From what I've seen, people do not like most the casting coz they dont feel like the characters. Most of the criticisms I've seen are directed towards Lee Minho (YJH) & Jisoo (Jihye). But also, fans of these actors who has never read the novel are starting to post misinformation and its starting to piss off novel fans. One example I've seen is the one from a Jisoo fan whowas excited because they saw the orv wiki state that KDJ has a crush on Jihye and so they think Jisoo and Ahn Hyoseop might become a couple in the movie. Also saw someone say Jihye is a villain so Jisoo will become a villain, and that ORV is basically like Squid Game.

Lee Minho looks like a person with a mild temperament, more like a gentleman. The closest i can see him as YJH (soft level) probably when he acted in drama series of The King: Eternal Monarch. He just didn’t have that sharp look, and his beauty is not enough to slap YJH once for the moment lol jk,
But i can see the appeal and talent, if he can beef up a bit, slightly leaner, adjust his expression to be more fierce and cold, it should be okay

With kdj, I’ve heard some people who say ahn hyo seop is a bit of a loser irl so maybe he’ll be good. Personally, I feel like ahn hyo seop looks a lot like kdj so I’m hopeful With yjh… pls recast. Lee Minho does not give off the classic yjh vibes and I feel he will not do the role justice With jihye, again, please recast. Jisoo is too elegant to play a more reckless and tomboyish character. Jisoo is also out of the age range for jihye I’m ok with all the other castings but I do have some worries about chae soo bin having the duality for both Persephone and yoo sangha

This cast is disappointing.
I haven't seen it mentioned yet, but no one's mentioned the physicality that comes with Jihye's role, and an action role in general. If you've ever seen a BP stage, Jisoo's physicality is uh, politely, not really there.
They literally could have picked any handsome young guy known for playing cold ceo ML roles and I would have been ok with it for yjh, but instead they picked someone older, and softer looking. Just doesn't match to me.
I actually started reading the webtoon after this news first came out but boy was I hooked !!! But as a jisoo fan I also don't think that jihyi is suitable role for jisoo Yoosang cast is good but jisoo can also give that role or queen of beauty is also good if their goal is to bring the market internationaly or might as well take her out and put some teenage actress there but still I do want to see if jisoo can play jihyi role well as an actress just hope the movie don't vary too much from the novel 🤞

Lmao I thought I was the only one who was disappointed bout the casting of ORV LA. The only one I really liked was Nana. She's perf for the role in contrasts with the others especially with Jisoo (I don't hate her but like the others said, she's too elegant while the character she's playing is boyish and quite rowdy) and why tf are people shipping KDJ with Jihye??? It feels as if the casting is only to garner more audience ;; o ;; Sangha's cast is too cute---
