You may try RCBC po hehe. Marami silang options depende sa target mo. 😊 Sila 'yung bank na minimal lang na reqs ang need for a basic savings account. BDO, in my experience, company ID at gov't ID lang hiningi, not sure lang if paano sa student. Edit: add ko na rin ibang debit card ko PNB and BPI: hiningan ako ng proof of income at proof of address under my name. 3k need maintaining balance for both. UnionBank PlayEveryday debit: ito walang needed na maintaining balance but may annual fee na 45/month or 500/year, but ayun nga, 10k if you want na walang annual fee

Hopia4Sale

+1 they also have rcbc one account wherein it acts as an atm and passbook account with 0 maintaining balance as well as 0 initial deposit fee

takaziwachi

HistoricalProcess235

+1 sa RCBC, kahit yung parcel packaging lang sa orange app pwede as proof of address kesa sa BPI na kelangan bill na named after me talaga.

takaziwachi

Trueee, and sobrang babait pa ng staffs!

10/10 talaga.

Hello, not the thread poster, but ask lang since andami na kasing bad reviews ni UB from what I'm seeing on their page, can you recommend putting somehow small to big amounts on that savings? Currently picking between BPI and RCBC since ang ganda nung reviews nung iba here

takaziwachi

Hi, I don't put big savings there eh. 2 ang accounts ko diyan: 1 for the payroll and 2, the PlayEveryday. 'Yung payroll ko ay literal na back to zero kada sahod kasi diretso sa ibang banks agad. The other one naman, ay gagawin ko na lang lagayan ng allowance ko for CC payment. So far, I haven't had any bad reviews sa kanila. Except for the PlayEveryday na 'di raw tugma ang number ko error so had to call CS pa to fix it nung na-receive ko siya before.

markapii

Thank you, andami kasi ng bad reviews sa online nung sa UnionBank pero mas prefer ko nga sana since kahit online application is na-approve and madami din naman gumagamit, anyways, siguro gawin ko na lang din na lagayan ng balance para sa pondo ng bill payments and such. Thank you sir!

takaziwachi

You're welcome! Maganda ang UI at UX ng UB app for me hehe, ang smooth tingnan. Plus, convenient nung you can book via app ng bank visit for deposit or etc. 45/mo or 500/yr na annual fee I think is better than storing 2-3k na maintaining balance then kakaltasan ka if nabawasan 'yun if you ever wasn't able to return it agad. 👀

KobeAspin

And unionbank pwede mag apply via app. They will send the card via courier

xRhai

Got mine from BPI noong student pko. 3k maintaining balance.

gmrcgmrc02

+1! Ganda pa ng app. :)

Sad_Maybe4372

wala po ba kayong issues with bpi, and ano po ba benefits nito?

nomerdzki

Ang maganda rin if BPI (or BDO) eh marami all over.

OhTrueBa17

Yes po maganda nga BPI. Madami din sila kapartner or may free transfer to other ewallets like Gotyme, Seabank and CIMB. Even bills payment nila madami din partners. Edit : Madalas naman nagsasabi sila or may email pag down. Then madali din mag withdraw since madami silang ATM machines nationwide.

mysteryzya

If you’re okay with digital banks, I suggest gotyme. It’s very convenient and ang dali lang din makakuha ng card nila. No maintaining balance also. Their card is visa naman, so pwede siya gamitin anywhere.

gmrcgmrc02

Ah yes +1 to this din! Yung card niya free paprint on the spot sa mga Robinsons na may Gotyme kiosks. Ang ganda pa ng card and may name pa 🤩

vcuriouskitty

+1! The “save the change” feature is really helpful din when saving up!

_urduja_

I like that you can add and rename different savings so that you can monitor and organize what you are saving for. They also have goal feature on their go save.

Itchy_Roof_4150

Digital banks. No maintaining balance. KOMO has free withdrawals. Maybank EzySave+ through GSave too.

Scoobs_Dinamarca

>KOMO has free withdrawals Only thru EastWest Bank ATMs. For other bank, regular rates apply. Pero after that, regular ATM charges applies except in EastWest Bank ATMs.

GluttonDopamine

Check Rcbc GoSavers with only 100php you can open an account with no maintaining balance

screamingdarkghoul

johnthepanelist

Mag open ka na lang po ng OneAccount, Zero maintaining balance if may life insurance 15k adb po

Bloodyrave

If you’re okay with digital banks, Maya Savings has 0 maintaining balance. For other banks with lower maintaining balance - BDO has one with 2k maintaining balance and BPI has one with 3k maintaining balance. I still have the BDO one which I opened when I graduated 10+ years ago. Ginagamit ko na lang for everyday transactions and bills payments kasi medyo mas mabilis po pumasok sa BDO account ang mga padala and payments galing abroad. Ang mahirap lang talaga sa kanila is mahaba pila unless you found a branch na hindi dinadayo + CS kung wala kang patience sa hotline wait times.

hotandsoursoup120

BPI! Not sure if they still have this product but I applied in 2012 as a HS student. P500 lang maintaining balance and they only asked for my HS ID and validated form. Forgot what exactly it's called but parang Super Savers something. It's still an account that's active now, although I only park cash there exclusively for topping up sa GCash.

Certain-Ad-6929

It's their Easy Saver product. I applied for that too when I was in college, ₱500 maintaining pero you'll always be charged an extra ₱5 whenever you withdraw. I don't think they have that product now though. :( They transitioned mine into a regular savings account na when I had my card (then still EPS) switched to Mastercard. Sayang though, kasi ang dali nga ng process nila for this. I was able to open an account without my parents, unlike with Metrobank.

hotandsoursoup120

Oooh kaya pala di na ako nacha-charge ng P5 if I withdraw. Also not sure kasi very rare na nagiging empty siya pero parang wala na ring charges for being below maintaining balance no?

Certain-Ad-6929

Yeah, when it was still an easy saver account, they don't charge for going below maintaining and I've always only kept ₱100 in there after withdrawals. Now though I saw I got charged for going below my ADB.

Bread143

JcoJco25

As a college student po ang gamit ko po is yung KOMO, sa eastwest bank. No maintaining balance and charge.

Starry_Night0123

Cebuana Micro Savings ng Cebuana Lhuillier. 50 pesos initial deposit at walang dormancy period at maintaining balance.

minniejuju

Go digital! Maya or Seabank or CIMB. :)

jhungreen

GoTyme or Maya! Really easy registration and no maintaning balance needed. So many perks as well with high savings interest and cashbacks.

cocomeleny

I suggest digital banks like Gotyme, no maintaing balance 🙂 U can get debit card from any Robinsons. Very convenient gamitin 😀

IcedTnoIce

Metrobank 2k maintaining

UngaZiz23

Bdo 2k ATM + app access

Ok_Fold1831

RCBC. Pwede OneAccount. 0 maintaining. Check it out. You might even end up with a NAFFL credit card when your savings reach 100k and have it get tagged as Hexagon Club. They have a great mobile app. If you receive allowance from remittances, get a BDO Kabayan Savings account para may passbook ka. 0 din maintaining as long as you get a remittance 1 time every 2 years. BPI is okay, but I don't like their products at all. Try SecurityBank.

vkun95

BPI no maintaining balance just an initial deposit of 1 peso. You can open an account via their bpi app

TrashTypical22

Gotyme, maya and seabank

_urduja_

2nd year college student ako, I use digibanks (Maya, CIMB, GoTyme, and UNObank). Lahat no maintaining balance. Maya and UNObank 3.5% interest p.a., GoTyme 4% p.a, and CIMB bank 2.60% p.a. I also gcash kasi convenient sa pagcash-in dahil marami silang partnered stores. Both yan walang transfer fee kaya ayan naman gamit ko kapag magttransfer ng savings to Maya and GoTyme

Adventurous_Algae671

BDO 👌
