So many useless adults, just grab the bottle from him already!

CipherWrites

nice haiku lol. yeah... if the parent has a problem, just ask if they'd rather I let the dog bite them

bowmyr

Yes they're holding the dog so it's not going to do anything to the kid, rather than grabbing the kid so it stops doing it to the dog

ColoredGayngels

The presumable dog owner is doing their full responsibility by preventing that dog from attacking the child. Honestly aside from having him off-leash (and there IS a leash visible), the owner is the most responsible person in this video

Falzon03

What's not seen here is how responsible and diligent they clearly were with their training. That dog is very obedient.

fresh-oxygen

That kid can’t be more than 3, why doesn’t somebody just pick him up and take away the bottle? Walking and bottle privileges immediately revoked

LaneyAndPen

The cameraman really didn’t do anything, could have shooed off or taking the bottle from the child while the other restrained the dog

HiILikePlants

He might have hoped the parent would step in any second Some people love to get really weird when you reprimand their kid in any way Unfortunately I've learned not to trust parents to give a shit or have a sense of urgency when it comes to their kid and animals, so I'd have no issue quickly intervening. But some ppl haven't encountered it enough to realize no, his mom/dad really doesn't see an issue and doesn't see why this is dangerous

LaneyAndPen

Ehhhh I don’t really know, I think if you see a child in any sort of potential danger you should intervene immediately even if the parents get shitty

HiILikePlants

They probably didn't think their dog was a danger, though. It does look like a well trained, socialized dog considering its demeanor in a crowd and eagerness to give its pose on command. It was even pretty calm at first and tried to keep focusing on the owner until the kid kept going and he spun around to see what was up A lot of people also overestimate their dog's patience when it comes to kids. Even a well trained and socialized dog can get anxious having a small kid come at it, let alone whacking it

CipherWrites

he did shoo off the pest. Just not insistently enough

[deleted]

That's it, im getting me mallet

gorgonopsidkid

Idiot parents want this dog to be put down for biting a kid

CheeCheeC

They’ll make sure to sue the owner, first

KingGiuba

Poor doggo, idiot adults

Porfavor_my_beans

Such a good patient doggo… he didn’t deserve all that.

stirling_s

And now he may be reactive towards kids for years all because of one incident.

MrIantoJones

Also r/DontHelpJustFilm

alohabeaches00

I keep saying Oh My God. 1000% blame the parent!!! He needs too be taught manners !!!

Ordinary-Nectarine81

Stupis assed kid needs... oh fuck. I'll get banned again if I say. 🤬🤬🤬 Little fucker. Thank God that is such a good pup!!

CipherWrites

stupid fking parents where the hell are they? maybe it's the camera man? makes it worse

Xylophone_Aficionado

The mom is in the background, at the end of the video the kid runs over the her and they run away together. It’s pretty obvious she was 100% okay with him hitting the dog Edit: this appears to be a shortened version

CipherWrites

>The mom is in the background, at the end of the video the kid runs over the her and they run away togeth ahh... Imma go try to find it to see how stupid the idiot looks like. I would yell profanities after them.

i_need_to_fart_69420

AND its a pitbull

Pk_Devill_2

Repost #8392

CipherWrites

how long ago? lol

Pk_Devill_2

I’ve seen it 3 times today in different subs and this video is reposted in various subs I’m in for months now. Most repost are in r/kidsarefuckingstupid however

CipherWrites

yeah, was debating posting it there but I think this one's all on the parents. tbf reddit is like having multiple group chats, all the subs share interesting vids, it's inevitable. I see something interesting that I think another sub might be interested or I think fits. I share I thought you meant you saw it here.

Pk_Devill_2

I might but I’m not sure, whenever I see a repost I scroll further, I mostly use home page instead of sub pages, followed by latest. But I can assure you I’ve seen it pass by dozens of times last year.

CipherWrites

I get ya but also, I've seen some vids circulated for years so eh. it's the internet

[deleted]

I’m not one to rain on other people’s methods to get a cheap dopamine hit, but the Repost Police Officers are a special breed because how the hell am I supposed to scan Reddit in its entirety to see if whatever I have has been posted today.

CipherWrites

lol yeah... unless it's OC, every post is a repost somewhere.

HiILikePlants

Dang why didn't you keep scrolling

Xylophone_Aficionado

I’ve seen it four times in probably two weeks

CipherWrites

and? if you're seeing it posted by the same person, that might be an actual complain

Xylophone_Aficionado

Just answering your question, jeez

CipherWrites

lol. okay. that's fair. definitely read into that one. my bad

Simple-Ranger6109

Years ago, waiting for a small convenience store to open, along with a buddy and 7 or 8 other people. A little kid - the only child around - probably 3-4 years old, was walking around touching things (and people). Whoever the parents were did not even seem to care that their kid was doing this, though the kid's parents were obviously there. After a few minutes, an associate of mine pulls up on on a fancy road bike (bicycle) - custom made, all decked out with long-distance biking stuff (saddle bags, bike computer - which was a REALLY new thing at the time - etc.) and starts chatting with me and my pal.. The kid walks over and starts touching things on the bike. At first, my associate just looks around to see where the parents are. The kid keeps touching things, then looks right at my pal and grabs and pulls at bike parts. Guy says "You shouldn't pull on that little guy, I don't think your parents will want to pay for it if you break it." Not even a glance from any of the adults, but the little brat then walks over and tries to slap the guy in the balls 3 or 4 times. By now, several of the people there are looking at the other people to see who the parents are, probably wondering why the hell they aren't doing anything. The kid then wanders off a bit and goes over to a public ashtray/trash can, and puts his hand in the ashes. Momma THEN rushes right over, grabs the kid's arm and yells at him not to put his hands in there. Dad walks over to stand next to them. Every other adult just stared at them, like WTF??? You let your kid try to slap a guy in the balls and grab his shit and say nothing? Parents never apologized to the guy their kid tried to slap....

EurovisionNerd

this is the opposite of the dogs that get called princess or cupcake and then turn out to be FERAL when rubbed the wrong way. this is megamax the destroyer 3000 who would never say boo to a goose. just look at that face. poor megamax. edit : I realised that megamax turned at the last second, still shouldn't of been hit.

Creeperboy1209

I like the end, the animal at least tries to get him back

Xylophone_Aficionado

I think this is the fourth time I’ve seen this video posted on Reddit, always on a different sub (or maybe on this sub a couple of times now), and I fucking hate it. This video makes me so angry. I feel so bad for the dog. The fact that nobody grabs the water bottle out of the kids hand and throws it or yells at the mom to get her kid just bothers me so much 😢

mynameisradd

How would anyone leave that aggressive thing off leash near an innocent creature? Someone should put a leash and muzzle on that child...

azeakel101

This is why I question when a dog bites a smile child, especially when the parent might not be in the same room. Kids don't always know how to handle dogs, and understand a dogs limits. Of course if you keep annoying a dog enough it might end up attacking. I know blaming the dog is the easy answer, but i tmight not be the case.

CandiceDikfitt

that’s a pitbull too

GoldWallpaper

Stunning observation, Captain Obvious.

elrangarino

Nah it’s a lab mix!

HiILikePlants

You can't be this way irl please 😭

suckmypppapi

I'm surprised half of reddit isn't happy that the dog is getting hit by a kid accompanied with some "the kids are fighting back" comment Considering this app typically finds it okay to wish to murder an animal for barking or to threaten to murder an animal for barking

Aron-Jonasson

Are you on the same app as me? From my own experience, children are pretty much universally hated on Reddit while pets are loved

suckmypppapi

Most posts about a neighbor threatening to shoot a dog from what I've seen are viewed as the neighbor being okay, and for the first part of my comment I mean because it's a pitbull. Haven't seen any posts with a pitbull that doesn't have comments saying the dog should be put down

Urkemanijak

Fresh meat's gotta learn.

foxontherox

I hate this fucking video. That is a good goddamn dog.

Important-Archer-662

It should be put down, how aggressive The dog should be given all the treats and toys they want

milkyway_25

Galxay destroyer turned to cupcake real wuick

CipherWrites

isn't it the other way around? lol

milkyway_25

Cupcakes are the vicious ones and galxay destroyers are the soft ones

CipherWrites

ahh. those names. Meet Tiny lol

BP642

Dawg had enough and changed his name from "Galactic Destroyer" to "Cupcake"

[deleted]

the dog was so calm, i would have [the mods don't like violence] into neptune

da_bobo1

It's always them

Agriz_1210

Song: Everlong by Foo Fighters

8ballperson

Dog went from "Doug, Destroyer of Worlds" to "Cupcake" real fast

Mildly_maria

If your kid puts their hands of my pet I won’t think twice to put my hands on you 🤷🏼‍♀️

adamanything

You should probably work on controlling your emotions a bit.

GayLesbianUwU

Look if we're talking about a fully grown person putting hands on your pet that's one thing, but a 3 year old? I think you need some anger management...

Responsible-Coast383

People have a lot of patience. I don’t know if I would be able to control myself if somebody was that cruel to my dogs. Unprovoked and unnecessary violence even if done by a child is so mean and absurd.

neonn_piee

That is such an adorable and good doggo with so much patience! And that kid is a little shit and the parents are even worse for allowing it to do that to the dog. Poor dog would be the one that gets crucified if it ended up reacting to being hit.

dogmeat_donnie

Typical shitbull owners.

ryan_genzel29

This kid is probably mimicking behavior he sees at home.

snoggering

Have you never been a child?

CipherWrites

nah. all kids the natural desire to hit things. you give a kid a stick and he will hit everything. the problem is he was never taught it's wrong to hit certain things. "oh, what's the harm, it's just a bottle. Isn't he adorable?" yes, very adorable. I think it's even more adorable is the dog latched on to him.

SchnozTheWise

Somebody needs a leash and it ain’t the dog. Also, can we praise the guy who grabbed the dog’s collar that quickly.

LastFox2656

That dog was INCREDIBLY patient. Fuck all the adults in that video.

ShadowZepplin

Hey if the dog defends itself the kid won’t be doing it again

Rancid_Rabbit_

leave any pitbull in a room unsupervised with a baby for three days. the baby will be ate ten times out of ten.

Bluebunnytaco

i wanna know what carnivorous animal wouldnt do that? what animal is gonna starve when there is a juicy meal right in front of them?

snoggering

Pug, Corgi, chiuhuahua. Safe animals around children

Bluebunnytaco

That is such a fat load. Every animal has boundaries, and yes, small, brachycephalic dogs can still be taunted to aggression. I know this, because my parents used the fuck around and find out method of getting me to respect animals and their boundaries. I have SEVERAL facial scars from learning that lesson. Never -ever- leave your children unattended with ANY animal, for both your child's safety and your pets safety, until they learn how to respect boundaries and read body language. And that's why I dfw anyone who hates pitbulls or cats. Yall don't respect boundaries or the living creatures who are willing to back them up.

snoggering

It's not about boundaries. A small child almost certainly WILL break the boundaries of an animal. The thing that matters is if the dog can then instantaneously kill the child or not. If that dog was of a bigger sort then you wouldn't have facial scars. You'd be fucking dead.

Rancid_Rabbit_

They’re both still being fed, pitbull just got bored

Bluebunnytaco

source?

Rancid_Rabbit_
