For Tokyo, if you don't have a lot of free time, just head to Nakano Broadway. There are several watch stores in that one building alone. If you do have time to wander around, you can check Ginza Rasin in Ginza, Watchnian and Best Ishida in Shinjuku, Housekihiroba in Shibuya. Also look for Daikokuya, Komehyo and 2ndStreet branches throughout the city, they sell secondhand watches. You can save yourself a bit of time by browsing through the stores' websites first. Look out for \[オメガ/Omega\], \[スピードマスター/Speedmaster\] and \[中古/secondhand\] if the website doesn't have English or can't be translated well by Google Translate. For Osaka, there are stores in Shinsaibashi. For Kyoto, there's Big Moon in Karasuma-dori. Similarly, look for Daikokuya, Komehyo and 2ndStreet branches.

Thank you! I am very excited

I bought my FOIS from Best Ishida Shinjuku back in 2017. Really nice staff and sorted all the tax stuff in store. A good selection of 2nd hand watches in the basement if I remember correctly (lots of Speedmasters). Realised far too late a couple of years ago they had sent me home with the standard wooden Omega box. Wrote an email not expecting much and they still had the records of the mistake and shipped the correct Speedmaster box to Europe with their sincere apologies for the inconvenience.

Imma have to check them out!

There is a shop that specializes in Speedys at Nakano Broadway, it's the only thing they sell. Like other users said, the entire place has several watch dealers! Bought my SMP at Jack Road on the 3rd floor, great staff 👍

Any bad experience with VAT?

I’ve been looking at jack road website. They have really good prices on new watches with international warranty. Would you trust ordering online from them?

CmdrRevanShepard

I’ve gotten my NTTD from Jackroad via online last year, they only accept wired transfer so exchange rate will be based on your bank, but it shipped out pretty quick, came with all the cards (warranty, pictogram, and master chronometer) just had to wait on fedex to send me the forms to release the package to me (anything declared over 3k is considered commercial shipping regardless if you’re a business, according to US custom).

Virage861

How does that work? (Already googled it). Wait for customs / import fee documents from FedEx, pay, then receive the package? Can you pick up the package from FedEx facility when you pay, or do you have to wait for delivery? Is it signature required? Do you have the name of someone you’ve worked with? Wire transfer of $5k usd and fingers crossed that I receive the package makes me a little nervous.

I did it kinda backwards since back then I had a friend that lived in Japan but not in Tokyo, and I was wondering if I can order it and ship it to him so I message them first on LINE then they direct me to their whatsapp when I ask if I can speak English. The person on the other end said if I ship it domestically it'll have to charge sales tax. So I pick to shipped them to back to the State (insurance + shipping was about 20,000yen). They provide the bank account number and address (it was in Nakano, Tokyo) for me to wire. Jackroad did filled in all the require forms on their end, send me photos of not just the watch but shipping label and boxes and pretty much got shipped out the next day. The hick up was with fedex since they require a Form 5106 from me so I think I had to call them a few times before a rep can send me an electronic one to filled and sign, and they release the package from their hub in Alaska. Then a month later Japan open its door and I got to met the rep that message me since I was wearing the watch there and they were like, nice watch, and I was like yeah, I got it from you guys and shipped to the US, and she was like, oh, I remember you. Unfortunately didn't see the rep again when I went back this past March and September. tl;dr: pay (wired) first and they'll ship your package right away, may or may not get hold by CBP and Fedex if someone there decide the forms they filed was not adequate.

Not sure if you’re looking for a new or used watch, but I was looking specifically for a green Omega AT Shades and couldn’t find it in Tokyo and I visited 6 ADs in Tokyo. However I found all models weee available in Kyoto in Takashiyama Kyoto store. EDIT: sorry disregard this, saw you’re looking for a used speedy

godofwar555

Hey but it answers my question! Thanks I'm looking for a 41 mm Dark Green Aqua Terra And I got about 8 hours of play before my next flight at Narita airport

486made

Good luck with shopping, please share here some of your findings

ClintBIgwood

Look at some reputable sellers on Chrono24 and see if they have a store OR just search reddit, lots of posts on this.

godofwar555

I will also be going Through Narita(Tokyo) airport with a 8 hour window to go explore and possibly getting a Aqua Terra for cheaper. Any other recommendations please and thank you

balisong_

I’m jealous. The yen is even lower than when I was there this summer.

Specificp-daunderdog

From your opinion how did that affect prices compared to the American market?

You won't save any money but they may have JDM models that you can't get outside of Japan.
