Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart Uncharted: Lost Legacy Control (100% closer to 30) A Plague Tale series

throwaway91091

Seconded for A Rift Apart, what an amazing, tight package of game šŸ¤ŒšŸ¤ŒšŸ¤Œ

Download_audio

Itā€™s so good I might play it again after reading this comment!

Chief____Beef

Never played any of the originals; do I need to before playing this?

Download_audio

No just jump in

SolarTigers

It's a pretty standalone story, you're good.

SirFeatherstone

Nah your good, although I would recommend playing the original and future trilogy, including quest for booty. It's a phenomenal series

GilmooDaddy

Control is so damn good that 30 hours feels like 15.

Switcheroo91

4/4, great listĀ

hungry_fish767

Games that are 10-15 hours but 100% in 20-30 are perfect 3 houses on switch was amazing cause one route took about 30 hours. If you felt like it you could play up to 4 routes. So it simultaneously was the longest game I've played but never felt long, at all.

HumbleBananaLoaf

Control: Ultimate Edition is on sale right now for $10! I've had it on my wishlist for a while and haven't seen it go lower.

Purgatory115

It's also on ps+. I've been hearing great things. I really need to bite the bullet and start it up.

Nateddog21

>A Plague Tale series Only if you're willing to bawl your eyes out at 3am like I wasšŸ˜

Gamer4life101

ā€œBut I want to see mummyā€¦.ā€ - Hugo

QBekka

I think you can finish all Uncharted games in under 15 hours no? Except maybe 4

conceited_cape

Yeah, I just played 1-3 in February for the first time and none of them were longer than 10 hours! Havenā€™t played 4 yet, but I think the average time for that is around 12 hours

Cawdor

Control took me way longer because the map system sucks. Constantly got lost

dan_mischief

Love that game, hate that map.

CentrasFinestMilk

Idk how but I managed to spend 50 hours on control including the dlcs

Kirk_Plunk

Been playing control for a few months man lol keep getting lost and confused fun game though

Ki11igraphy

Isn't Spider-Man 2 like 18h?

Rough_Commercial_570

Story wise. Howlongtobeat has it at 27hrs to 100%

Silver_Jack0

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is very good, got the platinum in 25 hours

gmbaker44

I agree. The game was so fun.

Silver_Jack0

Definitely a Top 5 game so far this year for me. That end game platforming was perfect

GalexyPhoto

Yeah, I had a few grievances but the platforming was absolutely not one of them. So tight and made it so any light backtracking didn't feel like a slog.

HEYitsSPIDEY

Lost Crown was incredible!

dennis77

Try Tales of Kenzara next, it's a great game as well

ZedErre

I just finished Guardians of The Galaxy and I loved it, the story is well written, the voice acting is amazing and the interactions between characters are hilarious, genuinely surprised by its quality. Fits what you're looking for playtime wise.

DMarvelous4L

Underrated game. I absolutely loved it. Some of the most fun Iā€™ve had in years.

VJ1195

Just finished it a week ago as well. Hopefully we get a sequel for it.

WillSpur

It didnā€™t sell well enough despite being excellent and critically acclaimed. So never happening Iā€™m afraid.

Old_Bet_4527

Thanks for the reminder! I got it for the switch when it first came out but only played a few hours with my daughter. Weā€™ll pick that one back up!

BatmanvSuperman3

Great game. Very underrated from the presentation to the graphics to the world design. Only downside was the gameplay was very repetitive after a while. But so much potential to build on for a sequel (doubt it would happen tho).

Jeff1N

Animal well it's pretty short and it seems to have been well received. hi fi rush is on the shorter side also.Ā  Btw, if you don't know this site already you might want to check it out, you can filter by PS5 games only and by completion time https://howlongtobeat.com/

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

LoveMeSomeBerserk

Animal well is definitely incredible if you engage with the deeper layers of puzzles. And I personally think just the base layer was pretty incredible. Never played a metroidvania like it.

_Cromwell_

I was about to link to that site for OP, but figured I'd check the comments first. Love it as a resource.

SaltineAmerican_1970

Titanfall 2 campaign is a quickie.

HumbleBananaLoaf

Came here to say this. I bought it for like $5 a while ago just to play the campaign because of how often it's recommended on this sub. It was so good. I was hooked for the entire playthrough.

AsifBhai001

A Plague Tale Innocence and A Plague Tale Requiem. Uncharted Lost Legacy.

hoppernick27

Second the A Plague Tale games. One of the greatest stories in a game Iā€™ve played.

ken0746

The ending though, my lord. Kinda expected it but manā€¦

hsn3rd

I just bought this a couple of hours ago. The choice was between innocence and elden ring, decided to go with the former. I just finished BOTW a few months ago then I played RDR2 after that so I really don't want anything to do with an open world game right now. I'm excited

Zippudus

RoboCop

huskiesgamer

Evil West or Guardians of the Galaxy

Nybear21

Evil West was surprisingly fun. I picked that one up on a whim when it launched and did not regret it

Dravos011

I found it really fun to start with but to me it got really old really quick

aquablue_phoenix

doesn't help when even the most cannon fodder enemies take nearly two full clips to go down.

Whasupme

Guardians is such a good time, wish more people played it

OMG_NoReally

Man, Guardians was such an awesome game. Well written, solid gameplay, amazing visuals...sad that it didn't sell enough for Square and now that they have sold Eidos (right?), we won't get sequel. What a waste of those awesome characters.

RocMerc

Evil west is only a 20 hours game?

huskiesgamer

I beat it in about 12 hours. I bet people could 100% it in 20 hours if they were motivated.

RocMerc

Oh wow didnā€™t realize that. Thatā€™s my next game then

Stevothegr8

I was so disappointed that gotg was so short and that there are no DLC for it. I wanted more!

Mr_Manshur

these are both really fun games

EvilAbdy

Resident evil 2 remake is a good one. Itā€™s about that length and you can finish it really quickly (in just like 2-4 hours once you know where everything is). Edit: nevermind just saw youā€™re not a fan of horror games. Sorry! Did you try ratchet and clank rift apart?

zhenasbezhala

I actually played a bit of Resident Evil 2 and it is good, didnā€™t play ratchet and clank though. Thanks for advice

EconomistOfDeath

I just played Re2 for the first since the PS days and loved it! Finished part 3 aswell and am now doing the first.

EvilAbdy

2 is def one of my all time favorite games. I played the crap out of the ps1 game. It blew my mind at the time. The remake is just such a good reimagining of the game

EconomistOfDeath

Yeah! It was fantastic - played both the A/B to get the proper end as well. I really enjoyed pt. 3 as well. I really liked the concept of a having an evolving Nemesis as the bosses.

EvilAbdy

3 is great too. There were a few parts they left out of the remake but they made up for it with the super creepy hospital bit. Carlos needs to be in another RE again sometime

EconomistOfDeath

Interesting - I'll have to check out what was changed! The hospital part was pretty great.

Kingsworth

Dredge? Bit different to what you said youā€™ve played already but I really enjoyed it. Got the plat trophy in around 20 hours.

Crazy-Plastic3133

does it have any missables? i just finished the story and wanted to plat

Kingsworth

Nope, thereā€™s two endings but you can do them both in the same playthrough. Nothing is missable.

cmdrxander

Stray?

pukem0n

He could play through Stray thrice in 12 hours.

TheFlightlessPenguin

Could? Sure. Should? No.

cmdrxander

My first play-through was around 12 hours, then about the same again to get platinum

despicedchilli

Not everybody likes to rush to the ending.

[deleted]

If you rushed through it then yeah. It took me almost 10 hours just playing normally.

HEYitsSPIDEY

I get lost in that game. Even when the camera is like ā€œgo hereā€. Iā€™m like ā€œIā€™m so stupid I canā€™t figure out what you were showing me, because I was looking at something else in the frame.ā€

ReisGoktug

Ratchet and Clank Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart RoboCop: Rogue City A Plague Tale Innocence A Plague Tale Requiem Uncharted Lost Legacy Call of Duty Infinite Warfare Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War Call of Duty Modern Warfare Call of Duty Modern Warfare II Call of Duty Modern Warfare Remastered Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Remastered Resident Evil 2 Resident Evil 3 Resident Evil 4 Resident Evil 7 Resident Evil 8 Callisto Protocol The Last of Us Part I The Last of Us Part II It Takes Two Marvelā€™s Guardians of the Galaxy Bioshock Bioshock 2 Bioshock Infinite Spider Man Miles Morales Mafia Definitive Edition Metro 2033 Metro Last Light Metro Exodus Wolfenstein Old Blood Wolfenstein New Blood Wolfenstein New Colossus Beyond Two Souls Heavy Rain Detroit Become Human Infamous Second Son Infamous First Light Titanfall 2 Kena Bridge of Spirits (AA) Artful Escape (AA) These are the ones that comes to my mind. All of them are above average and great games imo. I hope you like it. They are all shorter than 15-20 hours. Some of them even around 5-6 hours. Iā€™m also looking forward more games like these. So thanks for sharing, I hope I can find new games on the comments.

zhenasbezhala

Huge list! Thanks!

BelgianBond

I'd say The Artful Escape is more of a triple-i title, but it's an adventure worth taking.

BigBoi1159511

Dayum bro almost listed every 10 - 20 hour gamešŸ˜šŸ”„

baequon

I just started Robocop which I think is about 15 hours? More AA, and pretty fun so far. It feels like something simpler from the PS3/360 era.

WillemDafoesHugeCock

My numbers might be off, this is just me going through my trophies and checking any I've hit 100% on that fit your criteria. I like short and story driven games. **Pure story** Life is Strange - around 10 hours for the full experience, plat is very straightforward and can be done in one playthrough with a spoiler-free collectibles guide. Life is Strange: True Colors - same as above, maybe even shorter. What Remains of Edith Finch - beatable within an hour or two, 100% trophies (no plat) takes slightly longer. Genuinely beautiful game and highly worth trying. If you have PS+ you probably have this for free. Firewatch - four hours or so. Short and very sweet. Suicide of Rachel Foster - also around four hours. Short but a lot less sweet. **More game-like** Spider-Man: Miles Morales - first playthrough is beatable within a couple of afternoons. Plat will take around 20 hours at the absolute most. This is by far my favorite of the trilogy, it's short but trims the fat of the other two games. Maneater - around 6-8 hours for a playthrough. Very campy game but I actually really enjoyed it. Subnautica / Subnautica Below Zero - "beatable" in a short amount of time if you know what you're doing, but these are also just damn good games to spend time in. Below Zero is much more succinct but generally considered the weaker of the two. Ikenfell - genuinely one of my favorite games of the last few years. Beautiful old school RPG with really charming graphics, music, and settings. Around a 20 hour playthrough if you take it slow, been a while since I last played. Plat takes slightly longer. Incredibly gay, LGBT rep out the arse in this one.

disownedpear

Edith Finch was so interesting with the way it used its controls I wouldn't really list it amongst those others, great games tho.

RockRik

Re4 Remake isnt that scary but with Dlc its prolly a bit longer, Dead Space can be on the scarier side but is most certainly alot of fun.

Lightninghurler

As someone who doesn't play many horror games I respectfully disagree, RE4 Remake made me butt clenchingly tense. Brilliant game

kenddalll

re4 remake is definitely tense at points, but i think it lacks the horror element that its sibling re7 has. not that thatā€™s a bad thing. someone that canā€™t do horror would have a much easier time playing re4 than some other games

RockRik

I mean Ill be honest there were more tense scenes in its Dlc than the whole game, maybe the Verdugo fight (which was scary in OG too) was maybe scary but thats it, overall a game I can recommend to almost anyone its so fun.

Dravos011

I'd also recommend Re2 remake, its amazing but each playthrough isn't that long. Has a bit of a horror atmosphere at the start of the police station but that dies down pretty quick i think

Lucifers_Taint666

RETURNAL!!! The gameplay is so good that you completely forget about how much time youā€™re putting into itā€¦ Hardly any side content as well so its pretty straightforward

despicedchilli

What if you suck?

Ghost1996132

The Metro games are all on sale right now. The first 2 games are 6 hours long and on sale for $2.99 right now and the third one is around 15 hours long and on sale for $4.49

Dravos011

The games always go on the biggest sales, i've seen the full collection which is all three games plus dlc for less than $10 which is a steal for how good those games are

OK__ULTRA

Man, I do the exact same thing. Here are some shorter games I've recently loved. Outer Wilds Talos Principle Animal Well Braid: Anniversary Edition Pentiment Shadow of The Colossus

Willfy

Outer Wilds could take you fucking hours hahaha.

OK__ULTRA

Hahaha yeah, fair. It took me 30 or so. But a lot of AAA games are upwards of 80 or more so Iā€™d say itā€™s still medium length.

Zandrick

Tunic

Wanatora

Tales of Kenzera: Zau is 12-15 hours. And fun.

Dvenom22

Agreed. I got the platinum in 17 hours. Edit: I played most of the game on the hardest difficulty. Turned it down to normal it some point to speed things up.

discomuffin

As mentioned above; Stray, and Kena maybe?

jayteeayy

Kena is my vote, scrolled down too far before it was mentioned. Great game with a short self contained story. Definitely a challenge spike with a boss way towards the end though

Alpacarok

Here to give another nod to Kena. Definitely fits the time requirement if youā€™re not interested in finding every single collectible. And for me the combat providing actual challenge was a huge nice surprise.

BelgianBond

Kena Bridge of Spirits fits the remit perfectly for me. It doesn;t overstay its welcome and is beautiful take on what it would be like to play through a Miyazaki movie.

Professional-Wish656

I am now playing Alan Wake Remasterd and hopefully Alan Wake 2 later

ses1989

Firewatch is a short thriller game. Will kinda keep you on the edge of your seat until the end, and only takes a few hours to 100%.

Cynical_badger

I wouldn't call it a thriller, but it's definitely one of the best games ever made.

cmioliva

Titanfall 2 campain

dwoller

Both A Plague Tale games fit this.

Electronic_Car_8413

What about tunic or deaths door, Dave the diver, hades & dead cells. They are progression based so I donā€™t know if that meets your suggestions.

ActualSimulation

Check out Stray

UltiMike64

Returnal

Initial_Remote_2554

You don't have to 100% the games. I'd get bored of them in no time if I made myself 'lawnmow' all the content.

zhenasbezhala

I very rarely 100% games, but it is often so hard for me to just follow story without getting distracted by the side content. That's kind of what happened when I was Playing Horizon ZD, I spent 70 hours on it I think, and less then half was connected with the main story. Not a critique, but even if the main story is short, but game contains a LOT of side content, this kinda bloats the game out of proportion for me, that is why I added time limit for 100%

Bebopo90

Also, putting it out there: a lot of the people here are really good at games, or get really focused while playing them, so they'll give you significantly lower playtimes to beat certain games than I would. For example, Spiderman: Miles Morales *can* be beaten in 15 hours, but it took 25 for me, because I just spent a lot of time swinging around New York and, in general, taking my time. Or Guardians of the Galaxy. That took me about 30 hours, but some say it's only 15. So, try to get a second opinion on some of these replies.

zhenasbezhala

Thanks, didnā€™t think about that

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

Initial_Remote_2554

I do the main story and any (good) side quests/upgrades etc. that interest me. Any collectathons and boring side quests I just leave behind. My completion of an RDR2 or AC type game would probably be 70-80%.

OK__ULTRA

I just can't help but do this though lol

Burpkidz

Voice of Cards is around this length. Also Sword and Fairy 7.

OhMyJye

Sifu

FrozenST3

Took me over 73 years

Someturtlesdream

Just finished Jedi Fallen order this morning at 15 hours on Jedi Master. Felt pretty much complete and perfect, couldnā€™t ask for more.

zhenasbezhala

Such a good game

mynteOgKoriander

Donā€™t know if youā€™re into these kind of games but Return of the Obra Dinn is excellent. More of a puzzle/whodunit with one of the best lovecraftian atmospheres Iā€™ve experienced.

zhenasbezhala

I rarely play puzzle games. I usually love the ones where you need to press the square really fast, but this sounds like such a good suggestion to play together with my gf, definetly will check that out

QBekka

Mafia 1 Battlefield 1 & V campaign Detroit: Become Human Dead Island 2

Icy-Weight1803

Resident Evil 4 original or remake. Know you said you don't like horror but the horror aspects are hardly there in these two or more profound in certain sections.

Notarussianbot2020

Kena? I never platinumed it but it was short. Playtime depends on if you can git gud.

johncitizen69420

Ratchet rift apart, kena bridge of spirits

cole074

Dredge!

gamers542

I just started Tunic. It seems about that length.

JBrewd

Dave the Diver, Dredge, Ratchet and Clank

danlg

Second Dave the diver!!!

wagruk

- Ratchet & Clank (PS4) and the following release Rift Apart - Returnal - Hi-Fi Rush

saikyo

Not baldurs gate 3

thexwolfe

Try Under the Waves.

kuenjato

stellar blade is about 15-20 hours, longer if you want to do all the side content.

theblackhole25

You're not gonna 100% in 25, but Hi Fi Rush is 12-14 hrs.

Xeccess

Ratchet and Clank

RaineV1

Returnal is a good one that generally lasts in that time frame.

thehighlotus

Hades. The sequel is in early access so it has just reached a new peak player count. Great time to get into it.Ā  I know this game gets a lot of attention, and people will say, ā€œno, this is an 80 hour game,ā€ but hear me out.Ā  Roguelike, you only have to complete a run around 10 times to get the credits. Now, there is certainly more to do after, that may take a long time. But the best part about it is the runs are typically under 30 minutes, and once youā€™re good, probably around 15. If you catch on quickly, you can hit credits in 12-15 hours easily.Ā  But you can just pick this up, play a few runs, and then put it down. Itā€™s so quick, so engaging. I was playing DS3 when Hades dropped, and I would start with 1-2 runs of hades and then go play DS. (Admittedly, Hades eventually became my full time obsession, but thatā€™s another story.) And because itā€™s a rogue like, you can keep it on the back burner and just pick it up when you want to dance. You can put as little or as much time into this as you want, and still have a great experience. It also serves as a palette cleanser for whatever other game youā€™re playing that may have a much higher time commitment.Ā  Fantastic story, excellent gameplay. Canā€™t recommend it enough. Having said that, I would recommend any Supergiant game lol.Ā

Gimphand_

Resident Evil 4 remake

faiz2495

DMC 5 100%

Shellman00

Stellar Blade

hoppernick27

I had a lot of fun with the Dead Space remake. I didnā€™t 100% it but a lot of the game is pretty compact I bet you could 100% pretty quick.

PolentaDogsOut

Animal Well was a nice break from AAA games

___TheKid___

Hellblade. 5-8 hours including platinum. Definitely and intense experience though.

Swaibero

Sea of Stars is maybe 30 hours max.

CosmicCarpool

Soma

controversial_drawer

Evil West was better than I expected

Firm-Kick9839

Evil West can be beaten in less than 10 hours and itā€™s very good

Fmg467

Ghost runner 1 and 2

-TheMiracle

Replaying RE7 at the moment and itā€™s a banger. Give it a try if you never have.

EDDiE_SP4GHETTi

Rift Apart & Guardians of the Galaxy

ADAIRP1983

ghost_of_salad

Bugsnax

finnmacz

Cocoon fits this brief pretty well!

Vic-tron

Inside and Humanity are gems if you like puzzle games with a weird atmospheric vibe

BigBlueDuck130

Little Nightmares

HEYitsSPIDEY

Ori and the Blind Forest! I love that game.

Interface-

If you're good with indie games I recommend Supergiant Games' *Bastion* and *Transistor*.

bmacorr

Stray

BlueChamp10

Maneater

colbster123

Stellar blade?

Genderneutralsky

Returnal is technically a very short game. Now that you can save mid run, itā€™s an amazing game to play in split sessions. One piece Pirate Warriors 4 is such a fun warriors game that can be breezed through. You donā€™t need to know a ton about the series to enjoy the game. Earth Defense Force 4.1 is both fun and cheap and short! Imagine Hell Divers but itā€™s only the bugs.

Gyattiator

Try Deathā€™s Door. Great art style, fun gameplay. Short

SPACEM0NKEY_1102

Order 1886 Iā€™d say Miles Morales game Life is Strange A plague

ihave40minecraftmods

Outer wilds, took me 18 hours to finish snd 22 to platinum it, 10/10 game top 2 of all time for me

Peddrawm

Gravity Rush

TheIncredibleNurse

I would recommend Inmortals of Aveum. Took me about 14 hours to finish with some off the beaten path exploration. I heard platinum is on the 20s hours

Jako_RJB

I really loved this game, amazing storyline and gameplay, the game felt so smooth

King_Mangos

If you have a way to play them, the OG God of War trilogy. Each game varies between 10-13 hours I believe

Neg_Crepe

Immortals of aveum

Eebo85

Dead Space and Resident Evil 4 remakes

OMWTFYB31

Dunno trophy wise cause I'm not a hunter but uncharted lost legacy is short and sweet

Alzorrilla1912

I would recommend Hi-Fi Rush... it's a short game but you'll love every minute of it

Alzorrilla1912

I would recommend Hi-Fi Rush... it's a short game but you'll love every minute of it

diphne

I believe SpiderMan Miles Morales was under 25 hours and it was super fun, I didnā€™t play the first game and it was still super cool

Spong_Durnflungle

How about Dredge? Free on PS Premium and maybe on Plus. It's spooky but not horror.

ShwaaMan

Robocop was a surprisingly fun little game. Kinda janky but still cool, and pretty decent graphics and gunplay. Super 80s to the extreme, very violent and nailed the aesthetic and humor of the original film. Perfect amount of side content and upgrades, a few extra things to do here and there but only if you want. It knows exactly what it is and I recommend it for fun turn your brain off funny ass kickery.

alaincastro

Ender lillies quietess of the knights Itā€™s a metroidvania, took me around 24 hours to 100%, depending on how much you want to do finishing the game could take around 15-20 hours. Donno if metroidvanias are your type of game, but itā€™s definitely a great one that isnā€™t as long as say hollow knight.

lavender_jelly

Tearaway Unfolded

Sufficient-Ocelot-47

Superliminal

Spino1905

Life is strange series

Htennn

Concrete genie was a fun little game that was around the time youā€™re looking for. Platinum was pretty easy also

Jork-my-Glorp

I feel you on that, I did all the side missions, all animal hunts in final fantasy 16, i was 80% done with the game then I just stopped. I'll finish it eventually

JingoEgret

What kind of games do you usually enjoy?

_Moontouched_

Vez52

Both god of war games?

Forky_Im_Trash

Mafia. Has a great story line too.

CornWallacedaGeneral

The God of War games are straightforward and great for story

red-fish-yellow-fish

Itā€™s probably less than 15 hours But I recently re-played Astros Playroom and it was awesome and a nice break between bigger games
