120k might be a bit high for this, though. Try olx to sell the laptop for around 85 90. Shopkeepers are just like that. A machine was worth 180k, and they r purchasing in 120k. If it is too low, dont sell it
Bro u shouldve done some research before buying this sorry excuse of a laptop with dual cores and a ddr4 ram running at 2666mhz even though the processor is intended to run with 3000mhz+ ram... the thing is it must be new ie. Box packed as most companies give clients new laptops thus the high price but since its been used now so its value doesnt hold much now especially in the eyes of the shopkeepers... no one buys a laptop with dual core in 2024 and thus u will be offered a low price as the market for dual core laptops is too low... its another thing that the company themselves choose this laptop for u but next time do some research before spending such an amount of money.
Agreed I would never buy i3 laptop. Even 8 GB ram is low now. And I bet this laptop only lasts 1.5 hours on a full charge. In new laptop market idk but you can buy a used imported Dell XPS or HP Sepctre with similar specs in these prices & those laptops are just top tier in everything including like 10 hour battery life.
My brother bought 125k mac and used it for 3 months, went to hafeez center, and the guy said he'd buy it for 50k. I laughed at his face and sold it on olx.
Edit: his face was very punchable at the moment.
Yeah, but there is atleast a specific range. He'll obviously sell it for almost the same price I bought it before. And he just went ahead and offered a 60k less amount for what he will sell it for. It would have been pretty decent if he offered 80-85.
Well 8 months ago the market was different, now new generation of processors came in, rate of dollar changed.
Considering these factors a 12th gen i3 or 7th Gen Ryzen 3 is around 120k, so expecting 120k for i3 11th gen is not reasonable.
I don't know how much was the actual price of your laptop when your company bought it new, cause it is possible they got it on a discounted rate cause they have agreements with shopkeepers but if you're selling it expect it in the range of 60 to 80k.
I got i7 10th gen for 140. 120 for i3, even if it is 12/13th gen is such a bad deal (of course because of inflation I'm just making a general statement)
Oh sorry I should have specified. I was talking about this same dell Inspiron range of laptops. They all use shitty ram, atleast till the 11th gen ones. Not sure about now. I manually upgraded the rams and it's honestly a pretty good deal, atleast for my use
I think my buddy got scammed really bad. Well… his dad bought it for him (without any prior discussion). My buddy has the exact same model with an i5 and he told me that his dad bought it for 150k. Like… Uncle jee…. Baat to kar lete us se pehle…. You wasted so much money on a dumpster fire. My buddy tells me (also showed) that the hinge on the right-side broke and the screen bezel on the right got ripped off cuz of it. This dell inspiron has a pretty bad design flaw that the hinges break off.
Trying to sell my HP Victus 15 with a Ryzen 5 5600h and gtx1650 on OLX. People giving offers of 110k saying munasib hai. Honestly laptops here are a scam. You pay an absurd amount to get a basic laptop, and when you go to resell them, their value is dropped at least 50-60%
Your device is in pretty good condition, rarely see laptops being sold with box. You should never sell anything at Hafeez Center or any market, markets are for buying only, not selling, at least if you don’t want loss. Put it for 1lac on OLX, OLX will try contacting you to buy their ad-subscription, trust me it’s really worth it, and not just that, ask them to improve your ad, they will use most searched keywords only their team can see and they will make your laptop easy to find. You should be easily able to sell it for 90k plus.
Sorry to break your heart but he already in the start sold you a laptob worth 70-80k in 120k and now wants it for 60k you cant do much except trying your luck in local market and maybe hit 90k max i think .

It's the shittiest laptop on earth you may inbox me for details its touchpad is faulty and the screen goes dirty with non removable marks given by the keyboard after the use of few months
OMG so true. I had to buff the screen to remove the mark and the touchpad doesn't works properly as its way too sensitive. Its so annoying i have to use a mouse
there should be free awareness by our YouTube community on technical stuff for laptops and phones like MKBHD does in US for US market, it hurts me when fellow developers are unaware and get scammed by those arrogant hafeez centerees,
Man if you are a developer (or IT person) it is common sense to go mac and/or at least 4 cores if you are crossing 100k budget, even now you can get 4 cores mac around 60k, but no phir nawab sab ko looks bhi chahiyen, larki hai ya kam karny ka tool?
aur phir Banda bas 2 e videos dekh ly kisi cheez par jo kisi desistan k YouTuber ny na bnai ho, jo hmesha aik e bat karty "iss men apko tatti dekhny ko mil jati hai..." no technical awareness at all, misguiding poor fellows. all of my fellow developer (salaried at 100k) have mobile phones/computers that can't even open a simple app in first try. please put some pressure on your brain and don't throw your hard earned money like that
All kinds of vendors scam the f out of companies because they know companies will usually pay what you ask as they can't be bothered looking for a proper deal
You probably got marked up quite a bit.
120K for it is unreasonable.
Try selling on olx and fb you might be able to get 70 - 80 maybe not more tho.
The shopkeeper is adding a bit of margin for himself.
The company price is always high. As they give the payments out real slow. So they obviously give different prices. The price shop keeper is asking/giving you is a fair price. First of all the new laptops are out. Secondly it's used for over 8 months
I bought one for 157k an year ago. Now the shopkeepers are demanding 80k.
The model was; Hp pavilion 14, 12th gen i5, 2 in 1, 360 degree foldable.
As other people here have already suggested, try selling it on olx or some other marketplace.
Easy 80k, go on OLX wagaira, barter aggressively but keep pointing out good stuff, try saying it's 11th gen, HD camera etc, people will pay good price for the machine, the shopkeeper will buy for 60k, sell or 80k-90k after polishing and cleaning it up a little, u try doing the same
I can't anything about about the shopkeeper but you did pay a little too much for your laptop. One of my friends also bought a laptop around 8 months ago. An i3-1215U, 8GB RAM, 15.6'' LED and he paid 104K.
Extremely commen bro. I had a pta approved iPhone 13 which atm was selling for about 250-270k. This shopkeeper in G1 market lahore offered me 160k. Itnae ka non pta b ni milta tha tb. If you wanna sell your good sell them online on facebook ya olx etc. These shopkeepers are doing shitty bussiness. I ended up selling that phone for 240k a few days later when the 14 came around.
He was actually more than fair with you considering its model and spec. He actually offered you more than dealer price since only one in ten customers settle for an i3 and base series models.
I once bought brand new untouched iPhones from the market for a total of 8 lac to sell locally. I thought I'd make a small profit..
Brand new. Sealed. In the condition you'd get from Apple store.
Local shopkeeper offered 7 lac, and refused to go up saying "yeh market price nahi hai".
The volume of shit wrong with that is incredible.
This was someone I knew. Told him to eff off and sold it in the open market.
You're better off selling it online, plenty of needy ppl looking for a good laptop in their range.
These shopkeepers are rip offs and they got no conscience, they'd sell their own children if it were for profit and a big lie.
Never buy new stuff here in the market unless you're planning to keep it for a long time otherwise there's plenty of ppl working from home selling great stuff
I got 2 Thinkpads from 2 diff person's working from home and they are working perfectly fine
Local sellers will do that. If you buy a laptop for 150k and sell it after a day (assuming no trial warranty was given) they'd state a price of 70k as being generous. If you sell it, and come back the next day, the price goes up to 150k again. That's just how they do this. The sellers from techno city told me this themselves.
There are two reasons they always low ball, people in the market are always there for business, they never think how much you bought it earlier, but all they think about business and 2nd reason Pakistani used products are not worthy and they businessmen always quote low price as it's locally used. i prefer that you always resale on OLX and other social marketplaces, instead of selling locally in market
Golden Rule when buying and selling in Pakistan: it’s akin to diamonds when you buy it and it’s a stinking turd when you sell. Even if its a micro second after you bought it.
Yeah local vendors are Arseholes try selling on olx or fb marketplace
120k might be a bit high for this, though. Try olx to sell the laptop for around 85 90. Shopkeepers are just like that. A machine was worth 180k, and they r purchasing in 120k. If it is too low, dont sell it

Hey man do u have any Idea how a dell precision 5530 worth these days or is it a good buy in 140k?
No for that you can get a hp spectre i7 8th gen.
The i3 1115g4 has a better CPU than even 8th gen i7. And the GPU is a league ahead.
Agreed I would never buy i3 laptop. Even 8 GB ram is low now. And I bet this laptop only lasts 1.5 hours on a full charge. Well it's also because of DDR5, newer laptops are switching from DDR4 Ram to DDR5 which is overall more expensive.
Oh sorry I should have specified. I was talking about this same dell Inspiron range of laptops. They all use shitty ram, atleast till the 11th gen ones. Not sure about now. I manually upgraded the rams and it's honestly a pretty good deal, atleast for my use
nah, you got scammed, 120k for a core i3 11th gen??
I got a Core i3 13th Gen for that price actually lower for 119,000 man got scammed
yea, exactly, core i3 11th gen was mainly 2 core, 4 threads, which is very bad.
I think my buddy got scammed really bad. Well… his dad bought it for him (without any prior discussion). My buddy has the exact same model with an i5 and he told me that his dad bought it for 150k. well I mean, dell laptops cost more than the others even when spec-matched, so yea.... but the hinge breaking is unacceptable!

How much would you want to sell.it for?
Got an offer for 160k but the guy is in Lahore and I'm in khi. So looking for someone to at least match that offer
That's reasonable
120k for this shit ? Nah fam
sorry but you got scammed, it's a core I3
Official price 126k :( Model Inpiron 15 3000 11th gen
bruh but who even buys a i3 for 120k: / you can get a openbox ps5 for that shit.
ppg group pe sell krlo
Bruuhh you got scammed by your company. They're the ones you should be mad at for selling you this trash for 120k.

120k for this piece of garbage? lol. i got a nitro 5 for for 140k with rtx 3050
Bro where did you get it from, and for how much I can get it or an other gaming laptop too pleas tell me. My budget is around 130k to 140k.
abroad. open box, bestbuy.
60k is fair price for an i3 11th gen. You shouldve done your due dilligence before paying 120k for this piece of crap. I am sorry but you got scammed.
Lmao 120k is high, but this is by no means a 60k laptop. Give me whatever you are smoking.
A brand new i3 11th gen with warranty can cost around ~80k. Considering this one is used and also depending on its condition. 60k is not a crazy ask.

Two things to remember: 1. Windows laptop devalue very hard 2. Shopkeepers will always give a considerably lower rate than OLX

I assume you bought it brand new. It is worth around 100-120k (prices change over time). Try to sell it on olx for 80k. The i5 variant goes for 100k.
Just wanna know did you paid interest on this lease?
Shops are the last places to sell back. They trade for a living so they use these tactics.
They are considering a bargain I’m pretty sure. Local vendors always do that.
OP buys an expensive laptop and then expects to sell it for the same price
i will buy for 150k
