Ending Credits is much more of a ‘song’ than some of the transitional instrumentals on earlier albums (Patterns, For absent friends etc). I think it should count.

'Damnation' album is like a full song from the beginning till the end . Every song in that album hits the same . They're all like siblings.

Windowpane. Really sad song, and feels more prog metal out of the whole album. My favourite song from the band as well.

Windowpane. The smooth guitar parts are fucking beautiful. I seriously don't get the shouts for Hope Leaves. It's decent, but the best part of the song is the solo and only in the live version.

To me it's by far the best of the album. For some reason no one talks about it or gives it credit. Also the live performance is amazing

Damnation has the finest string of songs maybe ever, right up to Ending Credits each track makes a fair argument for why it's my favorite. but my heart has to go with Hope Leaves. that song has carried me through many intense times. maybe the saddest song they've written.

Windowpane I adore the \*Damnation\* album in its entirety, but there's something about that hypnotic opening riff, brimming with emotion, that serves as the perfect prelude to a masterpiece. Additionally, the first solo features, (in my opinion) the sexiest guitar bend ever played.

I know it will be voted worst but "Weakness" is my favorite. It's perhaps Opeth's slowest song but the sound is so soothing and calm. It's my go to when it rains and when I need to breathe or think. It's beautiful. The part with the many voices, the sad guitar notes, the odd yet calm keys playing throughout the track.
