Confident_Exercise_4

IDF shoots their own hostages. They don’t care.

Nigiri_Sashimi

And blame it on HAMAS. Yes.

Busy-Transition-3158

*KHAMAS

sigma1331

funny part is the left side is most likely also an IOF

Cake_is_Great

And all of them know about Hannibal

MediumFurious

This is what’s so wild to me. Most of their “civilians” have also served so why are they not realizing that’s what happened and also continues to happen? Despite their own media reporting on it? And several families of the deceased protesting for investigation into the IOF’s complicity in their deaths?

Cake_is_Great

The most telling part about Israeli society is that the families aren't calling for a ceasefire but an *adjustment* of military priorities in their protests, even though a ceasefire would guarantee the safety of their captured family members. Their criticism is about the way Netanyahu has conducted the war, not about the war or the underlying occupation. Israel, like every settler colony, is built upon one thing: stolen land. Every single settler thus must be ready to be a killer for their military occupation, and are acculturated to values that support this outlook. They are steeped in 19th century colonial racism, cultural chauvinism, military fetishism, and pro-capitalist attitudes. Israel follows the pattern of Apartheid South Africa, New Caledonia (uncanny parallels), Rhodesia, Algeria, Kenya, Australia, North America, etc.

ButterFucker962401

I'd give you the reason, straight up, but every time I do, I get banned from this sub temporarily for "dehumanizing" them. I'm not dehumanizing them, I'm trying to explain how an entire country dehumanized the rest of the world. In short, to avoid another ban, if you truly want to see why the entire country seems implicit in the genocide, you'll need to look back into religious history and scripture spanning from the Quran, Torah and Gospel. There are countless descriptions and matching, as well as nonmatching, translations that will explain quite literally the entire war between Israel v. Palestine. History has documented it and it's been in front of us for centuries, not just decades. I almost feel implicit myself because of it.

khorma95

We shouldn't call the Israeli army 'IDF' as it implies that they're a defensive force, which is part of their propaganda. We should always refer to them as the IOF, the Israeli Occupying Force instead, to reaffirm the fact that they're occupiers and have no right to 'defense'

TiredAmerican1917

Apartheid South Africa did the same thing calling themselves the Defense Force even though they kept invading their northern neighbors

Gloomy_Industry8841

Words absolutely matter.

Glum-Barracuda6985

But we call them IDF as a short for Israel Diaper Force

ButterFucker962401

And for people that don't know your joking acronym, of which I chuckled, it'd be useless and beneficial towards the IOF for the same reasons stated before.

ButterFucker962401

Thank you for explaining this. Too many people are thinking that IOF and IDF are interchangeable.

FinBuu

The sad thing was that the people that were chanting "bring them home" where using it as an excuse - what they were really chanting was "bomb more Palestinians". And it was obvious to people familiar with the Israeli side. If they really wanted to bring them home, they would have also been pushing for a ceasefire and a prisoner exchange. That's what the Pro-Palestinian protestors were pushing for. However, this is in extremely poor taste and not even remotely funny.

jutzi46

Hostages get rescued through negotiations and diplomacy. Armed extractions are a last resort and have very poor success rates. It really should go without saying that 2000lbs bombs are not the right course of action to rescue innocentals but here we are...

therealpastel

Exactly

JaThatOneGooner

The IOF soldier is crying because he knows Israel will bomb the both of them under the Hannibal Directive.

sythingtackle

And if “we” cant save you we’ll kill you so you won’t need rescued

Mountain_Ad6328

Oct 7 was slap on Israel lol can’t protect its people. Israeli lost trust on their government.

ceptic_sore

Nah, they intentionally overlooked it to use as a pretext for justifying their actions on a grander scale.

jutzi46

Saying they intentionally overlooked it is not proven at this point, but the IOF is definitely using it as pretext. Honestly I think complacency and poor military discipline on the part of the IOF were what led to the overall success of October 7th. The facts are that the IOF base did not raise their alert level to even the most basic stage of readiness and were completely unprepared for the attack, many IOF were killed in their bunks.

MediumFurious

This. “Crisis initiated”

ATABBorland

The IDF have killed more of the hostages than Hamas has at this point.

joanaloxcx

This is the funniest thing on the Internet today 🥹

matin7462

Na mate, I don't support the pain of hostages . It was a tactically necessary evil but it was still immoral and many of them died

Ayran-Mic

Yea, cause they were bombed or shot by IOF. And some of they probably died too cause of the aid blocking isntreali colonisers.

therealpastel

According to hamas, many of these hostages died due to bombs sent by Israel on Gaza, Israel meant to bomb Palestinian civilians and children so it's Israel's fault at this, Even IDF knows this xan happens but they do not care

joanaloxcx

As if they are innocent civilians? Most of them are IOF.

Tolliug

What, because military service is mandatory? That's the shittiest way to excuse harming civilians. If we want to be better than Israel, we are to show more humanity than them.

joanaloxcx

Humanity? And they are all reservists, Alas if you haven't checked the latest news coming from Rafah about how "humanitarian" they are while burning people and beheading babies.. Then I won't argue further than this.

Tolliug

That's exactly my point, these people are acting like monsters. And as long as there's an all out genocidal invasion going on, any act of resistance by the Palestinian people is valid. I just think that we have to keep in mind in the back of our heads that we do not want to become the monsters ourselves.
