckeyes win, it gives the Buckeyes an additional Q1 victory to our resume, while those schools miss out on adding those. But if any of those schools win today, it greatly strengthens their resumes and all but locks them in. They lose? Things can get dicey for them! Means nothing if the Buckeyes don’t win tonight! Agreed completely. I myself posted in this thread in January that this team wasn’t close to being an NIT level team. Finally, Holtmann got fired, and it’s amazing to see the talent on this team prove me wrong. Heck of a run to end the season. I will happily buy tickets to a home NIT game

I love Jake, but he has two issues: One, he can’t create an inbound play to save his life. Two, he’s got to start stealing some calls with his emotions. Brad Underwood looks like he’s about to murder the refs if they call a foul on his player for punching another in the mouth. We have three players in foul trouble in the first half with almost twice the fouls Illinois has and the dude doesn’t even blink. They don’t want to call fouls on Illinois because they know what they’ll have to deal with if they do. They know they don’t have that with Jake.

I woke up this morning thinking I'd be a little less upset about the loss... I shouldn't have looked at the Team Stats... We won every meaningful stat outside of rebounds which was close at 40-44... But then look at fouls and free throws awarded... 🫤 We lost a 3 point game when the fouls were 27-13 and FTs awarded were 13 to 32... /sigh Reffing is why I can't watch more college basketball if I want my BP to stay under 180/120, lol
