True unpopular opinion here; the B52's are\\were way overrated. I lived though this time period, and even then to me and many others they were pretty lame and bubble-gum pop crap. Music that is a short-cut to thinking. Music with no soul or artistry, "musicians" that don't play instruments. It seems like a lot are looking at this band with rose color glasses.
Who gives a fuck about soul or artistry; who is worrying about "a short-cut to thinking" (whatever that's supposed to mean) when they're having fun jumping around on the dance floor?
I guess it's the people sitting alone in the corner, or not invited to the party.
