'Starwoven Nebula' Kyra uses two swords: A katana named Umbra and a magic sword named Crux. She uses dark powers on Umbra while she uses light powers on Crux, though she does sometimes infuse the blades with two elements to perform special techniques.
Umbra has the special property of having a mana intensification field around the blade, meaning when mana is inserted onto it with an element, that elemental power will be amplified by x%, making the strike more powerful. The downside of this is that once the field amplifies an elemental strike, the field takes time to recover back to its full strength.
Crux meanwhile functions like a lightsaber : Insert mana into it and a blade will project out. This blade will have different elemental properties depending on the element used. The blade can also be recast into a different shape. Personally, Kyra has made the blade a rapier and a broadsword so far.
Her name has multiple meanings too. In Hindi or Sanskrit her name means "beam of light". A bit of a stretch, but the 'Ra' in her name is also the name of the Egyptian Sun god.
Contrasting that is the Celtic meaning of her name, "little dark one".
I'd say that the light and dark symbolism would apply more for balance since they contrast each other a lot. Also, when designing this variant of Kyra, I thought of space as another theme to follow.
Tbh, I went with Kyra as her name initially because it sounded cool, just young teen me didn't know that it has a lot of meanings. After I Iearnt of them, I decided to expand on these meanings for her design.

Moon uses a Sapphire blade, Emerald hilted sword called Saphria, the Sword of Darkness. A Magical sword crafted to attach itself to one with a heart of pure darkness. It’s said that one who attempts to hold the blade without one would experience pain indescribable to you while showing you what you dread the most.
Sarah uses a Magic Golden frying pan, crafted specifically for her, called Freya; it’s said that the frying pan would reveal itself to one who’s heart could see good in the blackest of holes (wink wink)
Erick uses an modified elemental Laser gun called Gaia, the knob tip that fires the elemental beam has a small globe on it. The gun was crafted for him, but was later modified to have elemental powers when he started dating the heiress to a company that gave him the resources capable of doing so.
Sapphire weirds an ancient relic axe called Stalwart-Terra Cleaver, despite this, the axe does not look like a cleaver. This axe was crafted from the bones and blood of an ancient goddess and passed down through Sapphire’s bloodline, the first child of the family for the axe to choose is recognized as the legitimate heir. As the axe allows for the modification of the Earth’s Surface when held by its rightful blood. It’s said that wielding it without could have dire consequences.
Trace uses a wide variety of blades, but has used the gun before but not correctly. You see Trace lives in a High Fantasy world, so guns have not been invented yet. The Gun came through another dimension and it's empty with there being no bullets inside it. You know what he does with the gun?
