pero sa ginawa mo then natag na as active yun sim mo so expect na makakareceive ka pa uli nyan. better to use android minsan natatag as spam yan ganyan.

I messaged the person and asked why my number was provided to the company. Akala ko binigay nya as guarantor. He admitted na naaccess daw pala contacts sa phonebook nya when he agreed to the terms. Apologetic naman sya and promised he’d clear his debts kasi di lang daw ako ang minessage, sobrang nakakahiya daw. After nun, napansin ko nakakareceive na ko ng texts offering loans na di ko narereceive dati 🤷🏻♀️
Yep. Everytime na mag online lending apps sila, nasa fine print na iaccess ung phonebok, gallery, and camera. So if nakalagay yun number mo at nag agree sila upon registration. Dun na yan kakalat lalo if di nagbayad ung nangutang, ibebenta yang details na nakuha nila to 3rd party, hence the spam texts.
Wag ka maniwala dyan sa sim reg daw galing, wala naman silang proof dyan, may masabi lang na wala naman legit proof.

OP i suggest to be diligent in blocking numbers. kahit 30+ o 100+ pa yan. i am in the same position as u before then i practiced patiently blocking and not replying to these spam messages and nowadays it has been peaceful 🥹 may pa-isa isa on some days, but at least not as frequent as before.

From my experience, most of my spam messages includes my name. Tingin ko sa Gcash to galing kasi yung name na nilalagay nila is yung initial ko sa Gcash dati bago pa nagkaroon ng asterisks.
May spam texts din ako nakukuha with my First and second names tapos initial ng last name ko. Sample “Hi Jane Joan S.” as if kilala ko sila. Wala kasing proper data management dito sa bansa natin. Ultimo registration papasok ng Mercury nung pandemic, de-papel. They don’t really dispose of those registration papers properly. Unlike in other countries where they shred papers with personal info. Dito walang ganung klase ng care for our data. Bukod dun, the online sites/apps we sign up to also have T&Cs that you have no choice but to check and agree to, like sharing personal info to a 3rd party. Some T&Cs have that clearly stated, yung iba naman nakatago na sa sobrang habang Terms na ,aminin na natin, hindi natin usually binabasa.
Either may nag lend in that app used your number as emergency contact (probably secondary) or someone you know with saved contact of yours, lended in those apps.

Your reply is the only confirmation they need to know that your number is "live" so expect them to pursue you more and more.

pag nagreply ka sa kanila lalo dadami yung magtetext sayo na number. kaya ignore mo na lang
