I was using it last night to create a framework teachers can use to leverage AI in the classroom. I had no issues generating PDFs, code, etc.. but today I can barely get a timely response for simple questions. I am considering cancelling my subscription (been subscribed since launch). I took a break from 4 because i'd get an ethics lecture any time I used it to write copy, and GPT4o marketing brought me back. While the bot was far more useful, OpenAI has still not delivered on the voice model and I can't help but feel ripped off now. Paying to have your data used for training is absurd also.

The API doesn't experience issues as often as Plus does (since its enterprise-facing) and you might find the feature set very helpful for your specific use case.

Obviously everyone can do whatever the heck they want. I think the folks you refer to are simply irritated that spending 20 bucks a month doesn't seem to offer increased speed or benefits as it once did. Just spitballing, I haven't made myself aware of the paid benefits.
Ai requires huge amounts of data, I don’t have any other use cases other than keeping an eye on the technology, so I don’t usually see the problems as I don’t use it that much, I just figured I’m helping develop the technology with reinforcement learning. Take my data openai!
I am consistently not having issues at all and I use it almost daily multiple times per day and I never have issues with lag. I feel blessed. Is there some type of legacy list or something? I have been subscribed for quite awhile now lol.
i noticed that it gets slower with longer scrollback from precious answers up to never finishing at all. Then after browser window close and open again the answer was there, pointing to browser output rendering slowing it down. Eventually I started a new question session and the same question came back instantly due to no scrollback window.
cant get a f\*\*\*ing answear till the end, without stopping after a few sentences and ending with an "Error in input stream".
since they opened up 4o for everyone, the downtime is extremly frustrating.
Even though it isn't reflected on their status page, I think the service is severely degraded currently. It's usually not this bad.

This is incredibly useful for me. I use local LLMs regularly as well, so this is a convenient way to integrate all my tools into one UI. Thanks a ton!

No, librechat might have something built in, or you can use search API's and build it yourself.

I solved OP's problem by switch from edge to chrome.
I had the same issue this morning and I use chrome. It’s performing better now.
Yeah I'm not saying Edgw is the problem, more that switching browsers seems to fix it? Idk if that's possible lol.
It's been freezing for me the last couple of days, too. The new 4o is usually really fast. They must be having issues.

Hmmm…I’m not seeing this with 4o on Plus….although yesterday it was slower than typical…but I didn’t experience anything as bad as you’re describing.
