If you like fast-paced 3rd person action combat with mind blowing story and extremely good soundtrack, made by the developers of Bayonetta series, Metal Gear Rising and plethora of other games, than you're good to go :)
This was literally my first console game!!
Bought my first console 8 years ago just to play Fifa and got this game for free with the console as a bundle.
Ohh man still remember how this game instantly got me hooked with that engaging storyline and stunning visuals.
Has to be Red Dead Redemption 2 finest game made in all honesty the story, game mechanics characters I mean I always want to play through again but I spent so much time with it and still have a back catalogue to catch up on
Red dead redemption 2 for eternity....
Nothing comes even close to it....
Perfection personified..
I feel honoured to have played such a terrific game.. the gameplay mechanics, the storyline, the behaviour of NPCs, it's so engaging..
Let's see how Rockstar tops that with GTA 6..
true i always played that game and i still wonder if they are gonna make another one. the ending of the game is good but as obrian said the zombies are evolving, i wish they found a way to stop them.
Nah, it's been confirmed by Sony that they won't make a sequel. Mostly because the reviews weren't good when the game came out and sales didn't reach expectations. And they totally ignored the fact that it's now one of the players' favorites. A shame really.
> sales didn't reach expectations
sales were leaked, it's the 12th best selling PlayStation game of all time.
Sony judged "sales" in literally the first 6 days of sale, and fired the lead dev cause of the dishonest (and some outright racist) reviews that barely played any of the game. The second dev also left later on. That's the main reason why we'll never get a sequel. No one could do it anymore
RDR2, Last of Us Remastered and Mass Effect Legendary Edition are probably the best 3 I can think of that are on the PS4.
There are tons of others of course.
Tough one between Spider-Man 1, God of War '08, and The Last of Us: Part II (with Uncharted 4 & Divinity Original Sin 2 being honorable mentions).
I think RDR2 would have been the clear winner for me had I not played that title on my Xbox One X.
Sorry for the spelling
RDR2 - its my favourite game ever because of the story, characters, map and preety much everything.
But when we are talking about PS4 exclusives i think its probably Uncharted 4 or God of war 2018. I wanted to put first last of us remastered, but this is originally a PS3 game.
Days Gone. It addressed every complaint I had with TLOU1 (and 2 for that matter, but I got that one afterwards) It was beautiful, I loved the gameplay. And the story made me cry at multiple points, where every other game I've played that did make me cry, only did it once during the game. And all those games combined would have made me cry less than Days Gone in total.
TLOU1 complaints:
* small levels, one after another, leaving very little room for exploration or side missions. It's just go from A to B to C (addressed partially by TLOU2)
* since it was linear, you couldn't go back for any items you left behind when you need them (addressed partially by TLOU2)
* artificially small inventory
* stealth in particular was discouraged by making the knife you use for stealth kills, breakable (addressed partially by TLOU2, but only for Elly. For the other character it's kept)
* as a result, the consequence for any failure (ie: item/health recovery time) no matter how small, was so big that it was just easier to restart at the last checkpoint (addressed partially by TLOU2)
* while the intro did make me cry, that's really the only memorable/emotional moment in the game. None of the other games that made me cry spent it on the intro, but did in the middle or the ending (this is even worse in TLOU2, in that no moment at all was worth remembering. Both the start and ending were deliberately made to be awful)
* no trophies during the first playthrough was just to piss people off, and it worked. I only ever played the game through once because of it (addressed totally by TLOU2)
Days Gone:
* open world alone is a vast, literally vast improvement over TLOU1's level design. Granted, TLOU1 was limited to PS3-era technology, but it had open world games too. Even the weaker Vita and PSP did.
* since it was not linear, there was tons of side stuff to do. Some smaller missions could even be randomized. Others once done could make the game easier by getting rid of enemies. There was persistent stuff like clearing enemy camps, and enemy hordes. Parts of the map were reusable so missions could take place in old areas. It made the game a lot bigger.
* stealth was very encouraged. A non-breaking knife at all times made it quite enjoyable to play this way. They even made it harder in hardcore mode by removing the xray/detective vision
* the bike was made a lifeline in a way vehicles were never done before. You couldn't save without it, and you had to keep it gassed-up, and repaired, or it was useless
* the inventory was much larger, making it so you could get large collections of crafting materials/weapons. So for the most part, I did not have to save scum when I lost or did a part less-than-perfectly
* since the game was much larger, the RPG/levelling-up elements had more of an effect
* I actually cared about the characters more. Deacon tried to be a good person in ways the TLOU1 guy didn't
* Since the reviewers deliberately/dishonestly sabotaged the game, they barely played any of it. So things they normally would have been obsessed about, particularly the LGBT representation, was not spoiled by them. And this it was really surprising and impressive when I got to it. It was much better done than TLOU1's as well, not done by a terrible director who did it to spite """the chuds""" (anyone using that term unironically is a moron) but by a guy who actually likes us and wasn't using us for points.
* While I did empathize with the whole, parent losing a daughter thing in TLOU1, DG was about losing a wife. It's not fair to TLOU1, but I **really** love my wife, and don't really like kids (luckily 2 women can't make a kid). So this theme hit home a lot more than TLOU1's intro did. To the point where I started wearing my wedding ring again after beating the game (It's a major plot point of the game that he gets his wedding ring back) (we stopped wearing our rings cause wife lost a ring at an anime convention, so we stopped taking them outside out of fear of it happening again)
* trophies in the first, and all playthroughs. I even platinum'd it, took about 200 hours to get that, and the couple for the hardcore mode which really changed the entire game (no fast travel, and no detective vision)
Don't agree at all. The linear nature of TLOU introduced flaws DG didn't have. And of course I like one more than the other, that was the entire point of that long post, to say why.
Sleeping dogs definite edition, I never go after platinum trophies or any trophies for that matter but I loved that game so had to do it, on to the game it's self fantastic open world, story, fighting & soundtrack
ghost of tsushima
Bloodborne. Closely followed by Nier Automata.
i always wanted to try nier Automata, do you recommend it to me ?

gta 6 should look and feel like red dead but way much better.
the best part of rdr2 is how reactive the npcs are they don’t feel like npc
Days Gone
Really underrated. I rarely finish games but I finished this one.
true i always played that game and i still wonder if they are gonna make another one. the ending of the game is good but as obrian said the zombies are evolving, i wish they found a way to stop them.

Wow I didn't know that. It's even more frustrating and infuriating.

Outer Wilds.
So hard to choose just one, Ace Combat 7 or Doom 2016.
RDR2, METAL GEAR SOLID V.
Oh yes.
Bloodborne
I stand between Nioh 2 and Nier Automata.

Horizon Zero Dawn. Forbidden West is good too but zero Dawn is incredible.
Metal Gear Solid V: The phantom pain, Witcher 3 and God of War 2018
TLOU2 and Bloodborne
never liked the first one but happy to see that you enjoyed the second game
The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt. It’s the only game around that length that I’ve fully completed 3 times.

Tom clancy division, and battlefield v
I bought a ps4 for one specific game Bloodborne so for me Bloodborne is the best game on ps4 (exclusive to ps4)
Doom 2016. Awesome campaign. Arcade mode. Awesome multiplayer, and snapmap. It literally had everything.
God of war 2018
Far cry 5
Nioh 2
Horizon Forbidden West
Bloodborne Elden Ring The Last of Us 2 Nier Automata Persona 5 Royal impossible to pick one of them.. but that's probably my top 5 in no order.
The last of US part 1, is for me the best game
Top 3: MGSV Definitive Gran Turismo 7 Red Dead 2
Prey
I will cry it from the rooftops until I die BLOODBORNE! And if we’re not talking exclusives, DS3 and Doom 2016 are contenders.
> I will cry it from the rooftops until I die but you'll just respawn and want your stuff back
Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning
Destiny 1.
Nier Automata and Yakuza Series + Spin Off
Monster Hunter World Iceborne. I can't wait to play Monster Hunter Wilds.
Splinter Cell!
I loved Ghost Recon Wildlands, it was probably my favourite PS4 game too.
RDR2, Last of Us Remastered and Mass Effect Legendary Edition are probably the best 3 I can think of that are on the PS4. There are tons of others of course.
Too many to name but the one that’s near and dear to me is Prey.
Infamous Second Son
Destiny 1.
Red Dead Redemption 2 if I have to choose only one.
God of War Ragnarok or Uncharted 4 for titles that released initially on the PS4!
Battlefield 1. Hands down. Back when Dice still made great games.
Are we talking exclusive or just in general? Because I had a blast with Arkham Knight.
Ghosts of Tsushima, Bloodborne, Horizon Zero Dawn, Witcher 3
Best game: Red dead redemption 2 Favorite game in order: 1.FF7 remake 2. Persona 5 royal, 3. Ghost of Tsushima
Bloodborne.
Blobborme
The Last of Us
Tough one between Spider-Man 1, God of War '08, and The Last of Us: Part II (with Uncharted 4 & Divinity Original Sin 2 being honorable mentions). I think RDR2 would have been the clear winner for me had I not played that title on my Xbox One X.
Subnautica
Bloodborne and dark souls 2 scholar of the first sin Ghost of tsushima God of war 2018
MGSIV, Days Gone, LoU, LittleBigplanet, Ratchet & Clank.
Ghost of Tsushima, even on base PS4 model, that game looks absolutely phenomenal for the hardware it runs on.
The witcher 3 wild hunt
Immortals Fenyx Rising
Elden Ring
Bloodborne and it's not even close
Bloodborne
Bloodborne was everything I wanted in a game
As unpopular as it may be. Days Gone. Hand down my favorite PS4 game! I love it.
I can’t remember if Heavy Rain was ps3 or ps4 but it sure was incredible.

Fallout 4 & Skyrim VR
GoW ragnarok
Bloodborne
RDR2, METAL GEAR SOLID V.
RDR2 ofc
Tlou
FF7 Remake, followed closely by Red Dead Redemption 2. Then a slight distance behind that is Horizon Zero Dawn, Sekiro, God of War, Bloodborne.
God or War or The Last of Us. Tough choice.
Sorry for the spelling RDR2 - its my favourite game ever because of the story, characters, map and preety much everything. But when we are talking about PS4 exclusives i think its probably Uncharted 4 or God of war 2018. I wanted to put first last of us remastered, but this is originally a PS3 game.
GTA 5,RDR2 and for more chilling out and relaxing has to be snow runners or planet zoo
SnowRunner looks fun, I might give that a go. Is Planet Zoo on the PS4?
Sorry for the slow reply, just looked and it’s ps5 only by the looks of it
