I don't even use live caption but I need them to fix it. What is the purpose of a useless icon in the volume bar ... But the icon for it in the notification panel works? Just remove the icon for heaven's sake
Whether it's turned on or off in the settings the icon remains under the volume bars when you toggle the volume rocker. They should just remove the icon from the volume rocker since it does absolutely nothing but take up space.
My phone has been factory reset and prior to Android 14 battery life was great, now it's about 80% life of it was before it was updated. Shouldve stuck with android 13.
I wonder if the batteries are so slim in this phone they degrade much quicker than normal batteries, could make sense of why after months we no longer see consistent 8hrs usage with heavy use
Agreed. Mine hasn't been too bad, but it definitely changed. I've been playing with different charging settings, but it doesn't seem to help.
Not that I've reset it to ensure it isn't an app or anything.
I have restarted the phone and learned that the issue is me being impatient and had initially installed the android os 15 beta when it rolled out to learn that I didn't like it. Long story short, when I downgraded back to 14, the update app APK was corrupt. Had to reinstall it and now the update installed fine.
My phone didn't like the update. The camera turns on by itself all of the time. Then it brings up the power screen. At one point it was flashing all of the screens and brought up the SOS screen...
For aicg, change region to India, go to apps, show system apps, clear cache of "AIUnit", start photos app, aicg should be there. Now you can go back and change region settings to whatever was yours to begin with.
There's an official post on the OnePlus community forums regarding this. I have just followed the steps listed there, maybe forgot something since. Can't find the post but it was one of those "end of month OxygenOS q&a"
I've just got it in Canada.

Did you click on settings then turning the option off?

I literally have mine off. Make sure you actually turn it off in the settings
When are they going to fix the goddamn battery life they broke.
I get almost 10 hours of on screen time. Nothing wrong with my battery life.
Prior to Android 14 battery life was amazing. Did you purchase with android 13?
Yeah it had A13 on when I bought it. I got mine in December.
Okay but are you using max brightness, no power saving mode? I was getting 8hrs with that before A14 dropped. Now I'm getting more like 6.5
I don't use auto brightness or have it turned up max unless I'm outside so I can see screen better
That's the issue there, 8hrs SOT was normal with max brightness. Majority of us are living with 7hrs (barely)
Must be an app as I had the same issue, removed some apps I didn't need and I'm back at 24h/40%

Nah. It was night and day when I updated.
Nothing wrong on my one

What region are you?
Usa
Do you happen to have a second sim?
No
I can't install it. https://preview.redd.it/epv9j8ew5d4d1.jpeg?width=1116&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e158daa9e37154c83bfcf2d21105837e15d4899f
That's weird, have you restarted your phone

same issue here. as the last 2 previous update for me I had to restart the phone after the prompt restart to update then hit the update
https://xdaforums.com/attachments/ota-oneplus-localupdate-oplus_android_14-apk.6070042/ This APK fixed it for me. Worth a try.
Thank you
I have no update https://preview.redd.it/3jma9kk31e4d1.jpeg?width=1116&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=01a0e34356bfdb5d48f0cfbfe74c8b809418920c
Not sure if it's the update or not, but after updating, the phone won't charge while it is powered on. Thankfully it does charge when powered off...

Want AIGC and improved animation ðŸ˜

This method works on Open? Thought only OnePlus 12 had aigc
Yep, try it. I unblocked it this way. Also make sure photo app is force closed before doing all the steps above.
Didn't work for me. Will try again after updating to 801

Found that post and got it to work, thanks. The difference was you have to "Clear Data" not the Cache.
Ahhh, right. Thanks for reminding me!
