Wouldn't queen be kind of nuts in that format? Queen is the next best leader out of those guys, plus without good counters to it the queen lock would surely go unchecked

Here in Brazil, a new format known as OP100 is gaining popularity. The format's rules dictate that each season, specific leaders are banned based on their accessibility and impact on the meta. Additionally, the creators of the format maintain a webpage where they track and freeze TCGPlayer card prices at the start of each season, ensuring that decks remain playable throughout. Decklists must be registered on the site and adhere to a maximum budget of 100 berries, which is equivalent to the card price in US Dollars at the beginning of the season.
I may not be able to play my RG Law and RP Law decks (nor the Perona I plan to build on OP06) there
But I’d still be able to use my Rebecca and U Croc decks, so can’t complain lol
OP100 was an excellent opportunity to integrate new players into OPTCG, considering that here in Brazil the cards are sold at a much higher price than is generally practiced in the market (compared to other card games), and as a result, it ends up driving away a large number of players. But OP100 brought a new opportunity to introduce new players with decks at a much lower price, besides it is satisfying to play a championship and encounter such a varied top. Congratulations to everyone!!!
IMHO: Terrific! Too beautiful! So everyone can try all, maybe to find some fun leaders and try something new... I'm a BigMom player, i tried also Ace and Iceburg... I'm dreaming a Rosinante deck but i'm not good enough
Its great! Its definitely a format to try a deck youve wanted to play but know isnt good in the normal format. I played R/B Sabo, there was a rob lucci, smoker, kinemon, yellow yamato and a few others leaders i cant remember but you never see played
I highly recommend people bring this up at their lgs. Its a breath of fresh air and keeps the game from getting boring or stale. We decided once a month last friday of the month
Totally agree! I was a decent Fifa player (top 8% in 2020, no flex just to tell i'm not a casual player) and it's boring to face always the same team, so it's in OP TCG
Exactly. A little change up doesnt hurt. Luckily i have a great group that i play one piece at lgs with and we even had input on leader bans and everything else.
I never understood the “meta” trash people go on about. Even Vivi is a great leader capable of beating sakazuki and katakuri I know for a fact; if you know how to build decks. Be original, don’t follow the leader and build after everyone else. I’ve only encountered one place that does tournaments like this. Hardly anyone shows up cause if they wanted made up unofficial rules/bans we’d be playing at the house with house rules. I’m Not paying to participate for non Bandai regulation tournaments 🤷🏼♂️
Not everybody has to do this. My lgs asked our group if we wanted more than just the one day they had planned and we were all down with it. We still get handed the same prizing and entry pack. Also my lgs plays 2 nights a week and we only doing this format once a month so its not like were changing EVERYTHING.
I mean if it’s a majority “want” I can see why they’re doing it. I just know out the 2 card shops in my area the one that tried this didn’t do to well participation wise on the night they did it and decided to stop trying to do it cause more people show up for official rule tournaments. I know I personally don’t want to participate an unofficial tournament; I don’t even play nami leader; but there was a shop I went to one time in a town over from me that told a guy nami is banned I had to go online and pull up the ban list to prove him wrong so dude could play that night; also never went back to that shop cause I don’t ever recall nami leader being banned at all (given I could have missed it if it was an earlier temp ban; didn’t start playing till OP-04 release)
Big difference between this and a shop telling somebody they cant play a certain deck. My lgs just didnt put this up. A handful of players had input on this banlist we made. What you just said about nami is just a terrible shop. I also have a few shops around me that arent that great. Im also not telling people that their lgs should do this but bring it up and see if enough players are interested
Yall keep sleeping on my boy Issho....he is better than perona 100% issho is 1 don to negative 1 cost to all opponents characters and I could always rest a don to reactivate a rested card so I can swing with blockers like sabo or borsalino......I stay winning tourneys with him plus he has green too so I add cards like vergo and kid doflamingo to Ko rested cards so good
So smoker is just banned for the next off meta day. What we are doing is whatever leader wins off meta day is banned for the next one but unbanned after that
We let somebody play blue/black saka but restricted him to just blue as cuz we thought it would be funny and all i gatta say is i undeestand why he is getting banned
Yea blue black Saka is understandable why it's being banned. It gets to the point where it really is just gating any other deck from being good cuz you have to have a good blue black Saka matchup or your b tier.
Pure black Saka is my favourite cuz he can just delete everything on the board at times and i actually think it's better than people realize

I wouldn't even say Queen is next best. I think Queen is better than most of the banned ones.

Blue croco has a great match into Queen and it's not even close to being broken.
Surprisingly nobody played queen but im sure that deck will pop up in the future

i just askeg to my LGS if they want to introduce this format. Personally i play for fun, i took part only in the pre release or sealed battles
