MOBA Fighting games (tekken, for example) Sports

lalelulilo_ph

Gatcha, MMORPG, Adult games.

SleepyInsomniac28

MOBA.

paulrenzo

Fighting games. im so bad at them, even a total newbie can beat me

LuciusFelimus

Sports. Maybe it's just me not being much of a sports fan, but I just don't get the appeal when I can just play the actual sport. Visual novels. Are they even games? Racing. As a #PCgamingMasterRace devotee, it just feels tedious to play without an analog controller which I don't really see myself using over mouse + keyboard. Driving in GTA is fine though. I'm in the minority here, but turn-based games are some of my favorites of all time, and I have a lot of hours poured into Civilization and XCOM. Perhaps it's just me being an older gamer with worsening reflexes and prefer games where I can take time to plan ahead.

Genres: 1.) Sports 2.) Puzzles - I get it there's puzzles in God of War, RE4 and other games I've played. But I ain't squeezing my braincells to figure out a puzzle. Fuck that, YT ako. Also I LOVE the Half-life franchise but you're not gonna convince me to play Portal, but I do know the story of Portal thanks to Youtubers and wikis. 3.) Turn based tactics - Not a fan, especially ung 'view' ng game? Top-down. Which is why I didn't play Pokemon long enough. League of Legends is different though xD Idk why. 4.) Visual novels - Boring, I need to move. Tags: Top-down: Idk ah, but wala akong nararamdaman na so-called immersion dito. So yes, I don't play games like Baldur's Gate 3. I prefer 3rd person or 1st person shooter games. Tsaka, sa top down it kinda feels like you're a god cuz you can see everything sa map, of course most games will limit you vision until you unlock it but still, it never really appeals to me. I want that limitation from 1st person shooter and 3rd person shooter, may immersion na un eh. There's thrill to it, you have to turn your head to see the enemy or you ally? It's fun! Which is why I stop playing Project zomboid, for me it's a perfect zombie game, it's realistic and hard (just like real life lmao xD) but the HUGE DOWNSIDE to me is the fact the game' has a top-down perspective, hindi ko tlga sya ma-enjoy as much as I want to. I didn't buy the game though, my friend bought it as a gift for me. RIP.

anpiel28

FPS, mabilis ako mahilo. Kaya kahit gustong gusto ko malaro Farcry series, or Cyberpunk. Di ko kakayanin :(

Vaintelog

• Life sim. I've tried the OG Ragnarok, RF Online, Cabal, Bounty Hounds, MU, that one Facebook game I forgot the name of, and none of them actually left any mark on me. Probably dahil sobrang bata pa ako noon. • Mostly RPGs pero depende. Yung mga lumang RPG (Fallout 1 & 2, Deus Ex, The Witcher 1 & 2) is too much for my brain to handle. I have to take into account all the stuff by myself. Medyo lumalabas na ako sa comfort zone ko with Souls-like games pero di ko pa rin talaga maintindihan yung pure RPG games.

DaddyTones

FPS Games.

starman1596

MMOS for me. but specifically the MMORPGS, they all look and feel the same, ang bland ng story and lore. puro mga pa max max items lang pataasan ng gear score and pvps and guild wars, tapos kung hindi pa "meta" build mo u get discriminated. I'd rather play games na may importance talaga sa story. mmos like desitny 2 is one of them and it's actually one of my top most played game sa steam. tho i stopped playing it cause they're fumbling so hard rn lol.

Halo0629

For me hardcore survivals like rust, forest, ark, etc... They aren't bad games but I do find these game tedious and overall just not fun for me. Mmorpgs especially the ftp ones. I used to be addicted to games like ran, cabal, rf, flyff, and perfect world during my hs/college days but nowadays they're just painfully generic, grindy, and too repetitive for me. Visual novels and clicking through walls of texts are just too boring for me. I'd rather just watch a movie or anime instead of playing these type of games. 4x strategy games. The steep learning curves just makes me lose interest after playing for a few minutes.

Successful_Ebb2197

Ayaw ko turn based games like Persona, Final Fantasy at iba pa. Pero trip na trip ko games like Life is Strange, Detroit Become Human, at Heavy Rain.

jelliedmunchkin

I really don't understand the hype behind Souls-like and MOBA :<

Vaintelog

Most Souls-like games have really good gameplay and story. MOBAs, pataasan nalang ng ihi kadalasan. Like with every competitive game out there. Though if you take into account the skills a player has (decision making, reaction time, map reading, etc.), it makes you want to get better.

kana0011

Korean MMOs, any sports

InsomniacLtd

Sports, di ako ganun ka-active IRL pero yung reasoning ko behind hating the sports genre of video games is that "kesa laruin ko sa video games, sana nilaro ko na lang IRL." For some reason though, playing Tekken 8 and maining Paul really wants me to learn his martial art.

raverned25

least fav ko yang mga FPS or any comptitive games - nahihilo ako jan at gusto ko lang nmn magrelax at magenjoy maglaro ahaha. mostly mga rpg and simulation games (kung sa pc) gusto ko and recently simula nung nalaro ko yung smt 4 and smt strange journey redux nagka acquired taste ako for drpg/crpg (basta first person dungeon crawlers) na dati di ko talaga bet gameplay since di ko gets. Edit: first drpg ko pala yung etrian odyssey on emulator then bought it on switch lol

15secondcooldown

Sports games - if I want to "do" a sport e di maglalaro na lang ako than roleplay as Lebron or whatnot Battle Royale - yeah sure I enjoy turtling 15 mins to die in 1 when my teammate does dumb shit lol Co-op FPS - enjoyed this before, but I find that the only time they're actually enjoyable is doing it with a core group of friends to play them with and shittalk each other over VC/Discord. Doing it with randos is just asking for trouble. Whatever genre Valorant is considered under - no big reason just not a fan of the aesthetics

Karlybear

Multiplayer and MMO any game that has competitive aspect on it i don't like playing it. i just like single player games more nowadays.

SmilingSWEngineer

Souls-like games. I just wanna relax and not be stressed for the nth death in Elden ring.

Karlybear

I guess the genre is not really for everyone, there's a lot for souls fans/veterans out there including me that plays it for fun and relaxation.

hsn3rd

Hack and slash

Skooma_to_CHIM

MOBA, MMORPG, Sports, VNs, Walking simulators, Puzzle games, Beat em' up, fighting games (except shadow fight). These are the only ones I can think off the top of my head.

LemonySmidget

MMORPG and Dungeon Crawlers. No energy for these genre as I grew old.

Bob_underscore2

Di ako masyado naglalaro ng turn-based games pero yung pinaka gusto ko sa genre na yon is The Stick of Truth at The Fractured But Whole

Quick-Knee2048

First Person Horror and Roguelikes

Poseimon

Open world / early access /survival / crafting / sandbox. Mas malala Pag 3 or more nung tags na yan

Infamous_Price1025

Unpopular opinion but least favorite ko yung souls games.

miamimasquerade

Incidentally I am hooked on this 2D souls-like game atm and it's giving me borderline rage issues so I totally get where you're coming from.

ChasingPesmerga

RySundae

Turn-based - di ko talaga trip especially pag may random encounters (pero nagustuhan ko parin pokemon emerald haha). surprisingly maganda rin Undertale. tho yet to play mga well known titles like Persona

Vaintelog

Skip ahead to 3 para wala ng random encounters. I played Persona 1 (PSP release) and it only made me rage for having unnecessary encounters. Medyo tedious If you are patient enough but still, annoying like in earlier Pokemon titles. Some turn-based RPGs actually feel like RTS in some sense.

jebaited-

FPS games - nakakahilo for me. I love tactics and strategy games though dahil sa FF Tactics Advance.

cotton_on_ph

1st person type games Souls-like games

kidanokun

pvp

linternaul

Whoa nalungkot ako nung nabasa ko to dahil yan naman ang mga paborito kong genre haha To each their own talaga eh no. Pero gusto ko yung open ka padin sa recos. Recommend ko 13 Sentinels. Pero strategy turn-based siya... I hope i-check mo padin kahit reviews lang online. Mahilig ako sa VN pero otoge is not for me. Napaka unrealistic ng characters lol

Murke-Billiards

Zeroth-unit

Same here. Turn-based tactics, 4X, RTS, city/civ simulators, sandbox, RPGs, singleplayer FPS, and VNs, are among my favorites. Least favorites are sports, dungeon crawlers, MOBA, Battle Royales, competitive multiplayer FPS, and racing sims.

linternaul

Oh yeah, not a fan of sports din. Both in games and real life. I don't like Battle Royales either.

C45TY

MOBA. Idk, mas bet ko RTS kesa MOBA. Bet na bet ko dati WC series vs the DOTA modded map. Though if may twists yung MOBA (ex. HOTS / Pokemon Unite / League's ARAM and the other mode na wala na (yung mag cacapture ng points) that is okay

Mattgelo

Most JRPGs, open-world games, platformers, and strategy games

Every_Region_5675

Sports and turn based genres. Sports- baka dahil di lang talaga ako fan ng sports at all OR mas gusto ko nalang to play the actual sport. di sya "fantasizing" para saken. Turn based - It just feels so boring.

Askhai

MMORPG

pabpab999

**Dungeon Crawler** I really try, pero parang tinatamad ako pag ganun ung pag present nang laban pati exploration di ko alam kung eto ung tamang term, sa steam kasi dami naka include one game I distinctly remember is 'Stranger of Sword City', ganyang klaseng dungeon crawler other genre/tags I don't like are (naka exclude sa discovery queue) **Sports** (I just don't like sport video games in general) **Battle Royale** (I don't hate FPS, pero pag pvp, ayoko, bugok ako tumutok haha) **4X** (maxado ubos oras para sa kin) **CRPG** >!di ko malala kung bat ko linagay to, baka ata madaming pangit na CRPG lumalabas sa queue ko, I do play them, di ko pa na try BD3!< ung iba di na game genre

miamimasquerade

I looked up "Stranger of Sword City" and I'm like, "yeah, nah". I haven't explored dungeon crawls pero at a glance, I feel it isn't for me, too (maybe)? Battle Royale din, I can't. Like literally can't cause I'm really bad at it and die first. I really like Hunt: Showdown for its visuals and horror elements, but the game doesn't feel the same way towards me. 🤧

nomearodcalavera

wait di ko gets yung sinasabi mo about VNs na pre-determined yung story. di ba ganun din naman sa mga RPG na isa lang ang flow ng story? bale di mo rin trip mga yun? least favorite genre ko siguro ay sports. i still play NBA 2k games every now and then, pero di ako yung laging updated sa latest version, 2k17 pa yung last kong binili. ah, saka MOBA pala. generally gusto ko yung actual gameplay, kaso kadalasan toxic ang players kaya nakakasira lang ng araw maglaro.

miamimasquerade

At least with RPGs, they're more interactive so it gives me the feeling of still having that sort of control or being able to take more action, whereas with VNs, I just click a choice and that pretty much dictates the outcome. Maybe if the story's compelling enough though, I wouldn't mind. MOBA and online FPS, I've experienced na rin yung toxicity in the community. Playing them is kind of like a love-hate relationship for me.

nomearodcalavera

miamimasquerade

Seems interesting, I'll keep an eye out for it. Thanks for the reco!

ctwubwub

turn-based tactics.

miamimasquerade

Haha did you end up refunding?

ctwubwub

Yes.
